Pet care experience

Patience, Play, Premium Attention

I help your dog keep their routine so you come home to the same happy dog you left, just a little more tired. I’ve been around animals my whole life. My first pets were two cats, Atlas and Tiger Lily, and now I live with my dog Beba, a fox-colored rescue who is smart, opinionated, and very sure of what she wants. Living with her has taught me a lot about balancing structure, play, and calm so that a high-energy dog can actually relax. I have hands-on experience with senior dogs, allergy and skin issues, anxious dogs, and dogs who are very attached to their people. I’m comfortable sticking to detailed routines, handling meds or special care instructions, and adjusting to whatever your dog’s personality needs. That might be slow, sniffy walks and quiet company, or it might be ten minutes of zoomies followed by couch cuddles. When I take care of someone else’s pets, I treat it like a mix of teacher, host, and bodyguard. Your pets should feel safe, seen, and entertained. You should feel informed and reassured. I send clear updates, photos, and notes so you’re never wondering how things are going. Bottom line: while you are away, my job is simple. Keep your animals happy, keep your home respected, and keep your stress level as close to zero as possible.

Safety, trust & environment

When I’m caring for a dog, whether in your home or on walks my approach is simple: keep your pet safe, comfortable, and relaxed, while respecting your space completely. In your home: • I treat your home the way I’d want someone to treat mine: I don’t touch anything I don’t need to, and I don’t move things around. • I follow all instructions you give me: feeding, walks, routines, boundaries, and quirks. • I stay aware of doors, gates, windows, and anything your dog might get into so they stay safe. • My focus stays on your pet, not your belongings. With your dog: • I match their energy: calm with nervous dogs, playful with high-energy pups, gentle with seniors. • I keep consistent with their routine so nothing feels unfamiliar or stressful. • I make sure they feel seen, safe, and engaged the entire time I’m with them. • Walks are structured but relaxed, always leashed, always paying attention to surroundings. Overall: I aim to be the kind of sitter who blends in seamlessly: not a disruption, not rigid, just someone your dog is comfortable with and you can trust to follow your rules exactly.

Mars was good with Joon Bug and came to meet her ahead of time, which I really appreciated.

Mars was a great cat sitter for our cat Maple. We were gone for a week and Maple needs more than drop in visitor. He was attentive to her habits and adjusted his schedule based on it. He also went above and beyond to clean some couch covers as well. Daily updates and photos as well. Definitely would recommend Mars!

Mars was wonderful, yet again, with the dog sitting. He left our dogs well cared for and our unit in the same condition as when we left. We would gladly book him again.

This was our second time booking with Mars, and once again he exceeded our expectations. Our dog ran eagerly to his door, which spoke volumes. Mars is calm, confident, and very experienced with dogs of different sizes and personalities. The photos and updates were reassuring, and we felt completely comfortable the entire time.

This was our first time leaving our dog with a new sitter, and Mars immediately put us at ease. He asked thoughtful questions, paid attention to details, and made sure our dog felt comfortable and secure. The regular updates and photos were reassuring, and we could tell our dog was having a great time. We will absolutely be returning.

Mars did a fantastic job taking care of Mugsy. He was communicative, reliable, and very attentive to our dog’s needs. We appreciated how proactive he was about checking in and making sure everything was going smoothly. It was clear that Mugsy was comfortable and well cared for. We would not hesitate to book with Mars again.

I’m currently between long-term projects after graduating, and I work remotely on my laptop most days. That means I’m very flexible and can shape my day around your dog’s needs. Whether you need early-morning walks, midday drop-ins, or last-minute help, I’m usually available and happy to make it work.

Tell me everything you think “might not matter.” I want to know routines, feeding, medications, quirks, reactivity, separation anxiety, off-limits behaviors, and any house rules. If your dog has triggers, allergies, or special needs, I would rather over-prepare than guess. The more I know, the smoother and safer things are for everyone.
