For the last 10 years I’ve taken care of my own dogs, pets of family and friends, and provided pet-sitting services in northern Virginia and DC. I’ve cared for dogs from the tiniest of kittens to the largest of Bernese Mountain Dogs. I often take care of pets on short notice, and will help with an array of services from walks, to vet and grooming visits. One thing you can expect from me is pet care at the same level that I care for my beloved boy. Especially since the pandemic, I have experienced how hard it can be to leave your pet, even for just a few hours. To provide peace of mind and updates, I will match your preferred communication style (I personally like to see video updates when I’m away from my dog). My goal with every visit is to make sure your pet is stimulated, fed, and loved to soften any tensions of missing you.

I usually offer a range of services including house visits, walks, house sitting, pet transportation, etc. However, as of August, I have a new puppy in the home and can only offer boarding for vaccinated, spayed/neutered dogs and cats.

Samantha was wonderful! She took great care of our cats while we were away and took so many photos so that we were rest assured. We could tell they trusted her. She also saved us in multiple situations, from resuscitating our plants to handling a door lock problem while we were away.

Sam did an awesome job of taking care of Teddy for over 2 weeks. Teddy was our new rescue and we were a bit nervous leaving him since he is still a bit skittish. This was also our first time using Sam. But the daily love-fest of photos put us at ease right away. We got to see Teddy was receiving the best of care and loving. When we got home, it was evident that Teddy was the happiest we’ve ever seen him. Thank you Samantha! ❤️

Samantha was a great dog walker while I was away for a work trip. As a fellow frenchie mama, I knew I could trust my boys with her, even with their quirks. She sent pics and hung out with them after the walk. We would highly recommend her!
Samantha was extremely responsive and caring for my cat. I always got great pictures and knew she was in good hands. Plus, when I got home, my apartment was super clean - she even took the trash out on her last day of drop in visits!

Schedule
I have a very flexible schedule for boarding dogs in my home as I’m a student on a hybrid, online/in-person, class schedule. I wake up early to have play time with pets then will usually be away for 4 hours max if I have an in-person class that day (3x a week). I spend the majority of my day at home so I have ample time for attention and playtime throughout the day. Please let me know if you are looking for 24/7 care with no time away from your pet. Some school days may make it infeasible to provide such care.
