“Kyra is super friendly and interactive with my pup. I appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet before scheduling a booking (which we’ve booked more since then), and she was very good at asking questions to make sure Cora would be cared for properly as well as communicating effectively regarding her schedule. Kyra is trustworthy, reliable, personable, and wonderful with Cora. So glad I found her!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, and my family has always owned extra-large breeds — including our current gentle giant, who weighs 130 lbs! Because of that, I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I understand that every pet has different needs, whether they’re playful and energetic or shy and routine-oriented. I am a recent law school graduate and I'll be taking time off this summer to study for the bar exam, which gives me a very flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, and sitting services. I can easily fit my study schedule around your pet’s needs to make sure they get reliable, attentive care and lots of love while you’re away. I care for pets by being attentive to their individual needs and personalities. I love engaging with animals — whether that means giving them lots of affection and attention, going on walks, playing, or simply making sure they get fresh air and stimulation throughout the day. At the same time, I understand that every pet is different. Some are highly social, while others are more independent and prefer their own space. I always strive to respect each pet’s comfort level and routine while making sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy in my presence.

“Catherine was great with Luna! To begin with, she was very easy to reach and very communicative. She is very reliable and really took care of Luna and sent me pictures daily! Highly recommend Catherine!”

“Got to know Juliet this week and learned how enthusiastic and helpful she is. My goldendoodle had no trouble adjusting and off they want to walk and explore. Will keep using Juliet in the future.”

“Faustine was quick to respond with our last minute walk request and was easy to communicate with! She clearly has great experience with dogs and it looked like our lil guy had a great time on his walk. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.
“Chiara was great with my puppy. She responded to a somewhat last minute request and came for a meet and greet, which went quite well. She showed up on time for all of our appointments, and the puppy seemed very satisfied when I saw her next! Would definitely hire her again.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.
“Jon was great!! We booked a walk very last minute and he was able to accommodate us, was quick to respond to messages, showed up on time and seemed great with our dog. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and they’ve always been a huge part of my life! I had two big pups to play with and grow up with and every member of my family had some kind of fur baby, whether it was a tiny little pup, a big fluffy dog or the sweetest cat. Being around so many different pets helped me learn their different personalities and needs from an early age :) When I was about 11, my mom started walking dogs in her free time as part of her wellness journey and I was lucky enough to join her. That’s when I first discovered how much I enjoy dog walking and caring for pets. While I don’t currently have a dog of my own, my sister and my two aunts do, ranging from a playful chocolate pitty to an adorable teacup poodle, so I’m still surrounded by pups regularly. At home, I have three cats that I absolutely adore!! They truly mean the world to me and are a big part of who I am. Caring for animals isn’t just something I’ve done, it’s something I genuinely love & enjoy. I can’t wait to meet and care for even more amazing fur babies! 🐾 I am a full time student at Montgomery College as a psychology & surgical tech major! I’m at the silver spring campus and live near by and have a decent amount of time through my weekdays! My kitty babies roam freely as they are all pretty mature! I try to play and entertain for 30 mins a day but sometimes it’s 15 a day, I feed them twice a day wet food only!
About: I have had family dogs and cats for most of my life. I thoroughly enjoy going on walks with dogs as well as playing with them at home. I have tons of experience watching cats, as I have watched more than 5 cats at once (my parents are true cat people). I would love nothing more than to walk, play and feed your dog(s)/cat(s)! I am capable of caring for more than one pet at a time. I will be respectful of your space and will leave it the way I found it. I dream of the day I will be able to have my own dog or cat, so please let me care for yours in the meantime! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I work full time from home, which provides me the flexibility to check in on your pets during the week days, and during business hours. I can take care of your pets to your preferences. I will play with them, give them as much attention as they need, and feed them to your schedule.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, so I know the ins and outs of how to take care of them and make sure they feel loved and cared for. I have recently adopted a cat and she is my pride and joy. I hope to make your animals feel as loved when you’re away as they have made you feel loved when you’re with them. I’m back from college for the summer, so I will be available to take care of your pet whenever you need me. Nothing takes priority over the care of your animal other than sometimes my own. I love playing with animals, I will play with them until they’re too tired to play anymore. For cats, I will change the litter box whenever needed and for dogs, I will take them out at least three times a day. Your pets happiness is the most important thing to me, I want to make sure she/he is taken care of.
“Nick has been so polite, prompt, and communicative in setting up and executing recurring walks for our girl Georgia. She pulls on the leash, is reactive to dogs, and tries to eat everything she sees, and none of that was too much for Nick. We’re really happy to have him walking her and are excited for future overnight stays too!”

“Dan was patient and gentle with my dog as he learned and adjusted to having a new walker. He was prompt and on time for every appointment and communicative about his schedule. Will definitely hire him again!”

Leah walks our guy Otis a few times a week and has been nothing short of wonderful. She takes care of Otis like he is her own dog. She did us a huge solid and agreed to start walking him only a few days after we had adopted him and didn’t know much about him. She communicates reliably and consistently; she always gives advance notice if she can’t make a walk. And, she is very mindful of Otis’ needs and adjusts accordingly, asking questions and giving updates as needed. The one time I happened to be home when she came to get Otis for his afternoon walk, he ran to the door and never looked back. He LOVES Leah. At the risk of losing our cherished dog walker because she gets booked up after this review, we would give 10 stars if we could because Leah very much deserves her flowers!

Meg is the best dog walker I’ve ever had. She provides excellent care, truly loves animals, is very professional, and writes very detailed notes. She anticipates my dogs needs and is always prepared to go above and beyond- like putting her cooling vest on, bringing her water bottle, and rewarding good behavior on walks. I am so sad to no longer have Meg as a walker as I am moving, she will be missed!!!
