I have spent more than 25 years providing full-time pet care, and in that time I have had the privilege of working with an incredibly wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to scaly and feathered companions of every personality. My specialty is overnight care, and I travel extensively throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area to provide personalized attention for pets in their homes. I also handle long-distance overnight assignments, traveling as far as Los Angeles, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Baltimore, Miami, and beyond. Caring for pets has become a deeply meaningful part of my life, ensuring that each companion receives the attention, comfort, and love they deserve. I am patient, reliable, and experienced with all temperaments and ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets needing calm, steady care. I enjoy learning each animal’s unique personality and hearing the stories of the bond you have built with them. Being local and connected to the community is also important to me. Over the years, I have built wonderful relationships with both pets and their families, and I take pride in helping each animal feel safe, happy, and loved, whether near or far. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your special companion.

I put pets’ safety, comfort, and trust first. I stick to their routines and favorite routes, stay fully attentive during visits, and make sure they feel happy and secure. Overnights are always in their own home, and I can capture cute, high-quality photos to share special moments when requested.

Once again, a complete and utter stressless vacation with Alex in charge of our senior dog and our place. So many great photos sent and updates given along the way. We couldn't ask for anyone better to trust with our special needs boy and our home! Alex is like family now- he even put up with our construction. 💙
Alex is amazing! We had to leave town at the last moment, and Alex did everything in his power to make this a stress free trip. He met Baloo the day before we left and we knew immediately that Baloo would be in great hands. Alex sent regular updates and pictures and we could see how happy and relaxed Baloo was. Alex stayed at our house and let us know when he was leaving and when he returned, and left it cleaner than it was before he arrived. We look forward to having Alex hang out with Baloo again.
Alex was great with our two dogs, and even though it was his first time with them, everything went very smoothly. We would absolutely rely on him again.
Not a worry in the world with Alex staying with our senior, special needs boy. He is so experienced, loving and attentive - instantly, we knew that we could enjoy our trip and Winston would have the best possible care. Loads of pictures and outstanding communication only reinforced.this. So thankful to have found Alex. He is a gift. .
If you're looking for peace of mind when you are away and can't take your non-human family member, look no further. Alex is really wonderful. He's a smart, caring well informed guy who will "get" the nuances of your baby's needs and behaviors and is truly interested in knowing this and being responsive to them. My 7 year old Lab had never been left with anyone but a family member and Alex was the perfect substitute ! Happy to chat with you as well if you a verbal reference !
Alex is the best! Always on time and our two dogs love their walks with him.

Schedule
Pet care is my full-time focus and how I support myself, and I relish every minute of it. On overnight stays, I spend as much time at the home as the pet desires, keeping vigilant watch and savoring all the little moments. It’s profoundly heartwarming to be around them, and it also gives me the assurance that they are happy and comfortable. Plus, it gives me the perfect opportunity to capture those adorable, unforgettable moments whenever they arise.
