About: Having owned a dog and taken care of a variety of pets throughout my life, I have a wide range of experiences. I recently have helped with dogs from the guide dog foundation and am very friendly to almost any animal. I also love being outdoors so walks and activities are very fun for me. I also can channel a lot of energy into most situations. Additionally I am from a resort town so I have worked in many different settings having house sit, babysit, nannied, and pet sit. My own dog is now old and I would love to take this opportunity to interact with other pets as well. I'm also very welcome to animal friendliness and can give them the attention they deserve.

About: I’ve had 3 large dogs since I was young, am experienced with strong/quick running dogs, and love to care for animals! I understand dog body language and dog behavioral principles and am excited to build relationships with clients and their pets. I am a college student! Wednesdays and Weekends work best for me but I am flexible. I do not have a car and would prefer clients who are in walking/bus distance. My campus is spacious with safe neighborhoods surrounding it that are perfect for dog walking! I would love to provide drop-in services to your pooch! About: I'm a reliable and frequent house/plant/cat sitter based in Glover Park with my own car to get from place to place. Can do anything from quick check-ins/feedings to litter box cleanings and cuddles for pets that need extra attention. I have an 11 AM-7 PM full-time job in Shaw, so I typically stop by houses before work, though I can come by after as well. In others' homes, I definitely make a point to be unobtrusive and let pets go about their usual business + get used to me being there before I approach them (unless they're friendly from the jump). I want to be respectful of your home and your pets' space!

About: I am an experienced dog handler with direct training on more than 50 different types of dogs. I own and work my highly-trained 6yr old Belgian Malinois and have trained under three well-known, reputable trainers across Virginia and Colorado. My background combines real-world handling experience with structured training methods, giving me a balanced approach to balanced training, confidence work, obedience, high-drive dogs and puppies. I currently work part-time, which allows for an abundance of time with both client dogs and my own dog. I’m naturally a very active person and being around dogs in any way is just any regular day to me! I’m very flexible: my schedule is dependent on your dog’s needs. Every dog is different—I can follow anything from a structured routine, to a spur-of-the-moment cuddle session on the couch—you as the owner set the rules.

About: I grew up with a loving (and clingly) yellow lab in the house. If you couldn't tell from my photo gallery, he's sort of the center of my universe. Over weekends, while my parents were out of town, I would be in charge of taking care of him: taking him out, feeding him, walking him, putting him to bed, and giving him the attention he deserves. I still watch my dog while my parents are away or if he needs to visit Washington, D.C., and I have pet-sat for friends and colleagues from school. I've accrued six months of experience pet-sitting as an in-house sitter. I love hanging out with animals, so I am excited to befriend your pet! I currently work two part-time jobs with consistent schedules, so I can give a clear picture on when I can be with your pet. I am very communicative on when I have changes in my schedule, and when I am staying with a pet, I make sure to prioritize their needs and spend ample time playing with them, walking them, caring for them, and loving them. I will always coordinate with your schedule before leaving the house for more than five hours straight. I am mindful of both the pets and the home in which I'm staying for the duration of my care. “Marilyn is an excellent cat sitter who goes above and beyond. She paid very close attention to the instructions that were given for my cat. She attended to everything that I asked her to do. She provided me with detailed updates on my cat. Despite my cat being shy, she managed to get pictures of him that I enjoyed seeing. I was most impressed with the efforts she made to connect with my cat who doesn’t typically respond well to strangers and is very skittish. She seemed very invested in making sure that he was doing reasonably well. I got the impression that she cared for my cat in the same loving way that she cares for her own pets. Her willingness to help on short notice was much appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Marilyn and plan to arrange for her to care for my cat in the future.”

About: I grew up with rescue dogs my whole life and adopted a senior chihuahua in 2020 who we lost a few months ago. We aren’t quite ready to adopt again, but are really missing the love of a dog in our lives and would love to shower your baby in love!! We still have dog beds, treats, stairs to get on the bed, etc. that we would love to put to use. I work from home Thursday and Friday so am opening my schedule only those days and weekend to ensure I can give pups the attention and care they deserve. We live in a super walkable neighborhood and I’m happy to walk them every 2-4 hours. We are homebodies and will give lots of snuggles and love. Don’t have other pets or kids. Myself and my wife will be around and both have lots of experience from caring for our dog Toby who recently passed. Dogs are allowed on the couch and bed. We don’t have a yard but our neighborhood is super walkable and we live near a dog park if that is of interest (would never take the dog there unless specifically requested).
