About: I’ve been caring for my family’s dogs since I was around 16. When I moved away from home, I started to miss the daily joy of being around dogs, which is what brought me to Rover. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and different temperaments, including rescue dogs. A dog lover since childhood, I would love to support you and your pets’ needs: I will treat them like my own 😊 I’m free weekends and evenings! Starting late August, my schedule will be more flexible as I am starting grad school, so I will have more daytime availability. I’ve watched pets in a variety of home and apartment environments and will adapt to whatever details you provide for me! You can count on me to adapt my care towards each pet’s environment and your needs.

I live right in a 10-story apartment building in NW DC, so I’m already here and can easily pop down for midday walks, quick drop-ins, or overnight stays without any commute hassle. A typical week for me includes several regular dog walks and cat visits for neighbors in the building. I genuinely enjoy starting my day with a good walk or ending it with some playtime and cuddles. It keeps me active, social, and smiling — plus it gives me that wonderful sense of responsibility I loved from my teaching days. Whether it’s a quick 30-minute walk around the neighborhood, a full night of house sitting, or daily check-ins while you’re traveling, fitting pet care into my schedule is easy and something I truly look forward to. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your needs! I provide all pet care in your home only, so your pets stay in their familiar environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. For dogs, I will only consider bringing them to my house on very rare occasions — and only after I’ve gotten to know the dog well and we both agree it’s the right fit. All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. You can trust that your furry family member will be in safe, loving hands.

About: I’ve been dog sitting for over eight years, caring for all kinds of breeds—many from foster or rescue homes. I’m patient, reliable, and love making pets feel safe and happy. I also have about two years of cat sitting experience, and I always treat every pet like my own. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. Before my dog of 16 years passed away, caring for her—walks, treats, snuggles, and later medication and extra attention—was a meaningful part of every day. Because of that, I’ve kept pet care as a regular part of my lifestyle. I’m available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and free on weekends, which makes it easy for me to dedicate time to walking, playing with, and caring for pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. About: When I haven’t had to take care of a dog, I have had a dog. I have owned about 3 dogs for most of my livelihood, for a consistent period of three years in the current decade. I can provide meaningful means of exercise for dogs, extended playtime engaging in positive rewarding behaviors, extended walks, and can positively engage in a consistent predictable feeding for no more than two dogs at a time in my one person household. The thing that sets me apart from most pet sitters is the fact that I will treat your pet exactly how you treat them at home, regardless of whatever way that is. I am currently doing most of my work part time, as it mostly involves banking and finances. I am also currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University through online mediums so I will mostly always be able to meaningfully provide exercise demanding playtime, extended walks, consistent predictable feeding for no more than two dogs at a time. I have plenty of time through my days as my weeks consist of very little social gatherings, and minimal activity, so all the activity goes to the pets in my home. I currently live in a decently sized one bedroom apartment with a fenced backyard, with two dogs on the upper floor, in an extremely dog friendly environment/neighborhood.

I have experience with providing oral medication and senior cats. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of availability to spend time with your pet(s)! I’m available for walking, home visits, and cuddle sessions with your furry bff. I will meet your pets energy and care for them in any way they need!
