“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”
“Brianne watched our dog for six days. She was very communicative and her dogs played well with our dog. Laika enjoyed playing with her daughters and the her dogs. She came back home very happy. We would want to board Laika again with Brianne if she is available.”

“Evan and his wife stepped in at the very last minute to take care of Kobi for the weekend - and not only did they agree, but they were so enthusiastic it felt like I was doing them a favor and not the other way around! Communication was great with check ins during the day and drop off/pick up went smoothly. So grateful to have found them!”

“Our experience with Erin was wonderful. She really knows how to care for your dog like her own and I could tell my dog Luna had a great time staying with her. She was very communicative and gave updates/pictures through Luna’s stay. Def would go with Erin again!”

“Andy takes great care of our Westie. He’s always happy to stay there, and Andy sends photos of them going on walks and playing and just having a good time. We’ve left him with Andy multiple times and are always comfortable and happy with his care!”

“Shaela took incredible care of my dog Harvey while I was out of the country! She was extremely attentive and responsive, sending me pictures and keeping me updated. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Mike is an excellent choice to care for your dog. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and makes sure pups get plenty of walks and attention. He’s also a great option if your dog enjoys companionship—he sometimes hosts a few dogs at a time, which creates a fun, social environment. Another big plus: he’s located near a wooded area that’s perfect for safe, enriching adventures and outdoor exploration. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable, caring dog sitter. Highly recommend!”

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Edward and Natalia. We had a meet and greet a week prior where they asked a lot of questions and observed Ralphie with their sweet pup, Liz Lemon. I always worry leaving Ralphie with a new Rover. He has been described as “extra” and needs a lot of attention/human presence. Within an hour of dropping him off, I got a note that he is settling in fine with a picture of him cozied up with the family and this eased my mind immensely. They were very responsive when I reached out and had everything ready to go when I picked him up. The biggest testament, however, is Ralphie’s behavior on the drive home. If let’s me know if he didn’t like his stay somewhere, but leaving Natalia and Edward he was calm and well behaved. They deserve this 5-star review and j would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.”

“Chad is absolutely fantastic! He looked after Havana for a whole 6 days and even sent me daily pictures. I will definitely be bringing Havana back to him.”

“Colleen and her family took wonderful care of my dog. She is a very trustworthy and conscientious dog mom. I appreciate that her home has a fenced yard. She also was able to administer daily high drops to my senior dog. I received updates and photos. Thank you Colleen and family!”

“Christine was very kind and Jolene seemed happy to be there! Her kids are very kind and clearly know how to interact with dogs, even more anxious ones. I would definitely board Jolene with Christine again in the future.”

“Johanna was such a wonderful sitter for our dog Rylo. He can be a little nervous in new environments, but we felt like we were in expert hands with Johanna. She shared regular updates and photos and was so great to work with. Rylo already can’t wait to play with her again soon!”

“Anne Marie took such great care of Danny, she was patient and kind to him as a senior dog and just loved on him! I will definitely be asking Anne Marie to care for him again when I need it.”
“Our dog Hugo has stayed at Haydenn’s apartment a few times and loves it there. He has separation anxiety but always seems happy to hang out with Haydenn, which is a great sign to us! I really liked that before our first booking, Haydenn requested a meet and greet to make sure he was only accepting well-behaved dogs. While we were gone, we got regular updates about Hugo and he came back happy and healthy. :) Haydenn was also very flexible with drop off and pick up. Our flight was delayed coming home and he was very accommodating. We will definitely continue using Haydenn in the future!”

“Austin and Majid have watched my dog 3 times and been soooo wonderful. They are loving and considerate of her, and they kept me updated! My dog has some anxiety and behavior challenges, and they were very understanding and patient. Highly recommend!”

“Alejandro took such great care of our old girl. We knew it was a perfect match the moment we walked in for the meet and greet. Our dog was so excited to meet Alejandro and his partner and got to exploring and cuddling immediately. She had no qualms about being dropped off for her staycation (it seemed like she couldn’t wait for us to leave). When we picked her up, it was clear that she missed her time with Alejandro.”

