“Jayla has been wonderful to George, and she’s really tried hard to make sure he is happy on his walks. She is responsive and timely and a kind person. She has done an excellent job, and I highly recommend her!”

About: We’ve both had dogs in our family since we were young! We also just had a new addition to our family, paçoca! She’s a nova scotia duck toller. Her name means little peanut in portuguese and nothing describes her better than that. we love nothing more than to be around dogs. We would love to care for yours! We both work a hybrid schedule and at least one of us is always available to care for, play, and walk pets as many times as needed. We can provide your dog with the exercise they may need, whether it is a morning run, long walk in the afternoon, or dog park visit. We live in a pet-friendly two bedroom apartment with lots of light and space. Dogs we’ve cared for prior really enjoyed laying on the couch/their beds and getting some sun. We live very close to Logan Circle, which is a great, pleasant and green space in downtown DC for dogs to walk and play with other dogs. We love incorporating the pets’ routines into our own and can adapt as needed. Taking them on walks during the day is a great opportunity to take work breaks, get some fresh air, and enjoy the day. Our apartment is spacious and gets lots of sunlight, which the dogs love! It’s also close to lots of nice green areas such as Logan Circle or the S street dog park!
“Awanti was amazing with Rocky! She walked him every day for 8 straight days over the holiday, greatly helping me out when I had a crazy work schedule. Would absolutely trust her again and would recommend her 100%!”

About: I have been around dogs since I was a kid and got my first dog at the age of five. Besides my personal experience taking care of all the dogs my family and I have had throughout the years, I have also done dog/cat sitting (overnight and drop in) for family friends. I am extremely thorough in my care for animals as I realize they are a part of the family. I have no issues working with animals (although I have mostly worked with dogs) who have high levels of energy or specific requirements. I have also overnight sat for more than one dog at a time. I work remote and am often able to care for dogs throughout my day. With a flexible work schedule, I can ensure that I am taking care of your dog whenever works best for them! While I am in an apartment, I live alone and have a fairly large space. Additionally I am only a few blocks from various dog parks (if that is something you allow). I would do everything in my power to ensure that your pet feels that my space is a safe environment for them and will be sure to communicate frequently with the owner about any questions that arise.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals, combined with my responsible and attentive approach to pet care. I grew up in a home filled with pets, including dogs, cats, turtles, and hamsters, which gave me a strong foundation in caring for a variety of animals from a young age. As I got older, I became more actively responsible for caring for our family’s dog, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of dog behavior, training, and individual needs. I have experience with caring for dogs of different ages and sizes, which has given me skills in gentle handling, basic training, and special care for older pets, such as medication administration and comfort measures. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and requirements. What truly sets me apart is my personal background, combined with my work-from-home routine, allowing me to dedicate ample time and attention to the pets I care for. I treat every pet as if they were my own, prioritizing their safety, happiness, and well-being. Whether it’s providing extra cuddles, structured walks, or following detailed instructions, I am committed to creating a positive, nurturing environment for your furry family member. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I work from home and already have a well-established schedule for caring for my own dog, Luna. I take her out regularly for walks and trips to the dog park, which helps keep her happy, active, and well-socialized. This routine allows me to be highly attentive to any other dogs I care for, providing consistent exercise, playtime, and companionship. Because I’m home throughout the day, I can easily accommodate your pet’s needs, follow your instructions closely, and ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Pet care is a priority for me, and I make sure it’s integrated naturally into my daily life to give your dog the attention and care they deserve. I live with my own dog, Luna, who is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs. I have a crate available if needed, and I’m happy to use it to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. Since I work from home, I’m able to keep a close and attentive eye on your dog throughout the day, providing companionship, playtime, and care as needed. I also have cameras set up so I can monitor your dog even if I need to step out briefly, ensuring they’re always supervised. I’m committed to following all your specific instructions to make sure your dog’s routine is maintained and their needs are met. Whether it’s feeding, administering medication, or any special requirements, I’ll follow your guidance carefully, especially when caring for your dog at your home. Rest assured, I prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while providing a loving and responsible environment.
“Allyson is incredibly reliable and communicative. Our dog Luna loves her and the attentive care she consistently gives. We've been very lucky to have her as a regular walker this year.”

About: My family and I have always had dogs, cats, and horses; I was raised learning the responsibility and attention required to take proper care of them. I believe in showing all animals the utmost respect and kindness. I can promise your dogs long walks and as much outside time as they would like. I will keep your furry friend covered in hugs and kisses and make sure they experience the exceptional standard of care they deserve. I work a 9-5, M-F remote job. I am happy to come by your home in the morning, at lunchtime, after work, and/or in the evenings for walks, play time, and cuddles. Let’s chat about your pets individual needs! While I am unable to host pets in my home (out of respect for my cats who would not appreciate frequent visitors), I am happy to come to your home and provide social engagement, walks, and potty breaks for your pet while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood and playtime with your dog’s or cat’s favorite toys.
“Sophie was super great to work with and our pup loved her from the start. Sophie was extremely communicative and I even got pictures while we were away which made us feel so much better. Would definitely recommend!”

“Becky helped out while I was on vacation and my husband was flying solo with our little adult dog. She came twice a day for walks for several days. My dog is a little bit challenging and moody, but Becky persisted in doing her very best to get the job done! She was reliable, communicative, and conscientious. I am very impressed with her as a dog sitter and look forward to working with her more in the future.”
“Yulia was amazing and took such great care of our pups. She was extremely communicative and sent us photos from each walk and sent us notes about how each was doing. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by pets, and have an overwhelming love for them. Over the years, I have dog walked, cat sat, watched friends and families dogs and overall gave them a safe and welcoming experience. I believe that all animals deserve a loving environment regardless who is there. I’m currently working full time, however I only go into the office once a week. My work is flexible and I often take 1-2 walk breaks a day. I thoroughly enjoy getting outside and walking. My work is also mobile and I can bring my laptop to your house if pet sitting is needed throughout the day. I am free on weekends and weekdays to pet sit and offer overnight services. I am currently not boarding animals in my home, however I will pet sit throughout the day or overnight and provide a safe and welcoming experience. I believe that all pets deserve a loving home regardless of who is staying there. I have so much love for pets and can’t wait to meet yours!

Mary was great with Luna! A good communicator, punctual, and sent plenty of pics. In fact, we'd always planned for Luna to stay with her a few days, then my regular dog-walker had to cancel 24 hours before that trip, so Mary was also able to walk Luna at the last minute, beforehand. Would definitely hire her again.
