About: Hi, I'm Dan! My best buddy Yama was born in January of 2019, he is now a seven year old good boy. I am a former Army infantry medic and am attending graduate school remotely from my house. I grew up on a farm in Oregon where I was surrounded with all sorts of animals from a young age. I love all animals, especially dogs. My style is fairly permissive, especially with other people's dogs, but I am clear on boundaries, redirect when needed, and give lots of love and positive energy. I don't buy into the dominance theory training methodology and am a big fan of Karen Pryor's training methods. I am happy to answer any questions you have on my philosophy. I live and work at home, so we do daily walks, play time in the backyard, mental enrichment activities, and low active / layabout sessions. I work from home full-time, so your dog is never left alone for long and always has eyes on them throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced yard, and I take introductions between dogs slowly and intentionally, reading body language carefully before giving anyone free run of the space. My seven year old dog Yama is a steady, positive presence who helps visiting dogs settle in. I use positive reinforcement exclusively because a dog that feels safe and understood is a dog that behaves safely. If anything ever seems off medically or behaviorally, I'll contact you promptly - that being said, that hasn't ever happened.

About: With over 20 years of pet care experience and a background as a veterinary technician, your pet is in good hands with me. I am comfortable in medicine administration and ensure your pet stays safe, healthy, and stress-free while you are away. I have an open schedule in the summer, so I am able to spend quality time with your pet while you are away. I live a block from Bear Creek dog park and love to take dogs on walks multiple times throughout the day. Safety is my absolute priority. I maintain a structured, low stress environment, to ensure my two older children, my friendly resident cat, and your pet all coexist safely. My cat has a dedicated safe zone blocked off from guest pets if needed. My children are highly trained around animals and all interactions are 100% supervised.

About: I enjoy dogs more than people. When I used to live on Guam, there was a period i was watching 4 dogs, 2 of which were mine. One happened to be a pit bull, and another happened to be rottweiler. The other 2 were medium sized. Now, that I am no longer in Guam I have 3 dogs that me and my wife take care of. I have my 2 from Guam. I havent been around all types of dogs, but I really enjoy them all. I find their different personalities and their energy levels interesting. I enjoy walking my dogs, so I think it would be fun to walk other peoples dogs. When I’m not working and time permits, i like taking my pups hiking in the mountains with me. Thank you for checking out my profile ! I walk my three girls at least five days a week. And when I have a day off, i love taking them into the mountains. Each dog is different. Different pup parents have different plans for their babies, so their rules come first. But if permitted, i would love to share the same trails I explore with our four legged partners.

About: I have taken care of animals nearly my entire life. I grew up working on my aunt's horse ranch, I'm a volunteer advanced dog walker for the humane society, and I do volunteer animal care for wolf dogs at the wolf and wildlife rescue. I've had a lifelong love and appreciation for animals, and I have the skills & patience to make sure their needs are met. I'm currently retired from the military, so spend my day taking care of my own animals as well as volunteering at the humane society and wolf and wildlife rescue. I frequently go on neighborhood walks, and would love to share those walks with neighborhood pups. I have fully fenced yard, and over fifteen years of experience providing animal care. I have a deep love and respect for animals. I'm observant, and will be patient and attentive to any pup under my care.

He can be a handful on walks and she did really well with him! On top of that, our flight got cancelled and Jennie was nice enough to walk and feed our dog an extra night and morning before we could get home! About: I was a member of Rams for Rescues, a animal shelter volunteering club at Colorado State University. While there, I gained significant experience in caring for our furry friends! I can walk dogs, clean up after them, make sure they are fed and also play with them! I have two cats of my own, and because of this I have experience giving medication. I’m currently a college student looking for a job, and thought that pet sitting would be the perfect fit! I’m super flexible and available most days of the week, including overnights or weekends if needed . I prioritize keeping pets comfortable, safe, and stress-free in their normal environment and routine. About: I love animals. I have taken care of my family and friends' dogs over the past twenty years and have been entrusted with both housesitting as well as walking, bathing, and administering medications. I have had many different pets growing up and housed over 30 cats in my lifetime. I volunteered for 7 years at my local nature center as the animal caretaker growing up and currently have a year's worth of volunteering at the Wild Blue Sanctuary in Colorado Springs. Animals quickly warm up to me because of my compassion and sensitive nature, and if you allow me to care for your fur baby I will show them as much attention and love as I know you give them! *Extremely punctual for all appointments, even a bit early!* *I am very strong on communication and send many pictures during care time* *I will retrieve your mail and packages left at the door, as well as water plants if needed* I currently work remotely from home and have a very flexible schedule. I am very familiar with the Colorado Springs area as well as animal-friendly parks and pathways. I do not need much notice to help you with your animals and home, and I don't mind last-minute cancellations, as I know life happens! I am available when you need me - days, nights, weekends, or week stays (we can discuss if you need longer). I also will put your pet's care as a priority so if they require something like specific attention or multiple walks a day, I am here to help! I currently have a cat at home - but she is indoor/outdoor and I have multiple indoor facilities on my property so mixing your pets with mine will not be an issue. Your pet will be taken care of at my home as if it is my own! I do not have a fenced-in yard but I live in a more forested area of the city with many dog-friendly hiking trails so we can stretch your fur baby's legs frequently on a leash, so that's not a problem. If I am caring for your pet at your house - you set the rules, and I abide. I am here to help in the way you need.