“My baby Campion stayed for almost two weeks while we were on our trip in Europe. We were a little bit nervous because he is ver attached to us but thankfully Colleen and Sean took great care of him. They send us picture which made us so happy. Would definitely recommend them and choose them again!”

“Christian was so great with Itty! She sent me pictures everyday of them out on walks and Itty curled up in the house. I would definitely recommend booking with her!”

“Lia’s communication is always on point! Charlie and I recently moved to DC and looking for a new sitter. Lia was honestly the best sitter for Charlie! She went above and beyond for Charlie even accommodated to his spoiled picky eating behavior 😂. Honestly I want to gate keep Lia but I think everyone deserves to have a sitter like her.”

“My cat Oakley loved his visits from Luisa! She gave him so much attention including playtime and brushing him. Luisa was super communicative, sent great photos and thorough updates, and was also proactive in looking out for the safety of my apartment and my cat. I would gladly ask her to look after him again.”

About: Growing up, I have had one cat, I named Halo. His mother, who was hit by a car, was saved by my aunt and later discovered to be pregnant. One of the kittens happened to be my wonky tail friend, Halo!

“Sun did a wonderful job with our diabetic kitty. She handled the insulin injections without a hitch, and our boy was his happy, cuddly self when we returned after a week of vacation. Sun gave us great confidence and always kept us in the loop. We'll be happy to have Sun take care of our furry family member in the future.”

“Brittani was excellent! Our condo was being renovated and she had to work under trying conditions. She obviously made our cat feel comfortable and at ease as soon as she walked through the door. I would definitely ask her back!”

“Daria helped us watch our shy ten year old cat, Roux, on short notice. She made time to come over and meet her first and get to know the lay of our house. She took the time to get Roux, who usually hides, to come out during visits and sent us such thoughtful and wonderful updates. We couldn’t more grateful. Wonderful sitter!”

“Rachel was perfect; she took excellent care of our kitty and provided great updates that gave us peace of mind and let us enjoy our trip. We'd definitely book with her again!”

“Victoria unfortunately had to deal with my kitty passing away while I was away. She acted quickly and took him to the vet where he could be held until I returned the next day. I am grateful for her help and resolve to do the right thing.”

About: I’ve lived with pets my entire life and they are so dear to me. My family has had multiple cats at all times and a dog and caring for them has always been a joy. This has included several very senior cats over the years (16+ years old!). I am experienced in tending to cat litter boxes, food, water, and play time. I also have experience giving medication orally and topically for cats. I am also experienced in walking dogs and providing food, water, and oral medications. I am a pretty active person, so if your dog needs longer walks I can easily accommodate them! I am a student working on my own schedule, so I am flexible with my availability. Mornings are especially good for pet sitting - I love starting the day with pets. As a cat mom I always want pictures, so I will keep you updated through photos and text. I am also happy to address any incidental messes in the house while I’m looking after your pet.

About: Unfortunately I am very allergic to long hair domestics so no overnight stays, but I have helped take care of several cats for short visits; plus, a kitty of my own. I especially have experience working with newly adjusting cats or recent surgery cats.
“Sydney was great watching our cats while we were away! She was reliable and good at communicating, plus she took lots of cute photos! We’ll definitely use her again next time we go out of town.”

“Summar is the cat whisperer! She knew just how to manage my shy, sweet cat who can easily get frightened. I never worry about my pet when Summar is there. She’s truly the best!!”

“Jesica was fantastic caring for our two young cats. One is very shy but approached her on the first meeting. She is easy to work. We loved the pictures and will definitely book her again for our next trip!”

“Johanna was great with my two cats! It was my first time leaving them since they were adopted, so I was very nervous, but she provided lots of updates on how they were behaving. She even got some very cute pictures of my wiggly void cat who never sits still, and his shyer brother.”

