About: I have a dog and a cat and have had 5 cats in total. I’ve trained my dog a lot of his tricks and behaviors like heeling, sit, stay, all of that. I’m intuitive and understand pet behavior, knowing when they are triggered versus happy. I’m an aware pet walker, conscious of surroundings and other pets. I love to play with animals and love all animals. I am patient and would love to meet your animals!! I’m currently a university student with extra time so looking to fill it with activities I love! That would include any time spent with any animals. I’m available on most weekends and have free periods throughout each weekday! I won’t be looking to board but to do check ins and take care of animals when you want some time for them to go on walks, be fed, played with, or just checked on!

About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.

Honestly, we just really miss hanging out with pets. We're pretty chill and down-to-earth, and we'll make sure your pet has a blast while they're with us. We go for walks everyday, but our walks are always better when we have a furry four-legged friend as companion. No worries about safety with us! Our apartment is totally pet-friendly and safe for all kinds of pets. It's a cozy spot where they can run, jump, and play. If you decide to leave your pet at our house, you can be sure that your pet will be only with us (we only take one pet at the time), unless you have more than one pet and decide to leave them with us at the same time. We understand that a change of environment can be disruptive for pets and we want them to feel at home and safe at all times. We strongly encourage owners to bring their pet’s favorite toy and bed.

Over the past two years, I've worked part-time for pet sitting companies and cared for dozens of dogs, cats, and exotic animals. I don't do visits in the middle of weekdays since I work full-time, but happy to be flexible when possible. I care for your pets as if they were mine. I have experience giving many types of medications to cats - insulin shots, B12 shots, steroid creams, pills, etc.
