About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.
“Michael was fantastic. We had to work through a couple hiccups at the beginning of the week and Michael was super easy going and accommodating. He took Luna for a weeks worth of great walks around the neighborhood while our house was a little short staffed - we will 100% reach out to book him again!”

“Larissa took such great care of our dog. She’s a great communicator and took the time to get to know our boy and his needs. He loved spending time with her. I would highly recommend Larissa to anyone!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, so I know the ins and outs of how to take care of them and make sure they feel loved and cared for. I have recently adopted a cat and she is my pride and joy. I hope to make your animals feel as loved when you’re away as they have made you feel loved when you’re with them. I’m back from college for the summer, so I will be available to take care of your pet whenever you need me. Nothing takes priority over the care of your animal other than sometimes my own. I love playing with animals, I will play with them until they’re too tired to play anymore. For cats, I will change the litter box whenever needed and for dogs, I will take them out at least three times a day. Your pets happiness is the most important thing to me, I want to make sure she/he is taken care of.

“Catherine was great with Luna! To begin with, she was very easy to reach and very communicative. She is very reliable and really took care of Luna and sent me pictures daily! Highly recommend Catherine!”

“Kyra is super friendly and interactive with my pup. I appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet before scheduling a booking (which we’ve booked more since then), and she was very good at asking questions to make sure Cora would be cared for properly as well as communicating effectively regarding her schedule. Kyra is trustworthy, reliable, personable, and wonderful with Cora. So glad I found her!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up with a Rottweiler, so I’m comfortable with larger breeds and have plenty of experience caring for them. Many of my friends have big dogs, and I often enjoy taking them out for walks. During the warmer months, I can even take your pup on a short run to burn off some extra energy! With prior military service, I bring a high level of responsibility, reliability, and dedication to ensuring your dog gets the best care and attention during our time together. I can be free in the evenings starting at 6 pm on weekdays, or Wednesday mornings before 10:30am. My weekends are free and I can easily fit in a walk while you’re out living your best life. I give all animals lots of love, attention, and patience! I communicate well, and would love to share updates on how your dog is enjoying their walk, with a quick pic or two to capture the moment.
“Maddie was incredible with Cherry. They had rapport right away. She was responsible, communicative and walked for an hour in the hot sun and rain to make sure Cherry got her exercise. Highly recommend her to all pet parents!”

“First walk with our boy Ziggy and she was great. On time, took him out to the dog park, he came back tired. All you can ask for! Super nice and asked all the right questions. We felt very comfortable with her.”

“Faustine was quick to respond with our last minute walk request and was easy to communicate with! She clearly has great experience with dogs and it looked like our lil guy had a great time on his walk. Would highly recommend.”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and they’ve always been a huge part of my life! I had two big pups to play with and grow up with and every member of my family had some kind of fur baby, whether it was a tiny little pup, a big fluffy dog or the sweetest cat. Being around so many different pets helped me learn their different personalities and needs from an early age :) When I was about 11, my mom started walking dogs in her free time as part of her wellness journey and I was lucky enough to join her. That’s when I first discovered how much I enjoy dog walking and caring for pets. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, my sister and my two aunts do, ranging from a playful chocolate pitty to an adorable teacup poodle, so I’m still surrounded by pups regularly. At home, I have three cats that I absolutely adore!! They truly mean the world to me and are a big part of who I am. Caring for animals isn’t just something I’ve done, it’s something I genuinely love & enjoy. I can’t wait to meet and care for even more amazing fur babies! 🐾 I am a full time student at Montgomery College as a psychology & surgical tech major! I’m at the silver spring campus and live near by and have a decent amount of time through my weekdays! My kitty babies roam freely as they are all pretty mature! I try to play and entertain for 30 mins a day but sometimes it’s 15 a day, I feed them twice a day wet food only!
“Daria is so calm, so at ease with my quirky and stubborn old pup. I felt very confident leaving Poppy in her hands. Daria is also very communicative and was flexible with a last minute change in our arrangement. I really appreciate her excellent care.”