“Shanilka was super responsive and understanding of my dog's needs!! She was very kind and prompt with pick up and drop off so I didn't have to wait long in the cold. Highly recommend!!”

“Grette was super with our little pup for Doggy Day Care -- she knows just what your pup needs and she took our very active 6 month old pup for a long walk so he was really chill when he came home.”

About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was a child. I’ve owned an Airedale terrier, a pug, a Russian terrier, and my family currently has a Japanese spitz. I’ve got all sorts of experience - I have adopted a doggie from a shelter before, and I’ve also raised my two pups from 3 months old until they passed a few months ago at ages 14 and 16. I’ve boarded dogs - I looked after a friend’s pug for a week, a family friend’s elderly golden retriever, and fostered a stray my sister and I rescued before someone adopted her. I’ve taken road trips with multiple pets, and flown across the country with 3 of my dogs, I’ve taken them to all sorts of vet appointments, and been with them through all stages of their lives. I’m on this platform looking for company to heal from losing my furry friends, because being around dogs brings me peace and joy. I am a performing artist and I travel a lot for concerts, so having my own pet is unfortunately not feasible at the moment, hence I decided that taking care of someone else’s furry babies while I’m home between performances is the second best thing:) You can rest assured that I’ll take great pleasure in taking care of them and having them in my home. I work from home during the day and I am home from evening until morning, too. I do however step out for errands and appointments. Your dog will be with me most of the time while staying in my home, walked 2-3 times and fed on schedule, but should be comfortable being on its own for 2-3 hours max, if I have things to do. If your doggie has severe separation anxiety and is unable to be alone at all, I can accommodate that with enough notice and for 2x my normal nightly rate. I’ve always let my dogs run free around the house and make a safe space for them where they liked, but I did crate my rescue doggie when he first arrived to slowly acclimate him to the new place. Whatever you prefer for your dog is fine by me and I’m happy to accommodate. I don’t have a yard, but I have plenty of green areas nearby where I’d walk your furry pal. I keep my dogs on leash at all times. I like training them and playing with them to give them some mental stimulation, but if they prefer to chill and not be bothered I’m cool with that as well
About: I am experienced in taking care of dogs including those with high needs that require medications and puppies as young as 3 months. I have had wonderful experience with walking, boarding and overnight stays over weekends. I am very engaging when I care for dogs, always making sure they get plenty of play and exercise if they are physically able, and I enjoy incorporating some basic training as a part of that play. I am sensitive to different needs of each dog and I socially accommodate for each of their needs. I am a very patient and warm caretaker. I build my schedule around my responsibilities and planned pet care but I typically wake up around 7am and go to sleep around midnight. I am used to frequent outings for dogs because I raised mine from when he was very young and he needed to go out about every hour. I have learned to be very patient and read signs of discomfort and needs in order to keep all animals safe, happy, healthy, and comfortable. I have close access to a secluded dog park and beautiful green spaces in a very walkable neighborhood. If I am watching a dog in a new area, I always look for similar spaces where dogs can safely engage with their environment. Within the home, I like to combine toys and training to get the most out of my time there. I am very affectionate towards cats and will help them get their daily activity in. I know some cats are nervous and need their space, and I can always accommodate for their individual needs.
About: I have loved animals all my life and grew up surrounded by cats, so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I have a calm and positive energy that helps me connect with animals, and I enjoy playing with them as much as keeping them safe and comfortable. I’m patient, caring, and responsible, always paying attention to each pet’s unique needs. In my free time, I enjoy reading, which also means I’m happy to spend quiet moments with pets who like calm company. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to manage my time easily and dedicate attention to pet care. This way, I can adapt my routine around the pets’ needs, whether it’s playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company. I have experience caring for dogs in the home of friends and family, and I naturally connect with animals. I pay close attention to their needs, whether they want affection, playtime, or simply some space to relax. I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable, keeping their routines consistent and giving them plenty of love and care.
“Caleb was absolutely fantastic with my pup Avi, who, at 15, is very sweet but can be a bit stubborn. But he took to Caleb immediately, following behind him with his tail a-wagging! In addition to being so great with my dog, Caleb was incredibly responsive, polite, and had great energy.”

