About: I’ve grown up with pit bulls since a very young age. Thus, not only am I a dog lover, but I am very familiar with dog care. I frequently take my dog on walks, bathe him, play with him, and feed him, making sure he gets the medications he needs. I know what it takes to make sure a dog is happy and has everything they need. I will be working part time over the summer with flexibility working remotely. I will be available to provide anything from walks & short visits to longer stays! I will clearly follow all rules and safety instructions you give me to respect your space and keep your furry friends safe. Just let me know!
“Danielle was fantastic with our very energetic and playful young dog! She took care of him, our house and our two parakeets for a week, and we came back to happy pets. Danielle is trustworthy, kind and wonderful at communicating. We loved that she sent us photos of our dog throughout the week. Thank you, Danielle!”

“We met Nicole for the first time. She's a wonderful young woman, full of positive energy and joy. Our dog Sasha immediately liked and trusted her. It's clear that Nicole has a huge heart for animals. We offered Nicole a full-year schedule right away. ~ Tom”

“Alexa was great!!! She was so thorough with the care. She left detailed reports on how each visit was and brought me a lot of comfort and peace while I was away. Book her!”

“Maddie was incredible with Cherry. They had rapport right away. She was responsible, communicative and walked for an hour in the hot sun and rain to make sure Cherry got her exercise. Highly recommend her to all pet parents!”

“Sarah came by on short notice and was great with Benji, taking lots of pictures and giving him a longer walk than I probably would have. Huge help while we're adjusting to the new city.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.
“Abby is terrific! She has helped me with dog walking following a surgery and I couldn’t be more pleased. Most importantly, my dog loves her and is always happy when she’s back from their walks. Abby is extremely reliable, straightforward with communicating, and a lovely person! I would highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for high quality and trustworthy pet care.”

“Aminah has been walking my first dog for almost 2 years. She’s my go-to walker and home drop in when I’m working late nights at the restaurant. Love having her available to walk my boo boos!”
“Emma is a great dog walker. Her open availability helped me find a last minute sitter for my dog. She took him for a nice long walk and he was so happy with her!”

About: My family has had both dogs and cats for my entire life. I grew up taking care of animals, but in more recent years I’ve dedicated my time to animal care. I’ve always had a deep compassion for animals and I love spending time with them. I go on a lot of long walks in my spare time- as I love to be out doors, so there will be not shortage of walks around here. I’ve been around all different kinds of dogs. I know how to handle both anxious and reactive dogs- I’m comfortable with any breed or size. I do have an affinity for cats. My family always had cats, and since I’ve lived on my own I’ve always had two of my own. Because of this, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when it comes to cats! I currently only work part time. I’m in the hospitality industry and I work nights, so if I am unavailable it is typically from the hours of 6pm-11pm. If you’re interested in overnight stays, I can normally adjust my hospitality schedule a little bit depending on your comfortability. Feel free to reach out and ask, as I do love a sleepover and am willing to make it work! My two favorite hobbies and reading and being outside. I’m happy to go on long walks with your dog. I’m also happy to spend time inside making sure your animals have company and companionship. I don’t have an aversion to litter boxes so I’m happy to scoop the cat litter once a day. I scoop my own cats litter every single day so it’s nothing new to me. Im happy to help get energy out, and also spend time relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. I always want to prioritize trust and patience when it comes to your furry companions!
About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.
“Julie took time to get to know Olga before her walk, putting her at ease. She also looked out for her knack for sniffing out trouble on the walk, and paid attention to her rhythm and cues. I'm very glad Julie can help out caring for Olga!”

“Tara did a wonderful job walking our 2 senior dogs who both need a lot of TLC… one of our pups is blind and the other has severe arthritis. I will definitely use Tara again!”
Au-Tenleytown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Natasha is an absolute lifesaver! I reached out last minute after an unexpected work event came up, and she responded almost immediately — no hesitation, just a quick "I've got you." That kind of responsiveness means everything when you're scrambling. But what really stood out was how she treated Boey. She didn't just walk him and call it a day — she spent extra time playing with him and genuinely getting to know him. You could tell it wasn't just a job for her. She's compassionate in a way that's hard to find, and Boey was in great hands the whole time. Highly recommend Natasha — especially if you ever need someone you can count on in a pinch. Will 100% hire again!

Justin was wonderful! He sent check-in each time he walked and fed our dog Juni, and he clearly enjoyed spending time with her. We were happy to know he’s walked a few of our neighbors’ dogs too, so he was very comfortable with the neighborhood. I will definitely be hiring him again!

Daria is a wonderful walker. Whatever the weather brings, rain, shine, or heat, she shows up with energy and genuine love for our Rosie. Her narratives about the walks anre excellent and very entertaining. I have great confidence in Daria and recommend her highly.