About: I have a lifelong love of animals and use Rover to care for my own cat and dog while I'm away. Over the past two years, I've worked part-time for pet sitting companies and cared for dozens of dogs, cats, and exotic animals. As a picky owner myself, I understand your need to give your pet the best attention while you're away and I'll work to keep them company (and send enough photos and updates to give you peace of mind). We will exercise during walks, enjoy some recreational fun with your pets favorite toys, and give those warm belly rubs that every dog loves. During cat visits, we play with your pets favorite toy and get in quality cuddle time so they aren't lonely while you're away.I am able to administer medication along with an array of other additional services. Before any requested service, please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting and caring your precious pet. I work full-time from home so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pet. Happy to answer any questions you have about your pet and its care. I care for pets in my clients homes, whether they need medication or have other special needs I'm here to make your pet comfortable. Before a sitting I'll talk with each client about their pets and its needs. I typically do morning and evening visits. I don't do visits in the middle of weekdays since I work full-time, but happy to be flexible when possible. I care for your pets as if they were mine. I have experience giving many types of medications to cats - insulin shots, B12 shots, steroid creams, pills, etc.
“Gabriela took our dog Arlo on a great long walk on fairly short notice, and I would absolutely love to have her walk Arlo again. Thank you so much, Gabriela!”

About: I have been dog-sitting and cat-sitting for my friends and co-workers for a long time and I can always help in difficult hours or last minute. At this moment I have a remote part-time job so I’m very flexible on schedule! Seven days a week from early morning to late evening. I live in a secured and safe apartment complex with a lot of green areas and generally a very safe neighborhood to walk around. I have a cat.
About: My wife and I are like total animal lovers and have been around cats and dogs our whole lives. We can't get enough of those furry, four-legged friends! Honestly, we just really miss hanging out with pets. We're pretty chill and down-to-earth, and we'll make sure your pet has a blast while they're with us. Whether it's playing with dogs or cuddling with cats, we know how to keep 'em happy. We are both working from home and we do not leave pets at home alone. We go for walks everyday, but our walks are always better when we have a furry four-legged friend as companion. No worries about safety with us! Our apartment is totally pet-friendly and safe for all kinds of pets. It's a cozy spot where they can run, jump, and play. If you decide to leave your pet at our house, you can be sure that your pet will be only with us (we only take one pet at the time), unless you have more than one pet and decide to leave them with us at the same time. We understand that a change of environment can be disruptive for pets and we want them to feel at home and safe at all times. We strongly encourage owners to bring their pet’s favorite toy and bed.

Charlie went above and beyond taking care of my dog on 4th of July. They already had a plan in place for safe walking considering the severe heat and left a nature video on for the afternoon to help drown the noise of the flyovers! Would rebook Charlie any day, highly recommend!

Christopher took wonderful care of my dogs while I was away. He asked thoughtful questions upfront so I felt confident they were in good hands, and he sent regular updates that put my mind at ease. When one of my pups got unexpectedly sick, he handled it calmly, cleaned everything thoroughly, and left the space spotless. That kind of care and responsibility means so much. I’ll absolutely be booking with him again!

It’s only been three weeks but oh my lord my little boy is head over heels for “Havi” At about 7:15 am he jumps out of his doggie bed and stretches preparing for her arrival. It’s so dog gone adorable. And the moment she comes through the door he dashes to meet her. I recommend Havi without reservation.

Julia has been fantastic with my dog Tucson. From the start Tucson connected with Julia and has very quickly grown to trust to her (which is not the case with everyone). I have also appreciated Julia's excellent communications and reliability. I can recommend Julia without hesitation.
Michael was fantastic. We had to work through a couple hiccups at the beginning of the week and Michael was super easy going and accommodating. He took Luna for a weeks worth of great walks around the neighborhood while our house was a little short staffed - we will 100% reach out to book him again!

Leah walks our guy Otis a few times a week and has been nothing short of wonderful. She takes care of Otis like he is her own dog. She did us a huge solid and agreed to start walking him only a few days after we had adopted him and didn’t know much about him. She communicates reliably and consistently; she always gives advance notice if she can’t make a walk. And, she is very mindful of Otis’ needs and adjusts accordingly, asking questions and giving updates as needed. The one time I happened to be home when she came to get Otis for his afternoon walk, he ran to the door and never looked back. He LOVES Leah. At the risk of losing our cherished dog walker because she gets booked up after this review, we would give 10 stars if we could because Leah very much deserves her flowers!
