About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. About: Beginning in childhood, I’ve had several dog breeds (over 20!) that I’ve been tasked to take care of, play with, keep healthy and whose needs I’ve grown to pay attention to and understand. I adore animals and I approach them gently and mindfully, always considering what support will help prolong their lifespan and keep them happy, yet trained and behaved. My friends and family often call on me to either keep their pets company, train or housesit them, and I’m always more than happy to spend time with their animals. About: I grew up caring for multiple large dogs and cats simultaneously. One of the two labs required extra care as he lost a rear limb when he was a puppy. I currently am blessed with a beautiful domestic long hair cat named Misty that has extra grooming needs and requires extensive daily brushing. My professional lifestyle allows me plenty of available time to meet the needs of any unique or variable schedules for both my own and your pets sitting and walking needs. I’m an experienced dog walker and actively engage with animals to keep their attention and gain their trust. For cats I groom and brush daily as well as reinforce positive behavior through praise training.