“Juliet is the best doggie sitter! My pup loves her place so much. She is kind and attentive and professional and sends great pics and updates. Highly recommend.”

“Michael was fantastic taking care of my dog for a flay. He was communicative, professional and you could feel his love of animals. I have already booked again with Michael and we are looking forward to it!”

“Brianne and her husband took great care of Birdie! We dropped her off for daycare on Saturday. They were extremely responsive and ensured a smooth transition for both drop off and pick up. Birdie came home happy and exhausted! They definitely made sure she was exercised and cared for.”

“A+ thank you so much! My dog had a great time and Lee was awesome! She sent me a picture of my girl as well as fed and walked her. She was also super accommodating when my plans got delayed and I had to arrive late. Thanks again!!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. “Joey did a fantastic job to take great care of my 7-year-old labrador who had a bit of separation anxiety. I am so grateful with Joey to accept the last minute request after a brief meet up. I would love to use his services again and highly recommend him. Thanks again Joey for your flexibility and patience with Meimei!”

“Michael was fantastic. We had to work through a couple hiccups at the beginning of the week and Michael was super easy going and accommodating. He took Luna for a weeks worth of great walks around the neighborhood while our house was a little short staffed - we will 100% reach out to book him again!”

About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.

“Catherine was great with Luna! To begin with, she was very easy to reach and very communicative. She is very reliable and really took care of Luna and sent me pictures daily! Highly recommend Catherine!”

Many of my friends have big dogs, and I often enjoy taking them out for walks. During the warmer months, I can even take your pup on a short run to burn off some extra energy! With prior military service, I bring a high level of responsibility, reliability, and dedication to ensuring your dog gets the best care and attention during our time together. I can be free in the evenings starting at 6 pm on weekdays, or Wednesday mornings before 10:30am. My weekends are free and I can easily fit in a walk while you’re out living your best life. “Elliot just started walking Buddy and I can’t say enough nice things. Elliot is very responsible, shares information about their time together and Buddy liked Elliot from the jump!”

About: Growing up with three dogs, I have learned not only that different dogs have their own lifestyle and personality, but also different feeding habits and behaviors. My clef pallet pup, Daisy, has taught me that patience can lead to happiness and learning with all kinds of dogs. As a recent high school graduate, I am available all summer to care for your furry friends. As I prepare for college, I am building my savings to have a successful first year! Growing up, I have had dogs of different sizes, from teacup size to 50+ pounds. Not only do I have experience with tricky behavioral dogs, but also pups with disabilities, such as clef pallets.
“Larissa has been great so far with our puppy Moose. She has also been able to adapt very well to our changing schedule without ever having an issue. We appreciate how much she cares for Moose and look forward to continuing utilizing her services!”

“Daria is so calm, so at ease with my quirky and stubborn old pup. I felt very confident leaving Poppy in her hands. Daria is also very communicative and was flexible with a last minute change in our arrangement. I really appreciate her excellent care.”

“Kyra is super friendly and interactive with my pup. I appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet before scheduling a booking (which we’ve booked more since then), and she was very good at asking questions to make sure Cora would be cared for properly as well as communicating effectively regarding her schedule. Kyra is trustworthy, reliable, personable, and wonderful with Cora. So glad I found her!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, so I know the ins and outs of how to take care of them and make sure they feel loved and cared for. I have recently adopted a cat and she is my pride and joy. I hope to make your animals feel as loved when you’re away as they have made you feel loved when you’re with them. I’m back from college for the summer, so I will be available to take care of your pet whenever you need me. Nothing takes priority over the care of your animal other than sometimes my own. I love playing with animals, I will play with them until they’re too tired to play anymore. For cats, I will change the litter box whenever needed and for dogs, I will take them out at least three times a day. Your pets happiness is the most important thing to me, I want to make sure she/he is taken care of.
“Got to know Juliet this week and learned how enthusiastic and helpful she is. My goldendoodle had no trouble adjusting and off they want to walk and explore. Will keep using Juliet in the future.”

