About: I've been pet-sitting for friends, family, and referrals for the past 10 years. Yorkies, Doodles, Dachshunds, and other mixed breed dogs, cats, and birds. About: Beginning in childhood, I’ve had several dog breeds (over 20!) that I’ve been tasked to take care of, play with, keep healthy and whose needs I’ve grown to pay attention to and understand. I adore animals and I approach them gently and mindfully, always considering what support will help prolong their lifespan and keep them happy, yet trained and behaved. My friends and family often call on me to either keep their pets company, train or housesit them, and I’m always more than happy to spend time with their animals. I firmly believe pets are not toys, and much more like our own kids, deserving of care, compassion, joy and attention. I have 17+ years experience taking care of and loving French bulldogs and pugs, who notoriously require extra responsibility, attention and instruction, as they can be stubborn and prone to health and breathing issues (often brought on by heat). I have cared for senior dogs who deserve nothing but love towards the end of their lives, and also puppies who need time spent on training and feeling safe, and lots of play and activity to stimulate their growing minds. I am a graduate student, with flexible availability between Saturday to Tuesday, during my off days, when I’ll be studying from home, often lounging and relaxing in my space. Having a pet to look after, feed and care for would not only be a very welcomed time commitment, but would make my space feel even more homely and bring me joy. I run frequently, so for dogs able to run I will take them on my daily run, but we take long walks around the lake(s) as a family every day. I have a fully fenced yard but also always accompany pets in the backyard to be fully monitored. We have chime alarms and elevated childproof locks on every door so there is no possibility of a door being opened without an adult. We have flood and fire alarms and all fire extinguishers are up to date on inspection. We have a backup XL crate we store away in the garage if you are traveling from out of state and don’t want to transport yours if needed.

I work fully remote from home, which gives me lots of flexibility and allows me to be present with your pet throughout the day! I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention rather than leaving your pet alone for long stretches. My schedule is flexible, so I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while they’re with me. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and any instructions you provide regarding feeding, walks, medications, or other needs. I’m attentive and will make sure your pet is supervised, secure on walks, and given plenty of love and attention. I’m also happy to send photos and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing how your pet is doing!

About: I grew up caring for multiple large dogs and cats simultaneously. One of the two labs required extra care as he lost a rear limb when he was a puppy. I currently am blessed with a beautiful domestic long hair cat named Misty that has extra grooming needs and requires extensive daily brushing. My professional lifestyle allows me plenty of available time to meet the needs of any unique or variable schedules for both my own and your pets sitting and walking needs. I’m an experienced dog walker and actively engage with animals to keep their attention and gain their trust. For cats I groom and brush daily as well as reinforce positive behavior through praise training.
