About: Beginning in childhood, I’ve had several dog breeds (over 20!) that I’ve been tasked to take care of, play with, keep healthy and whose needs I’ve grown to pay attention to and understand. I adore animals and I approach them gently and mindfully, always considering what support will help prolong their lifespan and keep them happy, yet trained and behaved. My friends and family often call on me to either keep their pets company, train or housesit them, and I’m always more than happy to spend time with their animals. About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. I also don’t mind if they snuggle next to me on the bed or if they want to relax on the couch.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life- growing up, our family dogs always slept in my room, played hide and seek with me, and I've always been the one naturally drawn to caring for and protecting animals that crossed my path. I currently have my own furry kid, a Shih Tzu/ Bichon mix with a pink tail, so daily walks, feeding/ potty routines, playtime, and lots of love is my joy, my connection with my soulful self. I was a schoolteacher for 8 years, elementary and middle school. I'm patient, attentive, kind, and treat every pet like I'd want a human to treat my baby. I'm comfortable with puppy care, the frequent potty schedule, supervision, and playtime. I'm also comfortable caring for senior dogs (as my Boston terrier lived beautifully until the age of 15). Taking extra time on walks, giving meds, making sure they feel safe and comfy, just how I'd hope someone would care for me and/or Madi. I think I'm unique in the way that I see that every dog just like all of my former students, they're all different. They each have their own little mind filled with thoughts in their own little world. The kids and 4 legged kids, they need the same individualized care and attention, and also to feel accepted and understood. I run a small truckling company which allows me to have pretty flexible hours during the day, which is why I decided to get on Rover. Madi and I are pretty routine, as we prefer less chaos lol. I am currently a post grad taking a semester off so I am available full time to take care of your animals. I can drop in, do dog walks, and doggy day care or overnights. I have a large fenced in yard but live with multiple cats and a dog (who is very friendly but hyper). If that environment would not work for your animal I could do day care or drop ins at your residence, although i can only do overnights at my house.
About: I recently moved near Lake Eola, so I’m a new local! About a year ago, I lost my sweet pup and while I’m not quite ready to open my heart to getting another dog of my own, I’ve realized just how much I miss the little things 🥺 seeing tails wag when I walk through the door, the smell of Frito paws and somehow always finding fur stuck to my clothes. I’d love the opportunity to pour that love and care into your fur babies. Truthfully, I’m not doing this because I need to.. I simply miss being around dogs and all the joy they bring. Becoming a dog walker and sitter feels like the perfect way to reconnect with that part of my heart while giving your pup the attention, belly rubs, affection, and care I gave my own. My goal is simple: to love and care for your pup as if they were my own 🤍🐾 Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I currently work on weekends, which means my weekdays are very open and flexible. I know many people have busy 9–5 schedules, long days and unexpected things coming up so my availability makes life a little easier. Living in a building myself, I understand that apartment living with a pet can sometimes mean extra trips downstairs, rushing home during lunch breaks, or trying to squeeze walks into an already busy day. I’m willing and able to help with walks, potty breaks, playtime, and making sure your pup gets the attention and care they need while you’re away 😊 Every dog has their own personality, routine, schedule and comfort level so I want to make sure every pet parent feels secure and confident when letting me sit or walk. I’m big on following instructions because I understand the consequences that come with negligence. I can handle feeding schedules, medications, crate preferences, potty routines etc! I also believe safety goes both ways. I’d love to know about any previous aggression, fears, triggers, anxieties, or behaviors I should be aware of beforehand so I can take any extra precautions needed and approach your pup with patience, understanding, and care. Every dog deserves to feel safe and comfortable, and knowing these things helps create the best experience for both of us 🐕🦺

“Eric and his wife are incredible... We had originally booked another sitter for our vacation, and unfortunately had to pick our 4 pups up the next morning on emergency due some issues with the sitter’s behavior and lack of communication. Rover reached out for us to get us a new sitter quickly and Eric immediately called us to assess the situation with our pups. That phone call and conversation alone showed us commitment. When we dropped them off he was so helpful in reassuring us that our pups would be taken care of. We even hung out for a good 20 minutes just chatting while the pups ran around his huge backyard to make sure everyone was comfortable. Eric is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and he was even sweeter to our pups. Since he works from home, he was able to give them constant care and love, and they even let our pups sleep in their room & bed. I was a little nervous that one of our pups is still recovering from back surgery & an eye injury but they did phenomenal with taking care of his needs. The goal for the last year has been to find a sitter we know can always be our go to, and I truly believe we have found that in Eric and his wife. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and am actually thankful that we had issues with the previous sitter or else we may have never found Eric!
