“Ryan was fantastic! Super reliable, quick to communicate, and treated our two cats very well while we were away. Will definitely look to work with him again if we have the chance!”

“Again, Sarah was great and very accomodating with the last minute booking request. Becasue of my job things can change very quickly so it's nice to have someone that cares for my dog to be able to accept request within a couple days of the booking itself.”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, especially cats, so I naturally understand their needs and unique personalities. Even though I’ve never owned a dog of my own, I’ve cared for many dogs through friends and family — from puppies who need full attention to older dogs who need extra patience and care. I also have experience giving pets oral medication, so I’m comfortable following special routines. My goal is to always give each pet the same love, comfort, and attention I’d want for my own! I am currently a full-time student at Howard University so I have class everyday. With any free time I have on my hands not studying or in class, I’d love to help! Im happy to take your pets on walks, give them fresh food and water, and spend quality time with them so they feel cared for while you're away. Im gentle and attentive, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Building trust is very important to me, and treat one like my own! :)

About: I grew up living with and caring for two large bloodhounds and 3 cats. I love all animals and love making senior animals feel comfortable. I’m a student so I have a predictable schedule with breaks for pet care! I’m available most mornings and evenings and I have breaks in the afternoon. I’m confident walking and caring for dogs of all sizes. I am also confident in managing more than one animal at once and enforcing training and rules.
“Erin was great! We changed our schedule around a little last minute and she was very accommodating. She sent updates and pictures and tuckered out our little pup. We will definitely reach out to Erin again :)”

“Anna was amazing checking in on my kitties while I was away! She is very communicative and gave detailed updates every day, along with great pictures of the kitties enjoying themselves. Food, water, and litter were all sparkling when I returned. I will definitely book Anna again when I am out of town!”

“Working with Taylor was excellent! She was able to stop by and see our cat Murph on short notice, and it looks like he had a lot of fun based on the great photos she sent us. We would be happy to have her check on our pets anytime!”

“Daniel was fantastic! We communicated well in advance of drop-in visits and he made sure we received updates, pics and videos of our Patrick. I would recommend Daniel to anyone needing cat sitting services”

“Caden was a reliable and reaponsible petsitter. He was rewponsive and flexible when plans kept changing and game to give medicine when last minute need arose. Highly recommend”

“Tobias was great! He came through last minute for us as our regular sitter had to back out of sitting due to an emergency, and did super great with our pup!”

“Gracie did a fantastic job watching my cat, who needed twice a day pill administration. She was very communicative and I appreciated her sending all the pics and videos! Will definitely book with Gracie if I need a sitter in the future!”

“Molly was great! She was responsive and communicative. She followed our list and shared updates both for our pet and on our home. Our home was tidy (no spills or messes). My cat who is terrified of strangers even came out from under the bed for her which is HUGE. Would definitely have her back!”

About: I have 12+ years of experience walking and caring for my own medium to large reactive dogs. Additionally I am a frequent shelter volunteer where I walk dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I have senior experience and am comfortable assisting small to medium sized dogs on stairs or on walks as needed. I am “fear free” certified. I make my own schedule and can be fairly flexible during the weekdays for walks or drop-ins with 24 hours notice. I care for my own dog no matter the weather! I will refill any water bowls, clean up accidents if necessary, and follow any entrance/building instructions. If you have a specific walking route please let me know. Please let me know if your dog is elevator reactive or has any triggers in the building.
“Maria has been fantastic! From our very first meeting, she was incredibly responsive and professional. During every visit, she provided thorough updates that kept us at ease. Luxe, who usually sticks to the bed, actually spent his time waiting on the couch to greet Maria the moment she walked in. It was so heartening to hear how Luxe followed her around and how much they bonded on the couch together. We are so pleased with the care Maria provided!”

“Jamie is my go-to whenever my dog needs a visitor or walk when I can’t be there. She’s fantastic — whether my pup is feeling lazy or has the zoomies. She’s super communicative and can fill in on last minute notice. My dog loves her and don’t know what I would do without her!”

“Michael was great—easy to communicate with, thorough during each visit, and provided excellent daily updates. He was wonderful with my cat and clearly an animal person. I’d definitely book with him again.”

“Natalie was very kind and accommodating! From all the photos and updates, I could tell that Luna was in great hands and very well cared for. I especially appreciated that she made sure Luna got some extra playtime outside. I will definitely be rebooking!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - U Street Corridor
Hunter and Joey had the wonderful experience of having Jacquelyn as their drop-in sitter. I decided to try drop-in visits, after several unsuccessful attempts to find boarding options. I liked Jacqueline’s profile and she was the first person that I contacted. Fortunately, she accepted and was the perfect choice for Hunter and Joey who are rescues. Hunter likes to adjust to people on her own terms; Joey is terrified of everything and everyone. During our meet and greet, both became comfortable with Jacquelyn and it was obvious that she loves dogs, has extensive experience, and understands how to handle different temperaments and personalities. She provided photos and detailed notes of her visits and interactions with them. Jacquelyn is 5 stars+.

Phil was a reliable and committed cat sitter! He sent tons of pictures and detailed updates. I often have anxiety while traveling because I’m worried about my cat. But with Phil, I knew that she was kept company and genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Phil!!!

Karin took wonderful care of my cats while I was away! She came to my apartment to look after them, played with them, and made sure they always had access to food and fresh water. She also kept me updated on how everything was going and let me know about the little mischievous things my cats got up to while I was gone. What impressed me the most was how quickly my cats warmed up to her. Within just one day, they already seemed comfortable with her and trusted her, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Karin is caring, attentive, and reliable, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take great care of their pets!

Lily took such great care of Ginger! I was out of the country and a little difficult to reach but she was super responsive and sent plenty of photos, updating me on Ginger’s mood and how snuggly she was being. The apartment / Ginger’s food area was also cleaner than I left it. Would definitely recommend Lily and book her again in the future!!

It's nice to know we can count on Hannah. Our kitty is comfortable with her which makes it more comforting when we need to travel. Hannah is thorough in her reports and is diligent about following up to make sure she has the most current information about feeding, playtime, and in general all-around care. ❤️
