“Shari did a great job taking care of my little Chihuahua. She sent lots of photos and messages. I always have anxiety when I leave my fur baby but Shari put me at ease!”
“Carolyn is fantastic with my Yorkie, after a quick search and find we got lucky to find Carolyn who started immediately and hope this continues after our 1st week went very well. Thanks again! Jim & Gia”

“Sarah does a great job with my 2 shepsky dogs! I appreciate the rover card with many pictures every visit. My dogs are happier when I come home from work. Thank you Sarah!”

“I appreciated the updates daily, seeing photos of my cats daily brought peace of mind while I was away! Bethany was willing to water our tomatoes as well, and she scooped their litter more than requested which was kind. She was patient with our timid cat and played with the one that was interested. She was also friendly when we met up before the trip, and asked questions that showed she was invested in caring for our cats. Would recommend!”

“Rebecca is AMAZING! Highly recommended. Walter felt instantly welcomed and loved when they first met, we knew it would be a great match. When we came home from our ski day, he was so happy! We also came back to a hand wrote note from Rebecca - which is so unheard of! We were provided photos throughout the visits, and Rebecca kept us informed throughout her visit. Can’t want to continue to have Walter loved on by Rebecca!! 🐾🥰”

“So grateful for Tabbi, Adam and family as usual. They did a great job caring for my kitty. Always excellent communication and lots of love given and great pictures.”

“Dixie was great with our 3 cats. I appreciate all of the updates, and photos. She played with our cats and took the time to make them feel comfortable while they got to know her for the first couple of days.”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was young. Whether it's my own dogs or those of friends and neighbors, I treat every pup like family. I have experience with walks, feeding, bath time, playtime, and providing plenty of love and attention. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring hands. I’m available Thursday-Monday before 9a.m. And after 6p.m. As well as all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I’m also available to take overnights any day of the week. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I know every dog has different needs, so I'll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special routines. During walks, I'll keep dogs securely leashed and stay aware of our surroundings. I'll provide plenty of attention, playtime, and affection while making sure they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can feel confident your pup is happy and well cared for while you're away.
“Katie gave AMAZING updates and pictures. She honored my dog's routine and gave me peace of mind knowing my sweet old girl was in good hands while we were gone. I will definitely rebook her in the future!”

“Darlene was wonderful! She did a great job administering my cat’s medications twice a day and gave me good updates. I highly recommend her, especially for your more needy pets.”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet caregiver with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. For 6 years, I managed a professional dog boarding facility, where I gained extensive experience with everything from daily care and enrichment to handling different temperaments and special needs. I’ve also worked in a veterinary clinic, giving me additional knowledge and comfort when it comes to recognizing health concerns and providing attentive care. I now work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to offer plenty of time, attention, and availability for your pets’ needs. Whether your pup needs walks, companionship, medication support, extra patience, or simply someone who understands them, I’m happy to help. My own 12-year-old rescue pup recently crossed the rainbow bridge. He was a reactive dog, and he taught me the importance of meeting dogs where they are, building trust, and creating a safe environment for every personality type. I have a genuine appreciation for dogs who need a little extra understanding and am comfortable working with pets who may be shy, anxious, reactive, or have other special needs. I do have a friendly cat and a younger child in my home, so for dogs who are reactive and unable to comfortably be around them, I kindly ask that services take place in your home where your pet can feel safest and most relaxed. I look forward to getting to know you and your pets and providing the same care, patience, and love I would want for my own. My flexible work-from-home schedule allows me to tailor my care around your pet’s individual needs. Whether your dog thrives on frequent walks, needs extra potty breaks, requires medication reminders, benefits from a slower pace, or simply needs more one-on-one attention, I have the availability to provide consistent and reliable care. Because I work from home, I’m able to be present throughout the day rather than fitting pets into a busy schedule. I understand that every pet has their own routine, comfort level, and personality, and I’m happy to adjust my approach to help them feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. From energetic pups who need enrichment and activity to senior pets who need patience and a little extra support, my schedule gives me the flexibility to provide the kind of personalized attention each pet deserves. My approach to caring for animals is centered around patience, trust, and treating every pet as an individual. I believe animals communicate in their own ways, and it’s important to take the time to understand their personality, comfort level, and needs rather than expecting every pet to fit the same mold. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and positive environment where pets feel respected and cared for. Whether that means a long walk, extra playtime, quiet companionship, a slower introduction, or simply sticking to their familiar routine, I adjust my care to what makes each animal happiest and most comfortable. My experience has taught me that the best caregivers are observant, patient, and willing to meet pets where they are. I take pride in building trust with animals and providing the same level of care, attention, and compassion that I would want someone to give my own pets.
“Fantastic and went above and beyond for our pets. When we go on future trips we will definitely be reaching out again! Thank you so much for the attention and care you provided to our furry friends.”

“My cat is normally very shy- but he loved Cedar! She was thorough, communicative, friendly and did everything I had asked. Great experience all around. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Grace made traveling away from our cat so much smoother! We knew he was in good hands and her check ins kept us reassured. He took a quick liking to her and we are so happy to have a great pet sitter for future trips!”

“Bre is a professional, punctual Rover. She asked the right questions beforehand and sent lots of pictures of her drop-in visits. Luna is always ecstatic to see her! Thank you, Bre!”

“Andrea is a wonderfully kind, responsive, and responsible sitter. She’s great about sending pictures, videos, and updates. I will continue to book her for as long as she’s available!”
“Devin is amazing. It’s the second time she’s taken care of my cat. She sends detailed updates and pictures that make it easier to be away. She goes out of her way to learn what my cat likes and how she likes to play. You couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter!”

“Edina is truly amazing! I continually rebook Edina because she is caring, thoughtful, and reliable. She takes time to get to know my dog Keiko and develops a relationship that lets Keiko feel comfortable while I am away for work. I wouldn't choose anyone else, Edina is the best!”

“Rachelle is amazing! I cannot thank her enough. My two boys can be wild and she was so attentive and kind. Her problem solving when they act like gremlins was so helpful. Calmed my anxiety about leaving my boys ten folds!”

Megan has been so great! Had pet sitters fall through but thankfully for her, we were still able to go on our trip and know our pets were taken care of. She is always on time and I love the pictures and updates she gives while we’re gone. Would completely recommend her and plan to rebook her in the future. Thank you, Megan for taking such great care of my fur babies.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Carson. On Rover:

- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
