She even tidied around the house (unprompted!) and helped coordinate exchanging of keys since we only had one set available! About: When I was 16 I was given the choice between getting a dog or a car… and chose a dog. I always have had a love for dogs, whether it’s having my own or being able to be around others. Growing up I had an English Bulldog that I adored. After I moved to DC, my roommate and I fostered a dog from the Humane Rescue Alliance and she was recently adopted! We had her for 4-5 months, and she was an absolute joy to have. She was found on the streets of DC, so I had to work with her on some things like walking on a leash and getting her basic commands down. Now that we don’t have her anymore, I would love to take care of others dogs! I work a sales job, so my weeks are pretty flexible. I have fully remote Mondays and Fridays so those are usually the best days for me to help out during the week, as well as the weekends. I live in a townhouse very close to meridian hill park and would love to take a dog on walks/to the park to play or just hangout!

About: I have a few years of pet sitting experience in my hometown, and I am looking forward to continuing to do so now that I am in college! I am currently majoring in biology with a pre-vet track in mind! I have had pets my whole life, ranging from dogs and cats to birds and lizards! I am currently working in pet grooming, so I am safety certified to work with both dogs and cats, and have spent lots of time with many different personalities and temperaments. I also enjoy bringing my cat to volunteer with me at assisted living homes, and I have treated pets with various health issues as well. I am currently a full time college student, however I have varying availability, especially for returning clients! My schedule is much busier right now than it previously has been, so please reach out if you interested and I can see what I am able to work around. Safety is of the utmost importance, therefore I will always check that doors and gates are closed and that leashes and harnesses are securely fastened. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs, and will always communicate effectively with owners when necessary. Furthermore, I have experience providing care for pets with medical conditions, and will be able to provide that service if needed. As mentioned previously, I am also safety certified to work with animals in a professional environment, and I have taken care of a wide range of pets and personalities.
