About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.

About: I have a dog and a cat and have had 5 cats in total. I’ve trained my dog a lot of his tricks and behaviors like heeling, sit, stay, all of that. I’m intuitive and understand pet behavior, knowing when they are triggered versus happy. I’m an aware pet walker, conscious of surroundings and other pets. I love to play with animals and love all animals. I am patient and would love to meet your animals!! I’m currently a university student with extra time so looking to fill it with activities I love! That would include any time spent with any animals. I’m available on most weekends and have free periods throughout each weekday! I won’t be looking to board but to do check ins and take care of animals when you want some time for them to go on walks, be fed, played with, or just checked on!

About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up with a Rottweiler, so I’m comfortable with larger breeds and have plenty of experience caring for them. Many of my friends have big dogs, and I often enjoy taking them out for walks. During the warmer months, I can even take your pup on a short run to burn off some extra energy! With prior military service, I bring a high level of responsibility, reliability, and dedication to ensuring your dog gets the best care and attention during our time together. I can be free in the evenings starting at 6 pm on weekdays, or Wednesday mornings before 10:30am. My weekends are free and I can easily fit in a walk while you’re out living your best life. I give all animals lots of love, attention, and patience! I communicate well, and would love to share updates on how your dog is enjoying their walk, with a quick pic or two to capture the moment.

About: I’ve grown up with rescue dogs my entire life. They’ve taught me how to be patient and understanding when it comes to dogs being in new surroundings with new people. Dogs have trauma, reactions, and behaviors similar to humans, but just expressed differently. My own dog is reactive (leash/towards other dogs), so I have learned techniques to lessen her fears. She— along with other dogs that have been around me— have made me an adaptable dog person who will help your dog feel comfortable and supported while you’re not around. Hi, I’m Barbie! I’ve grown up with 45-65lb rescue dogs my entire life. While I have a soft spot for bigger dogs and bully breeds (the more misunderstood in media, the more I love them), I adore animals of absolutely every shape, size, and species, and have experience with dogs of all ages/sizes (limited experience with seniors, but would love opportunities to increase my professional experience). My greatest (and favorite) teacher is my own Malinois/Lab mix rescue, Padfoot—an intelligent, high-energy, and dog/leash-reactive fur baby. Because of her, I am fully equipped, patient, and hyper-vigilant when handling dog/leash-reactive/energetic dogs. Whether your dog pulls, barks, or just needs extra personal space (and positive reinforcement)) on a walk, I know how to keep both of us safe and stress-free. I promise to treat your dog(s) with the same passion, love, advocacy, and care, that I give Paggy. If you want a highly reliable and sitter who understands canine body language and deeply respects your dog's unique quirks, let's connect! In the effort to be fully transparent, I’m currently searching for a full-time job. However, I’m here to build genuine, lasting relationships! I fully intend to continue any walking/day-sitting needed on a part-time basis. I can stay at your home for 2-3 hours at a time (multiple times during the day) and walk your dogs one at a time. While I am SO excited for the opportunity to walk 100lb+ dogs, I can only safely walk gentle giants that do not pull. If you have a yard, I will supplement any high-energy dog with enrichment activities and plenty of fetch. I cannot dog sit overnight since I have my own fur baby.
