“Julia is excellent. Very communicative, timely, and most of all, gave Camden a great walk and lots of love! We loved getting her feedback on the walk and several pics of Camden.”

“David does an amazing job! He is detailed, timely, considerate, and communicative. He has walked our dogs several times and is one of the best we’ve found on Rover. Can’t give more than five stars, but would if we could!”

“Julie was absolutely incredible with my puppy. She was attentive, sent lots of pictures, and let me know if there was anything wrong at all times. Will definitely use her again!!”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats in my neighborhood since I was 15 and building lasting relationships with families who return to my services frequently. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including multiple pets simultaneously. My neighbors trust me not just as a sitter, but as someone who loves and cares about their household. I am currently working part time and have availability every morning (until 3pm), while late afternoon / evening depends on the day. Mondays I am free all day! When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their environment exactly as they're used to, meaning same routine, same spaces, and same sense of security. I follow any instructions you leave carefully, whether that's feeding schedules, areas to avoid, or specific habits your pet has. For cat visits, I take my time rather than rushing in and out, giving shy cats space to come to me and making sure I'm attentive to social ones. For dogs, I make sure they're exercised, stimulated, and comfortable, and I always leave the home the way I found it. I've been doing this long enough to know that the small details matter, whether it be a favorite toy, a usual nap spot, a specific treat. My own 13 year old mini labradoodle, Hazel, is quite particular and has given me plenty of training in that area. Families in my neighborhood have trusted me with their homes and their animals for years, and I take that seriously every single visit.
“Carolina has been great. She came out to meet our dog, Max, and was not at all put off by his size (95 pounds) or energy (overly enthusiastic), which can be intimidating. She keeps us posted on all of his walks, and (most importantly) Max seems very happy with the arrangement.”

About: Your dog deserves a lot of attention, so I only take care of one dog friend at a time. We have been living in Georgetown for a decade and don’t plan to move anytime soon, and I’d love to build a long-term friendship with your dog. I will treat your dog like the loved pet he or she is! I have flexible part-time working hours. Taking a break to get your dog some exercise and take a lovely walk together will be the highlight of my day. We take care of only one dog at a time, so they get lots of care and attention. My goal is for your dog to always be happy and comfortable in my care.
About: I am a student who is very dedicated to everything I do. I have walked dogs for clients in Long Island for the past two summers, and have loved it! I love to be active and go on walks every day in Georgetown, so having a dog to do it with while I’m in D.C. at college would be amazing! Please note that my rates account for the fact that Rover takes 20% of all my earnings! I am a student with availability the following times: Mondays and Wednesdays after 3:15pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays before 12:30pm and after 6:30pm, and generally free at any time Friday-Sunday! I am a dog walker only for other clients’, but I make sure to keep a tight but gentle leash on my own dog and client’s dogs so that they can enjoy their walk while keeping safe in the busy Georgetown neighbor. I also like to let them explore grassy areas, which are a nice break from the concrete!
“Katherine was extraordinarily communicative, professional, and flexible even on short notice. I had so much peace of mind knowing that she was taking care of my pup while I was at work.”

About: I've had a dog my whole life and love taking care of pets. I've been known to walk my neighbors dogs and water their plants when they need the help. I recently ran a half marathon so I would happily take your pet for long walks and even a run. I'm very responsible and nurturing, so I would love to channel that energy into your pet instead of my roommates for a bit. Let me help you give your pet the exciting life they deserve. I'm a full time college student, with a good amount of free time during the summer time, so I would be able to care for your pet whenever it's needed. I plan on taking pets out in the cooler parts of the day, and if the weather is too hot, I feel comfortable entertaining a pet inside, so they can get some of their wiggles out. I have administered medication to dogs several times and feel very comfortable taking care of dogs of all ages.

About: I have had 10+ years taking care of both dogs and cats! Growing up, my parents adopted both puppies and senior dogs with various health conditions. I have experience taking care of dogs with conditions ranging from blindness, to pancreatitis, to a heart tumor. In addition, I helped my family take care of a senior cat from age 13-18. Since he lost the ability to groom himself, I have plenty of experience brushing/declumping cat hair. My partner and I adopted a kitten in November, 2025 who is now 1 year old! I am a 4th grade teacher so am very free during the summer months (all day)! I have availability on all weekdays and weekends. During the school year, I have availability on weekends and weekdays after 4 pm. I care for pets as if they are one of my own. I will follow any routines/procedures pets are accustomed to and take good care of them.
“Victoria was great with our pup Linus, who is still very much a puppy, despite coming up on 2 years old in a few months! She was super friendly and we’re so glad we found her (and Linus clearly loves her!) and we’ll definitely be reaching out again!”

“Elliott was reliable and communicative. He spent a good amount of time with the dogs and handed them well (one is large and rambunctious). Would recommend!”

“This is the first time Megan walked Cinder and I hope it won’t be the last! She took Cinder on a really long walk where she saw deer and had plenty of time to explore. We highly recommend her!”
“Ashton was incredible with our senior dog! Ashton was kind and gentle with her, ensuring she got good exercise even when she was a bit stubborn. Ashton even went above and beyond, coming to our house to help even after a big snowstorm. We’ll definitely have her help out again!”

“Sarah came by on short notice and was great with Benji, taking lots of pictures and giving him a longer walk than I probably would have. Huge help while we're adjusting to the new city.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I needed an urgent dog walker for the next day, and Osmany responded immediately and stepped up to help. He walked my dogs the very next day and was incredibly caring and patient with them. You can tell he truly loves and understands dogs. He was also very flexible with scheduling, which made everything so much easier for me. I’m very grateful for his help and would definitely recommend Osmany to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog walker. Thank you, Osmany!”

Georgetown dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kyle was fantastic! We did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and Macho instantly took to him, which gave me a lot of confidence. Kyle is friendly, professional, and communicative, keeping me updated and making the whole experience stress-free. Most importantly, Macho absolutely loves his walks with Kyle and is always excited to see him. I highly recommend Kyle and would book with him again without hesitation. Five stars!

Bruno and Victoria have walked and dog sat for my dog on multiple occasions and have also done some cat check ins. It is apparent that they are animal lovers and treat others' pets as their own. My dog is always ecstatic to run into them in the neighborhood so I know they take great care of her and give her lots of love while I am away. They have always been very communicative and reliable and are willing to work with my dog as she has some reactive behaviors on leash. I would definitely recommend booking Bruno to care for your pets!

We were devastated to lose our Walker due to relocation last month. BUT Havi came into our lives two weeks ago and Frankie is in love. He waits patiently by the door starting at 7:15 and like an alarm clock she arrives promptly at 7:30. She is pleasant has an excellent temperament and we are looking forward to a long Rover relationship. Thank you Lord for answering this dog mom’s prayers.

Judy was wonderful with our pup! She stepped in on short notice and was incredibly flexible and reliable. We especially appreciated how she adapted to our dog’s unique temperament and needs, making her feel comfortable and cared for while we were away. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch our girl again. Highly recommend!
