“Eric and his wife are incredible... We had originally booked another sitter for our vacation, and unfortunately had to pick our 4 pups up the next morning on emergency due some issues with the sitter’s behavior and lack of communication. Rover reached out for us to get us a new sitter quickly and Eric immediately called us to assess the situation with our pups. That phone call and conversation alone showed us commitment. When we dropped them off he was so helpful in reassuring us that our pups would be taken care of. We even hung out for a good 20 minutes just chatting while the pups ran around his huge backyard to make sure everyone was comfortable. Eric is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and he was even sweeter to our pups. Since he works from home, he was able to give them constant care and love, and they even let our pups sleep in their room & bed. I was a little nervous that one of our pups is still recovering from back surgery & an eye injury but they did phenomenal with taking care of his needs. The goal for the last year has been to find a sitter we know can always be our go to, and I truly believe we have found that in Eric and his wife. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and am actually thankful that we had issues with the previous sitter or else we may have never found Eric! Leda cared so much for Luna and we really appreciated her honesty when she notified us when she felt Luna was showing signs of missing us later in the day. I have to say, Luna is not used to being without us and it was the first time we had left her for so long, so it was somewhat expected that this would happen. Anyway, Leda’s honesty helped us feel good that we left her in good hands.”
About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. About: I’ve had all kinds of pets growing up through childhood, always had dogs and cats especially. Worked at a vet clinic for 2 years, loved it and miss it. Took courses on animal care and calming while working in the clinic. I’m currently working at Amazon as a flex employee, right now I’m only working 1-2 days a week there. I make my own schedule there and I plan to make my pet sitting schedule a priority. About: I've been around dogs my whole life- growing up, our family dogs always slept in my room, played hide and seek with me, and I've always been the one naturally drawn to caring for and protecting animals that crossed my path. They each have their own little mind filled with thoughts in their own little world. I run a small truckling company which allows me to have pretty flexible hours during the day, which is why I decided to get on Rover. Madi and I are pretty routine, as we prefer less chaos lol. About: I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs over the past 5 years and have my own cats who just turned 2 this year. For cat check-ins, I can bring my own cat toys to help get your cat some activity while staying in the home. I’m 6’9” and can handle walking big dogs as well! I currently work from home with limited meetings, so pet care can be a priority during the typical work day! I’m generally available any weekday until 6pm! I can help get that needed energy out of your cat or dog! I love to play, walk, and generally spend time with animals. “Eric and his wife are incredible... We had originally booked another sitter for our vacation, and unfortunately had to pick our 4 pups up the next morning on emergency due some issues with the sitter’s behavior and lack of communication. Rover reached out for us to get us a new sitter quickly and Eric immediately called us to assess the situation with our pups. That phone call and conversation alone showed us commitment. When we dropped them off he was so helpful in reassuring us that our pups would be taken care of. We even hung out for a good 20 minutes just chatting while the pups ran around his huge backyard to make sure everyone was comfortable. Eric is one of the kindest people you will ever meet, and he was even sweeter to our pups. Since he works from home, he was able to give them constant care and love, and they even let our pups sleep in their room & bed. I was a little nervous that one of our pups is still recovering from back surgery & an eye injury but they did phenomenal with taking care of his needs. The goal for the last year has been to find a sitter we know can always be our go to, and I truly believe we have found that in Eric and his wife. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and am actually thankful that we had issues with the previous sitter or else we may have never found Eric!
