About: I have 14 years of pet care experience with dogs and 3 years with cats! I'm a lifelong animal lover, practicing naming dog breeds from the stroller. I grew up with a yellow lab and recently was roommates with a long-haired cat. I don't have any pets of my own right now, meaning my heart is very open to loving your pets as if they were my own! I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes including labs, goldens, pitties, doodles, and Pyrenees plus both short and long haired cats. I am a hobbyist photographer and can provide you with an included high-quality pet portrait after your booking! Examples listed in my photos. I’m currently a masters student with evening classes. I’m able to care for your pets with walks or check ins until ~5pm most weekdays except Wednesdays. Dogs: I like to keep things within your dog's regular routine. Let me know their usual walking route and their needs. Please let me know their favorite treats, toys, and if there is anything else I should be aware of! I will ensure they are always on leash when outside and have plenty of water inside. Cats: I love playing and/or relaxing with cats! Please let me know their favorite treats and toys! I know cats need playtime just like dogs. Grooming: I am happy to brush your dog or cat if desired and ensure your dog doesn’t track any mud inside after a walk. Litter: If desired, I can clean your cat’s litter box during a home visit!

I live right in a 10-story apartment building in NW DC, so I’m already here and can easily pop down for midday walks, quick drop-ins, or overnight stays without any commute hassle. A typical week for me includes several regular dog walks and cat visits for neighbors in the building. I genuinely enjoy starting my day with a good walk or ending it with some playtime and cuddles. It keeps me active, social, and smiling — plus it gives me that wonderful sense of responsibility I loved from my teaching days. Whether it’s a quick 30-minute walk around the neighborhood, a full night of house sitting, or daily check-ins while you’re traveling, fitting pet care into my schedule is easy and something I truly look forward to. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your needs! I provide all pet care in your home only, so your pets stay in their familiar environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. For dogs, I will only consider bringing them to my house on very rare occasions — and only after I’ve gotten to know the dog well and we both agree it’s the right fit. All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. You can trust that your furry family member will be in safe, loving hands.

About: I am currently a student-athlete at Georgetown University!! I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. This summer, I fostered a dog and regularly attended dog events, which gave me even more hands-on experience with a variety of dogs and their personalities. I am also used to walking around the Georgetown neighborhoods and campus! I also frequently watch my neighbors’ and friends’ dogs and cats. I grew up around cats and have always spent time caring for my grandparents’ and cousins’ dogs. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, keeping pets company, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m very responsible and attentive, and I'll treat your pet like my own! I am very big on communication, so I will make sure you are always kept updated on how your pet is doing! My weekdays are pretty busy with classes and softball commitments at Georgetown, so I’m typically away from about 8 AM–6 PM. However, I’m available every evening to stop by for feeding, walks, playtime, and other care your pet may need. I’m also happy to stay overnight, so if you’re looking for someone to keep your pet company and care for them in the evenings and overnight, I’d be a great fit! My weekends tend to be more flexible as well, and I am more available to be with your pet throughout the day! I’ll always communicate clearly about my schedule so we can make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every pet like my own, follow their routines and your instructions carefully, and make sure they’re always in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know your pet is doing well!!

About: I’ve been in the care of various pets all of my life — from fishes, hermit crabs, and guinea pigs, to now my 10 year old Westie that we’ve cared for from puppy to senior. As such, I’m comfortable with puppy energy, senior care, and everything in between, and will treat all pets with the patience, love, and attention they deserve. I’m a full time student with various availability day-to-day — including a mix of mornings, evenings, and nights — outside of a consistent class schedule. I’ll make sure to adhere to your rules and expectations, including keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible and treating your space with care and respect. I follow all care and house instructions exactly as given and ensure the security of your home, as well as have emergency contact information on hand. About: I always had dogs and taken care of many dogs from family members, friends, etc. It will be a real pleasure to take care of yours. I'm currently a student in business law at George Washington University. However, I don't have many classes and still have time to take care of your baby. Being with dogs is for me a pause in a journey. I live in an apartment in Noma but there is a park for dogs just next to it. As well, if your dog is athletic, I would love to go running or walking with him.

About: My name is Jayne and I am a physician assistant in DC! My family has had an english mastiff and a great dane, so my heart is big enough for all sizes of dogs. I am very responsible and have been dog sitting for as long as I can remember. I am used to dogs from 10 pounds to 170 pounds. I am very active and will be able to take your pet on long walks if needed! I have also house sat for many people throughout the years. I really do love all types of pets and would love to be able to get to know and love your animals! I work Monday through Friday 8a-4p. I am able to care for pets in the morning, stop by in the middle of the day, and after work as much time as needed. I live in an apartment, so am unable to board pets at this time. When caring in your home, I am very respectful of space and know how important it is to keep the space clean and safe for our pets!
