About: I've had cats along with my Dogs ever since 1973. When we were stationed in Guam the first pets we adopted were 2 Siamese kittens. A month later we also adopted a Sheltie puppy. They became best friends and even played and slept together with us. The kittens would even jump upon the back of the couch and meow at me when I came home from work and we would have a conversation. The cats pictured above are Sam and Moose and they belong to my son and daughter in Law. We have lots of cuddle time when they are at work. I enjoy spending time with their cats as well as other cats that I've taken care of over the years.

We have had some pets who have peed in the house despite being house broken. If needed we do put belly bands/&or diapers on your pet if they use our carpet/and or furniture instead of outside. About: I have previously volunteered with a county SPCA organization taking dogs out for car rides and walks. And giving cats the love they needed during a very unsettled time for them. In homes, I have cared for up to 3 dogs (each about 100 pounds) and cats at a time, dropping in two or three times a day when the owners were away for work or vacations. I would refill food and water, play with the animals, and let them out for toilet breaks/ clean the litter box, and water plants. I have had dogs for about 10 years, and I have dog/cat sat on and off while going to school for just as long. I have also aced Rover's Safety Quiz for recognizing behaviors and keeping your animal safe. I work part-time leaving ample time to do pop-ins and walks. I'm available: Mon-Thurs: before 8:45am and after 1pm Fri and Sat: before 8:45am and after 6:30pm Sun: All day I prefer to meet you and your animals first, so that we can establish trust and go over any specifics for your fur baby. Taking care of animals in their usual environment allows them not to stray from routine and gives them a sense of ease. For added peace of mind. When I am caring for your animals, I will not be caring for anyone else's. You can rest easy knowing that when we are on a walk I am only walking your fur babies.

About: I've had dogs and cats usually both at the same time as my children were growing up. Since early 70's. I loved them and they seem to like me ok. The last dog I had was a Border Collie rescue that I adopted in Omaha 2017 she was found in Louisiana. Her and I moved to Colorado in 2020. She was very sweet and also loved other animals in the building where we lived including cats. Sadly, she passed 2024. We could communicate just with body language and looking into each other's eyes as I spoke to her. I still interact with all the dogs in the building when I see them. We would also go on hikes up at Palmer Park on the off-leash dog trail. Made a lot of friends with dogs there as well. I now live with my children and their 3 cats. They are very sweet also. Lots of cuddle time. Our pets just need love and attention and know that we care. So, I do tend to spoil them while abiding by the rules. I do have obligations a couple of times a week during the day. I'm usually gone about 2-3 hours when that happens. Evening meetings twice a month for couple of hours. I will do errands and help friends out from time to time. However, when I am scheduled to take care of a pet I work my schedule around them. Thursday mornings are the only day I cannot reschedule but I'm only gone for 2-3 hours average. Take the dogs for walks if client wishes / allows. Pay attention to cats and dogs so they don't feel alone. Stick to the routine the clients have set for them. Also change cats litter boxes when needed.

I truly love spending time with dogs and enjoy everything from leisurely neighborhood walks to long, adventurous hikes and energetic play sessions. I have two dogs of my own: Blossom, my sweet long-haired miniature Dachshund, and Cactus, my playful black Goldendoodle. We’re a very active family that enjoys outdoors and playing in our fenced yard! If you’re thinking of dog boarding / doggy day care in our home, here’s a couple important things to keep in mind. - We have two dogs and a fish that stay on our main level and upstairs area. Which is totally separated from the basement away from any animals I’m sitting as a caution and courtesy. - We CAN keep our dogs separated from your fur baby while they stay in our home to include separation in our fenced yard as we wouldn’t let them out at the same time to be extra careful. - Our basement is furnished so I would live downstairs with your fur baby while they’re here. - Our basement has a door with direct access to the backyard from downstairs. - My husband works from home full time downstairs, all day, so your furbaby would never be alone between the both of us. We’re able to accommodate most requests and can answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out. She was flexible before she started caring for my dog to meet with me twice to meet my dog and me and to discuss all care instructions for my dog. The Rover updates were so wonderful and gave me peace of mind while I was away. Alisha always included pictures of walks and meal times.
