About: I’ve been around dogs since the womb. I have had big (100 lb+) dogs my entire life and am the primary trainer and walker of my families current dog. I am a biology student home for the summer and would love to hang out with your dog! I am available at basically any time/ day of the week when I am in DC. If you need your dog walked IM THERE. As a college student home for the summer I will take every and all odd-job :) I care a lot about keeping dogs engaged, whether it be through walking, running, playing fetch, or just spending time with them. I also know what it’s like to have reactive pets and to interact with reactive pets— I know how to avoid un-ideal pet interactions. I have a small fenced yard at home and a sweet 8 year-old dog who loves other dogs and people.

She pulls on the leash, is reactive to dogs, and tries to eat everything she sees, and none of that was too much for Nick. We’re really happy to have him walking her and are excited for future overnight stays too!”

About: Hello! I am appreciative of all fuzzy friends, big and small. I have two cats of my own, with loads of dog care experience. I have lots of experience with young puppies, senior pets who need medication (oral pills or otherwise), fickle kitties, and shy pets. I’ve trained three cats from kittens, and can provide care for those still learning litter box manners. I work a traditional 9-5, and wfh 3 days a week. Depending on the day, I can offer a lunch break check in, meal time pop ins, and lots of weekend love! As a visitor of your home, I am open to whatever method you employ for your friend’s safety. I have experience with crate training and am happy to continue your training practices. In my own home, I keep my cats safe by keeping out a toxic plants/food items and practicing general cat safety (no breakables near the shelf edges ifkyk).

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.

About: From very sickly puppies to senior cats, I have taken care of many family pets and was entrusted by friends with overnight sittings and visits while they were away. Looking forward to meeting your beloved pets. Please note that if you’d like an in person meet up, I humbly ask that you book a paid 30 mins visit. Otherwise, I am happy to use the Rover feature to video call and get to know you and your little ones! I work mostly from home so there's a lot of time flexibility for caring for pets. Not available on Thursdays since it is my office day. I won't be onboarding pets at this time, since I am fostering a cat for someone in my family. When caring for a pet in someone else's home, I always keep safe and sanitary conditions as the basis for pet+owner well-being. I always have a conversation about daily habits and protocols for cleaning accidents among other details when meeting up with an owner and their pet.

About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and finally adopted my first two years ago! Well before my partner and I adopted our rescue, I was helping out family and friends as a sitter and walker. Whenever I was at a house with a dog, I always wound up being the designated fetch partner. I’m a dedicated caretaker who loves taking my pup around the block, to the park and on adventures. I raised and trained my dog from a puppy and have experience watching dogs ages 1-18! As a dog parent myself, I know how important communication, transparency and, of course, getting pictures of your pup is when you’re away from them. I’m excited to meet, walk and play with more dogs around the district! I work five days a week (M-F) from home, but my schedule is flexible and allows for me to take breaks as needed to tend to my own dog and pop out to care for others whenever necessary. Afternoons are ideal, but I can be available in evenings, mornings and overnight with advanced notice. My dog roams free at home, but she started out crate trained and graduated from there. I’m comfortable caring for a dog/dogs who roam free or are crated and have no issue retrieving them from there and returning them to their space as needed.

About: I’ve grown up with cats/dogs my entire life and am a huge animal person. I’ve watched friends and family’s animals off and on throughout the years and make sure I spend as much time with them as possible during visits and follow any given instructions. I have two cats of my own, Evan (8) and Cuphead (9), and expect great cat sitting from those who watch them when I’m gone. Therefore, I would give nothing less to animals I sit for as well! I have a full-time job so I’m available on the week-days before 9AM and after 5:30PM. Weekends I’m available at any time you may need. I’ll always make sure to follow all instructions you give- both of my cats are on specific diets so I’m very conscious of animals’ needs. I also am happy to spend as much time with your animal as you’d like in order to keep them company and keep them happy. I have experience giving pills as well. Also happy to clean litter boxes and make sure there’s always fresh water for cats.

About: I've had a dog my whole life and love taking care of pets. I've been known to walk my neighbors dogs and water their plants when they need the help. I recently ran a half marathon so I would happily take your pet for long walks and even a run. I'm very responsible and nurturing, so I would love to channel that energy into your pet instead of my roommates for a bit. Let me help you give your pet the exciting life they deserve. I'm a full time college student, with a good amount of free time during the summer time, so I would be able to care for your pet whenever it's needed. I plan on taking pets out in the cooler parts of the day, and if the weather is too hot, I feel comfortable entertaining a pet inside, so they can get some of their wiggles out. I have administered medication to dogs several times and feel very comfortable taking care of dogs of all ages.
