Rachel has such an amazing intuition with dogs and can sense exactly how they’re feeling, and knows how to make them comfortable instantly. About: I've always had dogs in my house since I was a kid. I grew up learning how to take care of our four-paws friends :) When I was 14 years old, I already took care of several dogs in my neighborhood and they all always trusted me. About: I've been around dogs my whole life- growing up, our family dogs always slept in my room, played hide and seek with me, and I've always been the one naturally drawn to caring for and protecting animals that crossed my path. Taking extra time on walks, giving meds, making sure they feel safe and comfy, just how I'd hope someone would care for me and/or Madi. I think I'm unique in the way that I see that every dog just like all of my former students, they're all different. They each have their own little mind filled with thoughts in their own little world. The kids and 4 legged kids, they need the same individualized care and attention, and also to feel accepted and understood. I run a small truckling company which allows me to have pretty flexible hours during the day, which is why I decided to get on Rover. Madi and I are pretty routine, as we prefer less chaos lol. About: I’ve had all kinds of pets growing up through childhood, always had dogs and cats especially. Worked at a vet clinic for 2 years, loved it and miss it. Took courses on animal care and calming while working in the clinic. I’m currently working at Amazon as a flex employee, right now I’m only working 1-2 days a week there. About: I recently moved near Lake Eola, so I’m a new local! About a year ago, I lost my sweet pup and while I’m not quite ready to open my heart to getting another dog of my own, I’ve realized just how much I miss the little things 🥺 seeing tails wag when I walk through the door, the smell of Frito paws and somehow always finding fur stuck to my clothes. “Eric and his wife are incredible... We had originally booked another sitter for our vacation, and unfortunately had to pick our 4 pups up the next morning on emergency due some issues with the sitter’s behavior and lack of communication. Rover reached out for us to get us a new sitter quickly and Eric immediately called us to assess the situation with our pups. That phone call and conversation alone showed us commitment. When we dropped them off he was so helpful in reassuring us that our pups would be taken care of. We even hung out for a good 20 minutes just chatting while the pups ran around his huge backyard to make sure everyone was comfortable. Eric is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and he was even sweeter to our pups. Since he works from home, he was able to give them constant care and love, and they even let our pups sleep in their room & bed. I was a little nervous that one of our pups is still recovering from back surgery & an eye injury but they did phenomenal with taking care of his needs. The goal for the last year has been to find a sitter we know can always be our go to, and I truly believe we have found that in Eric and his wife. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and am actually thankful that we had issues with the previous sitter or else we may have never found Eric! About: I have grown up with all types of animals from dogs and cats, to birds and horses. I have a cat, two guinea pigs, a leopard gecko, and a dog myself. I also have experience working over two years in an animal shelter taking care of both dogs and cats. I adopted my current dog at 5 months and we have spent the last year training, so I am comfortable using various commands to communicate with your dogs. I am currently a post grad taking a semester off so I am available full time to take care of your animals. I can drop in, do dog walks, and doggy day care or overnights. I have a large fenced in yard but live with multiple cats and a dog (who is very friendly but hyper). If that environment would not work for your animal I could do day care or drop ins at your residence, although i can only do overnights at my house.
