“Fia is absolutely fantastic! She is reliable and truly cares about my dog’s happiness and well-being. Every walk is more than just a quick trip outside, she gives my dog plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I can always tell how much my dog adores her, which gives me total peace of mind when I can’t be there. Fia also keeps me updated with photos and notes, which is such a thoughtful touch.”

“Diya was absolutely wonderful with our mini schnauzer puppy! She was punctual, followed all instructions, and left our apartment exactly the way she entered. She also left detailed notes and pictures, and our puppy was so happy and rested afterwards. We will absolutely have Diya watch our girl again many times in the future.”

“Priscilla is our savior! I am so glad that we've found her here in DC! Cannot explain how difficult it was to find someone you can trust with your house + furry family members and to be able travel without worries, just letting everything go for a moment. I usually try to think everything ahead but with Priscilla I know that if I forget something she will figure it out, it won't be an issue (which is a rare thing nowadays!) Every time we are back home kitties are happy, apartment is clean - so you can breathe out after your trip and relax. We have a joke in our family that if she moves out of DC - we'll have to relocate as well:) She is absolutely wonderful!”

“Katherine is awesome! Very lucky to have her nearby :) She always goes the extra mile - refilling his water, giving him treats, etc. and leaves detailed notes for us.”

“Sarah took wonderful care of my cat Lillian who enjoyed her company to the point where she’d meet her at the door daily with purrs! She provided pictures of every visit and made sure Lillian was entertained with her toys as well. Thank you so much Sarah!! :)”

“Olivia was wonderful and was everything I could have ever wanted in a sitter for my cat. She was communicative, attentive, and kind! Thank you Olivia!!”

“Lydia took amazing care of my senior pup Maxi! She was very communicative, on time and has a peaceful energy that helps my anxious pup relax! We love her!”

“Nicholas did such a great job! He is very caring and made sure to send me pictures of the cats during each visit. I appreciate his thoughtfulness of taking care of my cats while I was away from home.”

About: Adam and Megan are a couple that love sitting dogs. We share the responsibility when dogsitting, so you’ll have two pairs of eyes (and hearts!) taking care of your pup. We’ve looked after dogs in our apartment building and for clients in the DMV area for about a year now. Megan grew up with a labradoodle and Adam grew up with a cat, so all animals are welcomed! Adam also helped foster dogs for a year during Covid-19. With two people taking care of your pet, we’re able to ensure your pet always gets lots of cuddles and walks. We go in person to work/grad classes a few days a week, but will work with clients to ensure our schedules make a good fit for your pet. Megan and I will give your pet lots of cuddles, playtime and attention! We go on walks as often as the pet is used to. If it’s okay with the client, we like to take long walks with the pet, too (such as to the National Mall). We clean our floors to make sure there’s nothing stray that the pet can eat. We also let pets on furniture. We’ll work with the client to make sure any individual needs of the animal are met, too.
About: I spent three lovely years as a dog dad caring for an elder rescue. I’m on Rover primarily to enjoy having quality time with your pet. I’m compassionate, reliable, athletic, responsive, and absolutely attentive to your care specifications. My availability is set for weekends (when I do not work) and on days I work from home with a flexible schedule that allows for breaks as needed throughout the day. I’m very caring and responsible, and welcome any particular guidance you have on how to best care for your pet, such as routines, favorite activities, likes and dislikes.
About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 10, walking my dog and others in my neighborhood. I have dog sat for many families for the past few years and absolutely love it! I’m currently a college student, so I have a lot of free time to care for your animals! I’m free all day from Friday-Sunday, and most of the day Tuesday-Thursday when I have classes. I love giving pets care and attention! I will walk, feed, play with them, and give them lots of pets! I am also very tidy and will clean up after them.
“Dylan was amazing watching my sweet kitty Winnie. She took great care of her while I was gone and sent me cute pictures, videos, and updates. She was great with Winnie's meds. Dylan and Winnie bonded while I was away, and I will definitely book with her again. I highly recommend hiring Dylan to take care of your pet!”

“Nicholas and Larissa were very kind and professional. They followed all my instructions to a T and took great pictures and updates. Highly recommend! Would definitely book again :)”

“Maureen kept me updated regularly with pictures and videos about how my cat was doing, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. She was very concerned with making sure my cat was comfortable because he's a timid guy. I really appreciated her prompt communication.”

“Jordyn is the absolute best. She has been such an amazing help! She’s been extremely accommodating, allowing me to book long term as well as short notice. Her communication is amazing and she’s super sweet. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter.”

About: I love animals! My family has always been a huge pet-loving family and I have always loved every type of pet. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8. Growing up, I was the neighborhood pet sitter and I continued to take care of my neighbors pets when they were out of town until I moved away to college. I have taken care of numerous pets such as dogs of different sizes, cats, to even geckos. I have been relied on to drive peoples dogs places, to take care of pets while they were out of town (walking, feeding, and etc). I am a proud pet mom to 3 guinea pigs and 1 puppy. I love animals and I would love to help you out! :) I live in a ground floor apartment with a back patio that leads into the courtyard! I basically have a back yard! I am currently working part-time on Thursdays and Fridays. The rest of the week I’m available and flexible for whatever you and your fur baby may need I offer dog walking, pet care (in client’s home), boarding and doggy day care. I am very flexible and willing to help on those basis with anything that you should need help with and with different kinds of pets of all shapes and sizes!
About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, especially cats, so I naturally understand their Needs and unique personalities. Even though I’ve never owned a dog of my own, I’ve cared for many dogs through friends and family — from puppies who need full attention to older dogs who need extra patience and care. I also have experience giving pets oral medication, so I’m comfortable following special routines. My goal is always to give each pet the same love, comfort, and attention I’d want for my own! I am currently a full-time student at Howard University so I have class everyday. With any free time I have on my hands not studying or in class, I’d love to help! Im happy to take your pets on walks, give them fresh food and water, and spend quality time with them so they feel cared for while you're away. Im gentle and attentive, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Building trust is very important to me, and treat one like my own! :)
About: I grew up with problematic dogs my whole childhood. One had such severe abandonment issues when we got her that she would chew the fridge's rubber casing and eat our food until she fell asleep. Two others (brothers) were poorly trained Ghanaian guard dogs that would try to attqck anyone not in their pack, making walks difficult! Even so, I loved them dearly. I'm confident that with the dog care experiences I've had growing up, I'll be able to proactively avoid bad situations and react quickly to ensure that your dog receives the best care possible! I am currently waiting until a job starts, and looking to spend time playing with dogs because my apartment is too small to have my own. I will treat your dog(s) with love and kindness, as if they were my own. Depends on the dog! But two walks per day, food at a scheduled time, an always full water bowl, and frequent affection are all necessary! I am happy to accomodate the owners' requests.
