“Courtney takes lots of sweet pictures of her walks with Carmela and makes sure she gets her exercise. I’m really grateful for her flexibility with my crazy schedule. She’s lovely”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life! I’m currently not in a spot in life to take care of my own pets, but miss being around animals. I’m a recent Georgetown Graduate looking for ways to keep busy while looking for full-time employment. Looking forward to meeting your pet! I’m currently looking for a full time job and just doing this as something to do in the meantime. I can’t have pets in the apartment I live in, but can definitely travel to take care of them where they live! When walking animals I will obviously always have them on a leash. When inside the house I will always be cautious of any doors opening to ensure that they will not run away. Will always keep an eye on them while I am around them!
About: Hi! My name is Riley, and I would love to help care for your dog. I have two goldendoodles of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone who is trustworthy, patient, and loving with your pets. I have experience walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for dogs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just some extra attention, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you provide. I can’t wait to meet your pup! I am currently a graduate student at George Washington University. I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I am available for dog walks most other days and times. I’m happy to be flexible and work with your dog’s routine whenever possible! I care for my own two goldendoodles at home, so I have daily experience with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, and giving dogs lots of love and attention. I also understand how important it is to keep dogs on their usual routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. When caring for a client’s pup, I will always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including walk preferences, feeding schedules, leash rules, and any special care needs. I’ll treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I give my own pups.
“Jacqueline was great! Timely and prompt communication, and our dog was super excited to see her. She handled our dog’s puppy energy really well, and I’d highly recommend her in the future.”

“Cooper was so excited to see Gracie for their morning walk! This was the first time she had walked him but he recognized her from our meet and greet. He had fun on their walk with his ball and she sent tons of pictures. Thanks so much!”
About: Hello! I am appreciative of all fuzzy friends, big and small. I have two cats of my own, with loads of dog care experience. I have lots of experience with young puppies, senior pets who need medication (oral pills or otherwise), fickle kitties, and shy pets. I’ve trained three cats from kittens, and can provide care for those still learning litter box manners. I work a traditional 9-5, and wfh 3 days a week. Depending on the day, I can offer a lunch break check in, meal time pop ins, and lots of weekend love! As a visitor of your home, I am open to whatever method you employ for your friend’s safety. I have experience with crate training and am happy to continue your training practices. In my own home, I keep my cats safe by keeping out a toxic plants/food items and practicing general cat safety (no breakables near the shelf edges ifkyk).
“Excellent experience! Julia did a great job walking our dog and was always communicative and responsive. We would feel very comfortable booking her again.”

About: I have taken care of pets since childhood, starting when I helped my parents look after our Cairn Terrier. My two current dogs (Dachshund and Lab) have given me experience with different life stages from puppy to adulthood. They have different personalities and are different sizes which I think makes me feel comfortable with all size dogs. Our lab has a lot of allergies so we have to be very careful about her food allergies and give her medicine to control her itchiness. Having two dogs means when I have a pet sitter I know how important it is to communicate details about walking/food/interactions with other dogs/habits and more. I would love to take care of your dog and treat them as if they are part of our family as well. I will be on sabbatical starting in August, which allows me to maintain a consistent daily routine dedicated to walking, caring for, and playing with dogs. I am fully available on both weekdays and weekends start in August, with the exception of 1 week planned vacations in August and November. Based on my experience with my dog, my neighbors dogs, and my friends dogs I can provide walks, baths, food, playtime, dog park time, and so forth. I have had my co-workers dog stay with us as well. It is important to me that they eat their food, have expected pees/poops, and feel comfortable in a new environment. If there is anything odd or unexpected I will message right away to confirm if its normal. I love taking pictures and sending them. Anything that could be improved with their care please let me know!
About: My past work as a veterinary technician has provided me with years of experience caring for diverse breeds, specializing in coordinating complex feeding schedules and managing senior pets with health needs. I prioritize a safe and calm environment for every animal. I have been retired for two years, which makes me available all hours of the day. I am flexible with providing care on weekends as well as weekdays. If it is your wish that I do so, I am available to stay with your pet in your home if needed. Your pet will receive the same care I would provide to my own
About: I love dogs and cats, and miss my own pets as I’m away from home. So I would love to help take care of your pets when you need an extra hand! My availability is during weekends for drop-ins/walks, but can be flexible for days. I can’t wait to hear more about your pet, just reach out! I work full-time, so I am mostly free on weekends. That can be any time on the weekend, and if needed, can try for weekdays after work. For drop-ins, I will play with your pets and brush them if they enjoy that! And for dogs, would love them to take them for a stroll so we can both get our steps in!

