Pet care experience
Hi! I work in the medical field as my main job. I have served overseas and that's primarily where my pet sitting experience began. We had a lot of 4-day weekends/holidays and while many people traveled, I was busy working on a degree and caring for their furry family members. Personally, I've had dogs since I was young, in addition to a couple hamsters, fish, lizards and hermit crabs. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, walking, kayaking, hiking and spending time with family and friends, to include my dog, Zoey. Your furry family members would be free to spend any of that time with me provided any special health issues, location restrictions (i.e. certain stores or restaurants), or owner preferences (i.e. the owner prefer them to remain at home instead).
Reviews
Helped us out with our cat last minute! Was professional, friendly, and great! Highly recommend and would definitely trust her to take care of your pets!
Amber was just wonderful with Lola and Horton, checking in on them while I had to work a longer shift recently. She let them out to potty, refilled their water bowl and I'm sure smothered them with love and attention. We all thank you!! AND...I appreciated the pictures... :)
Wonderful sitter -great with multiple dogs!!!
Amber was amazing! Can’t wait to have her dog sit Huckleberry again.

Information Amber B. would like to know about your pet
I do have my own transportation and have references as well as a few reviews on here of those who I've sat for in their homes. And of course, I can do and love drop-in visits and walks. I do not have breed, age or size preferences for dogs of overnight house stays. I would like to know how your dog(s) are with other dogs and out in the community for walks, any special needs, etc. I hope to hear from you soon!
A typical day
In addition to feedings, ensuring fresh water, and a little playtime, I enjoy taking dogs for walks, giving us both exercise. I also do bathing, minor grooming and a little massage if you and your pet allow. My dog loves to get massages. Not only is it relaxing for her, but as I gently massage certain areas, such as the abdomen, I can check for any new lumps, growths, etc that may become worrisome. I have administered medications to my own dog and some I have sat for in Germany, by mouth and eye especially. I do not currently have but am working on obtaining pet CPR and other certifications. I am certified for people just not pets, yet. Depending on the dog, their habits, location, owner preferences and more, the dog may either sleep with me, in their own bed, in a crate. I typically only have a dog sleep in their crate per the owner's request or suggestion. Cats usually sleep where they like anyway as they can be somewhat particular. Any other pets, any other questions, I'd be glad to discuss with you. I love pets. I primarily sit for dogs, however, am able to care for a variety of animals. I have one awesome, tiny dog of my own, Zoey (4 lb Chorkie), who loves to travel and go places with me but understands when she can't. I also have a Leopard Gecko and a bearded dragon.
