“Deniz does mid-day walks for both my young and senior pup several times a week and has been prompt, reliable and very communicative. She always leaves great notes on how the walks went and how my pups are doing.”

About: I’ve been caring for my family’s dogs since I was around 16. When I moved away from home, I started to miss the daily joy of being around dogs, which is what brought me to Rover. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and different temperaments, including rescue dogs. A dog lover since childhood, I would love to support you and your pets’ needs: I will treat them like my own 😊 I’m free weekends and evenings! Starting late August, my schedule will be more flexible as I am starting grad school, so I will have more daytime availability. I’ve watched pets in a variety of home and apartment environments and will adapt to whatever details you provide for me! You can count on me to adapt my care towards each pet’s environment and your needs.
About: I love dogs and cats, and miss my own pets as I’m away from home. So I would love to help take care of your pets when you need an extra hand! My availability is during weekends for drop-ins/walks, but can be flexible for days. I can’t wait to hear more about your pet, just reach out! I work full-time, so I am mostly free on weekends. That can be any time on the weekend, and if needed, can try for weekdays after work. For drop-ins, I will play with your pets and brush them if they enjoy that! And for dogs, would love them to take them for a stroll so we can both get our steps in!
“Julia is excellent. Very communicative, timely, and most of all, gave Camden a great walk and lots of love! We loved getting her feedback on the walk and several pics of Camden.”

About: I'm not just another dog walker or pet sitter — I'm your reliable neighborhood neighbor who’s already the go-to person in my 10-story NW DC apartment building for everything from quick walks to overnight stays (and yes, I handle both dogs and cats with ease!). What really makes me different is my background as a recently retired Special Education teacher. That means I bring serious patience, structure, and a knack for reading behavior to every pet I care for. Whether it’s helping a energetic young pup learn polite leash manners, crate training basics, or simple commands during our walks and playtime — or giving gentle, attentive care to senior dogs and cats who need slower paces, extra cuddles, or help with mobility and medication — I’m genuinely good at meeting each pet exactly where they are. I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’m comfortable with all personalities and ages. I focus on making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away — with consistent routines, plenty of affection, and that extra layer of responsibility that comes from years of working with kids who needed thoughtful, individualized support. In short: You get a sitter who’s dependable, experienced with all life stages of pets, and truly enjoys the work. Your furry (or not-so-furry) family member will get the kind of calm, attentive care that makes coming home even sweeter. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine! Since I’m recently retired, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I live right in a 10-story apartment building in NW DC, so I’m already here and can easily pop down for midday walks, quick drop-ins, or overnight stays without any commute hassle. A typical week for me includes several regular dog walks and cat visits for neighbors in the building. I genuinely enjoy starting my day with a good walk or ending it with some playtime and cuddles. It keeps me active, social, and smiling — plus it gives me that wonderful sense of responsibility I loved from my teaching days. Whether it’s a quick 30-minute walk around the neighborhood, a full night of house sitting, or daily check-ins while you’re traveling, fitting pet care into my schedule is easy and something I truly look forward to. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your needs! I provide all pet care in your home only, so your pets stay in their familiar environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. For dogs, I will only consider bringing them to my house on very rare occasions — and only after I’ve gotten to know the dog well and we both agree it’s the right fit. All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. You can trust that your furry family member will be in safe, loving hands.
“Got to know Juliet this week and learned how enthusiastic and helpful she is. My goldendoodle had no trouble adjusting and off they want to walk and explore. Will keep using Juliet in the future.”