“Molly was great! She was very responsive and responsible. Worked super well with my very stubborn dog. She was very communicative. I would definitely ask her to walk my dog again!”

“Katherine was extraordinarily communicative, professional, and flexible even on short notice. I had so much peace of mind knowing that she was taking care of my pup while I was at work.”

About: Hi, I'm Cymia! I’m a college sophomore and student-athlete free for the rest of July and first week of august to care for your pet! I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, and I started pet sitting back in middle school. When I’m not training, I love being out in nature, listening to music, and hanging out with animals. Because of my athletic background, I have plenty of energy for long, active walks, but I'm just as happy cozying up with a cat. I’m reliable, active, and available for flexible summer scheduling. I can't wait to treat your furry family members like my own I have plenty of time to care for your pets! As my schedule has no current commitments to anything else I am looking to get to know some new furry friends For my own pets, I keep a solid routine with regular meals, plenty of exercise, and a safe environment. I make sure nothing that can be chocked on or dangerous for your pet
“Emily is great. She is kind and patient. I had forgotten to leave out poop bags one day, and she picked it up using paper towels - legit!!!! Thank you for your wonderful service, Emily!!!”

About: I've lived and worked in DC for six years, and getting to know the neighborhood dogs is by far one of my favorite things about the city. I took care of my family's dogs for many years (currently a high-energy Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix), and I've helped care for the dogs my relatives foster, so I feel comfortable working with pets of all shapes and sizes. I also have experience caring for senior dogs, managing reactive dogs, and walking multiple dogs at once. I currently work from home in the Dupont Circle area and have a flexible schedule for daytime walks or drop-in visits. I'm a runner and would be happy to go out for a jog if your pup needs to burn off some steam. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or a stroll in Rock Creek Park, I'm ready to give your dogs the love and care they deserve! I currently work from home in the Dupont Circle area and have a flexible schedule for daytime walks or drop-in visits. I'm also available most weekends and am happy to do drop-ins for multiple days if you're out of town. I pay close attention to the instructions my clients leave for me to ensure I am providing the highest quality of care. Whether it's feeding your pup on time, cleaning up a knocked-over water bowl, or planning a walk route that avoids lots of people, I will make sure to accommodate your dog's needs.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kalorama
Max has been wonderful since our meet and greet. Having 2 very different dogs with anxiety with one and the other loves everyone. They get very excited when meeting new people and Max was very understanding. He ask questions would never have thought. I will be using him whenever I need a dogsitter. I highly recommend Max.

Ican't say enough good things about karima! She is incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and always go above and beyond to make sure my dog, Bruno is well-exercised and happy. I especially love the daily updates and photos they send during the walk, which gives me so much peace of mind while I'm at work."

Nikki was wonderful walking my girl Blue! She is clearly a long time dog lover and was super adaptable to accommodate any quirks. Sometimes my dog can be picky with new walkers and be unmotivated to go out with them. Not the case with Nikki - she and Blue got their steps and had a great time! It’s evident that she will treat your pet with as much as love she would her own. From a logistics perspective, Nikki is professional, communicative, and so easy to work with. If you need a dog walker / pet caregiver in the area look no further!
