“Chelsea was incredibly attentive to my two cats, one of which is wary of new people and the other that requires medication. She also handled outdoor garden watering like a pro - I came back to a whole plant of ripe tomatoes!”

“Highly recommend Caris if you are looking for a cat sitter. She is super communicative - lets you know when she is arriving, provides great updates, and whenever I reached out responded promptly. Your pet is in great hands when you book with her. Will be using her services for future pet sitting.”

“Jackie took great care of our two kitties! We loved the photos of them rolling for her. We know that they were comfortable with her and we appreciate her great care of them! We will book with her again. ❤️”

About: Looking for folks who can give your dog love and affection? We're excited to welcome them into our home, or pop over to yours, where they can play, relax, and just be a dog in a chill, comfortable environment. We make sure every pup gets outside time throughout the day, whether that's a walk, potty break, or time to play in the yard. We also have our own fluffy pup, so yours will have a companion to play or relax with :) We offer both doggy daycare and drop-in visits, and we tailor each visit or daycare to how you and your dog like to do things - play, lounging, feeding or medication schedules, whatever keeps them happy and healthy. We're lifelong dog people with flexible work-from-home schedules, so we're genuinely present throughout the day, not just popping between meetings. Pet care is a natural and consistent part of our daily routine. Since we have flexible work from home schedules, we have plenty of time to prioritize walks, playtime, and feeding. Our own dog helps keeps us on a regular schedule, so we're already used to planning our days around pet needs. Whether it’s a morning walk, midday play session, or evening wind-down, we work your pets seamlessly into our schedule. With a bit of advance notice, we are able to adjust my schedule to accommodate different routines. Whether we're caring for pets in our home or yours, our top priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We follow your routines as closely as possible, from feeding schedules and walking routes to preferred toys and training cues. We make sure your dog (or cat!) gets plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and downtime as needed. If we’re hosting in our own home, your pet will have a cozy, quiet environment with plenty of room to relax and play, and will be treated just like part of the family, including supervised outdoor time, snuggles on the couch, and lots of love. We try to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you're away. Every pet is unique, and we take the time to get to know their needs and personality so we can provide the best possible care.
“Carol was amazing with my Peanut!! She made her comfortable and engaged with her (although Peanut can be a bit feisty) I’m very particular about who watches her and will absolutely book with Carol next time!”

“Dylan took wonderful care of my dog, Yoda. He was professional, communicative, prompt, and easy to work with! He kept me updated on all his visits and answered all my messages quickly.”

“Nick took great care of my cat Oreo and made sure she got all of the attention she deserves to soothe her anxiety while I was away. Nick is very responsive and communicative. Highly recommend!”

“Always amazing!! Flexible and reliable - the two things your need when you are away and entrusting your baby to someone. Can't recommend her highly enough.”

About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and finally adopted my first two years ago! Well before my partner and I adopted our rescue, I was helping out family and friends as a sitter and walker. Whenever I was at a house with a dog, I always wound up being the designated fetch partner. I’m a dedicated caretaker who loves taking my pup around the block, to the park and on adventures. I raised and trained my dog from a puppy and have experience watching dogs ages 1-18! As a dog parent myself, I know how important communication, transparency and, of course, getting pictures of your pup is when you’re away from them. I’m excited to meet, walk and play with more dogs around the district! I work five days a week (M-F) from home, but my schedule is flexible and allows for me to take breaks as needed to tend to my own dog and pop out to care for others whenever necessary. Afternoons are ideal, but I can be available in evenings, mornings and overnight with advanced notice. My dog roams free at home, but she started out crate trained and graduated from there. I’m comfortable caring for a dog/dogs who roam free or are crated and have no issue retrieving them from there and returning them to their space as needed.
“Anna took the job at the very last minute and saved our Christmas! The cats looked happy in the daily photos she sent and were clearly glad to see her - and she kindly handled their weird needs and anxious behavioral issues. Thank you, Anna!”

“Becky was a big help with my two cats when I was out of town for a couple of days. Great communicator and gave me updates that everything was alright at home. Highly recommend!”
About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, especially cats, so I naturally understand their needs and unique personalities. Even though I’ve never owned a dog of my own, I’ve cared for many dogs through friends and family — from puppies who need full attention to older dogs who need extra patience and care. I also have experience giving pets oral medication, so I’m comfortable following special routines. My goal is to always give each pet the same love, comfort, and attention I’d want for my own! I am currently a full-time student at Howard University so I have class everyday. With any free time I have on my hands not studying or in class, I’d love to help! Im happy to take your pets on walks, give them fresh food and water, and spend quality time with them so they feel cared for while you're away. Im gentle and attentive, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Building trust is very important to me, and treat one like my own! :)
“Alina was great. She was able to watch my cat over a holiday weekend and was extremely communicative and flexible! She sent great pics and my cat loved hanging out with her!”

“We cannot thank Abby enough for such wonderful, sweet, and professional care she gives to our orange boys. From the bottom of our hearts, we really appreciate you and encourage everyone to book this wonderful rover! Thank you for everything Abby! <3”

“Erin was great! We changed our schedule around a little last minute and she was very accommodating. She sent updates and pictures and tuckered out our little pup. We will definitely reach out to Erin again :)”

“Charlie was so awesome taking care of my two cats. Was available for the entire time I needed and incredibly responsive and accountable. I would absolutely recommend!”

“Hig was so great with our kittens!!! She did drop in visits for our 4 month old energetic kittens who need a lot of attention, and she was wonderful with them! She played with them and held them a lot (which they love!), and she spent even more time with them than what we booked! 😊 The kittens looked like they loved her! We were worried to leave our young kittens for the weekend but Hig was so sweet and caring for them. Will definitely book her again!”

“Katie was great! She sent updates during each visit, of which there were many because I have a finicky little cat who needs lots of litterbox upkeep. Normally my cat is anxious and goes on a minor hunger strike when I’m gone, but not this time. She ate well, slept a lot, and seemed quite content upon my return! Katie was professional, attentive, and friendly. Thanks again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Columbia Heights
Landy has been walking our dogs every day for the last weeks and we are so happy. One dog recently had ACL surgery and requires some support on her walk and Landy does a great job managing that situation and providing them with daily love. She sends pictures and is really easy to work with. Best of all, the pups clearly love her.

Phil was probably the best rover I have ever had! He was very communicative and his updates were thorough and fun to read! He also did a great job keeping things tidy which I appreciated. My cat gets anxious when I’m away and she doesn’t get enough attention but I could tell she had been well cared for when I returned. Would be happy to have Phil care for my cat again!

Four cats and they all look healthy and happy. Emma made a point to bond with all of them. She was punctual and did everything asked of her…even getting medication dispensed. We were nervous to leave, but from the first day we were able to enjoy our vacation with Emma in charge of our cats.

Another great experience with Shelby watching my cats! She takes great care of them, plays with them, pets them, and keeps me updated with good communication. You can tell she genuinely cares about interacting with the cats which is such a big piece of feeling good about leaving them in a sitters care.