About: I have a pet Russian tortoise who requires special care and delicate handling that's more involved than, say, walking and feeding a dog or taking care of a cat. I have a pretty flexible schedule both this summer and into the fall. Pet care can easily be scheduled around my summer job and college classes. I make sure pets, my own and others that I've been responsible for, get plenty of attention. I don't leave them until all their needs have been met
About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.
About: I’ve been dog sitting for over eight years, caring for all kinds of breeds—many from foster or rescue homes. I’m patient, reliable, and love making pets feel safe and happy. I also have about two years of cat sitting experience, and I always treat every pet like my own. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. Before my dog of 16 years passed away, caring for her—walks, treats, snuggles, and later medication and extra attention—was a meaningful part of every day. Because of that, I’ve kept pet care as a regular part of my lifestyle. I’m available after 5 p.m. on weekdays and free on weekends, which makes it easy for me to dedicate time to walking, playing with, and caring for pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow any specific instructions closely—feeding schedules, walks, medications, and playtime—to ensure pets feel secure in their familiar space. I always take time to build trust, offer attention, and keep things tidy, so owners can come home to happy, relaxed pets and a well-cared-for home.
About: When I haven’t had to take care of a dog, I have had a dog. I have owned about 3 dogs for most of my livelihood, for a consistent period of three years in the current decade. I can provide meaningful means of exercise for dogs, extended playtime engaging in positive rewarding behaviors, extended walks, and can positively engage in a consistent predictable feeding for no more than two dogs at a time in my one person household. The thing that sets me apart from most pet sitters is the fact that I will treat your pet exactly how you treat them at home, regardless of whatever way that is. I am currently doing most of my work part time, as it mostly involves banking and finances. I am also currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University through online mediums so I will mostly always be able to meaningfully provide exercise demanding playtime, extended walks, consistent predictable feeding for no more than two dogs at a time. I have plenty of time through my days as my weeks consist of very little social gatherings, and minimal activity, so all the activity goes to the pets in my home. I currently live in a decently sized one bedroom apartment with a fenced backyard, with two dogs on the upper floor, in an extremely dog friendly environment/neighborhood.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for over 6 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied upon my care and been extremely satisfied. I have experience with providing oral medication and senior cats. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of availability to spend time with your pet(s)! I’m available for walking, home visits, and cuddle sessions with your furry bff. I will meet your pets energy and care for them in any way they need! If you have a detailed schedule I’m more than happy to follow it. Each furry friend is unique and deserves top notch treatment!
“Sarah came by on short notice and was great with Benji, taking lots of pictures and giving him a longer walk than I probably would have. Huge help while we're adjusting to the new city.”

“Chiara was great with my puppy. She responded to a somewhat last minute request and came for a meet and greet, which went quite well. She showed up on time for all of our appointments, and the puppy seemed very satisfied when I saw her next! Would definitely hire her again.”

“This is the first time Megan walked Cinder and I hope it won’t be the last! She took Cinder on a really long walk where she saw deer and had plenty of time to explore. We highly recommend her!”

Cassey is so great! She was able to help with a last minute request to walk my dog Willa, provided great communication, and even agreed to arrive ten minutes early for an introduction. She clearly loves and cares for the pups she walks. It was very clear Willa had a great time with Cassey, and I will 100% be booking with her again.

Kelly is so helpful with our dogs! She is always on time, takes them on terrific walks, and is great at communication. The dogs like her, and they are strong — Kelly does a terrific job handling them both at the same time. That’s over 100lbs of pittie all at once :-) Thanks so much, Kelly!
Julia’s love for dogs is evident the minute I met her which gave me great comfort. She has great energy is pleasant responsible always on time and loves what she does. Being in aspen one has to be careful and aware of the surroundings due to the wildlife and their interest in small dogs. I had no doubt my dog was going to be kept safe. Star ⭐️ loves Julia and loved their time together

Charlie went above and beyond taking care of my dog on 4th of July. They already had a plan in place for safe walking considering the severe heat and left a nature video on for the afternoon to help drown the noise of the flyovers! Would rebook Charlie any day, highly recommend!

Christopher took wonderful care of my dogs while I was away. He asked thoughtful questions upfront so I felt confident they were in good hands, and he sent regular updates that put my mind at ease. When one of my pups got unexpectedly sick, he handled it calmly, cleaned everything thoroughly, and left the space spotless. That kind of care and responsibility means so much. I’ll absolutely be booking with him again!