“Meg is the best dog walker I’ve ever had. She provides excellent care, truly loves animals, is very professional, and writes very detailed notes. She anticipates my dogs needs and is always prepared to go above and beyond- like putting her cooling vest on, bringing her water bottle, and rewarding good behavior on walks. I am so sad to no longer have Meg as a walker as I am moving, she will be missed!!!”

About: Hi everyone, My name is Rachel and I am a huge animal lover who is passionate about providing the best care and companionship for our furry friends. I have been pet sitting for close to 7 years now, through Wag and also with Rover. Experience in administering medicine for both cats and dogs and currently in process to be First Aid certified for pets as well! (As of July 2025) I grew up with animals, as I had taken care of my own dog-Misia, a coackapoo, for 10 years and my mother with her Havanese dog, Tomo, of 4 years (and on-going!) I lead an active lifestyle and take dogs out for a long walk or find fun ways to play with cats too. I want to make sure I can provide a tailored approach to make sure your pets' needs are met as a photo enthusiast, happy to take pictures and provide an update throughout a boarding and/or a sitting especially. Coming up close to 7 years of being a pet sitter for Wag, Rover and individual clients, I would be honored to be your reliable pet sitter! Currently my schedule is very open and flexible. I can accommodate a boarding at my apartment, as well as pet sitting/drop-in visits, as well for all days of the week. *Note for Boarding requests* I have another 4-year old Havanese dog (very friendly) at my apartment. Happy to have another dog for boarding but please read this note before booking a boarding request!** Thank you 😊 First and foremost what's important is that I understand the client's needs and their instructions on how to take care of their pets. Once you book my service, I would be more than happy to do an in-person meet and greet or a video call. If there are any further instructions (beyond what is listed on the Rover app), then I am happy to provide my personal email address if you would like to e-mail the instructions. These are the steps I take to ensure I can take care of the clients' pets in a safe and trusting environment.
“Juliana was absolutely wonderful! We hired her to walk our dog (Merlin) while we were visiting family in Chevy Chase for the holidays, and we could not imagine a better experience! She was attentive and caring with our 2 year old (high energy) pup, and she communicated very well with us about scheduling and about how Merlin did on his walks. Juliana was also incredibly helpful to us, as she was willing to make adjustments to fit our evolving vacation plans. We consider ourselves lucky to have discovered Juliana, and we will definitely look her up again the next time we come to town for a visit 😁”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”

“Johanna was such a wonderful sitter for our dog Rylo. He can be a little nervous in new environments, but we felt like we were in expert hands with Johanna. She shared regular updates and photos and was so great to work with. Rylo already can’t wait to play with her again soon!”

“Faustine took such wonderful care of our pup! She provided frequent adorable updates and I could tell her was so at ease in her home. Would absolutely book with her again.”

“Katherin was AMAZING with Wrigley, so thoughtful and attentive. We received very thorough updates and she was quick so ask any questions she had. We had a bit of a snafu with her food and Katherin went above and beyond to make sure she had the right stuff to get through her stay. She was also very flexible with pick up and drop off which made everything with Wrigley’s stay super easy! Will definitely be re-booking for any future Wrigley needs!”

“McKinley was the best sitter we could’ve had! She was able to accommodate to a last minute request. She sent frequent updates and my pup felt so comfortable in her house with her other pets. 10/10 best sitter in the area!”

“It was like Brax was with family while I was gone. Lots of communication with text and videos. 100% recommend and looking forward to future bookings.”
“Amazing care. She sent pictures of my dog everyday. She even let me extend last minute which was appreciated. He had an amazing time with her and I will be rebooking with her. Thank you again.”

“Lucy had a great stay with Sam and Tracy! They spoiled her with Rock Creek Park walks and lots of love. I would definitely recommend these two and hope they'll have us again soon.”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”
