Whether it’s helping a energetic young pup learn polite leash manners, crate training basics, or simple commands during our walks and playtime — or giving gentle, attentive care to senior dogs and cats who need slower paces, extra cuddles, or help with mobility and medication — I’m genuinely good at meeting each pet exactly where they are. I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’m comfortable with all personalities and ages. I focus on making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away — with consistent routines, plenty of affection, and that extra layer of responsibility that comes from years of working with kids who needed thoughtful, individualized support. Since I’m recently retired, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I live right in a 10-story apartment building in NW DC, so I’m already here and can easily pop down for midday walks, quick drop-ins, or overnight stays without any commute hassle. A typical week for me includes several regular dog walks and cat visits for neighbors in the building. I genuinely enjoy starting my day with a good walk or ending it with some playtime and cuddles. It keeps me active, social, and smiling — plus it gives me that wonderful sense of responsibility I loved from my teaching days. Whether it’s a quick 30-minute walk around the neighborhood, a full night of house sitting, or daily check-ins while you’re traveling, fitting pet care into my schedule is easy and something I truly look forward to. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your needs! I provide all pet care in your home only, so your pets stay in their familiar environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. For dogs, I will only consider bringing them to my house on very rare occasions — and only after I’ve gotten to know the dog well and we both agree it’s the right fit. All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. You can trust that your furry family member will be in safe, loving hands.

About: I grew up with rescue mutts and herding breed dogs that need lots of exercise, mental stimulation, and training so I am familiar with high energy breeds. I also have experience with smaller companion animals, and cats. I love dogs of all sizes and breeds, and have cared for dogs at all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. I'm available mornings and afternoons to spend time with your pets. I'm between jobs at the moment, so my schedule is very flexible and I'm eager to fill that with time with your pup! I love to take long walks, and enjoy parks and trails if your dog likes to go on short hikes. I have a fenced in front and back/side yard with grass, and enough room to throw a ball if they come over for a play date.

About: I grew up with dogs, but my current building does not allow pets so I miss them dearly (our newest puppy is home with my parents). I’ve had plenty of experience with rescues so can confidently deal with more difficult personalities:) I have always lived with medium-big dogs, but I’ve been a sitter for small dogs as well. Overall, I am just looking to pour my love onto the pups of Georgetown! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so can fit in a couple walks during the work day Monday-Friday. Slight preference for morning walks. I love to walk and be active, and have a lot of patience with training dogs as I’ve adopted multiple rescues in the past. I’m excited to get to meet the dogs of the neighborhood and get some movement together! I’m also happy to dog sit at the owners home, and am very punctual and responsible with feeding times.

Crated at night, allowed on the bed, or kept off furniture, I’ll follow your preferences.

About: I’m a caring person that loves playing and give love to the pets in general. Also I’m a clean person that always keep organized the areas that the pet were using. My schedule is Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm And weekends I have basically free all day to pet sit in general. I’m very flexible person. I usually follow the instructions that the parent pet gave to me prior to the care.I treat them kindly and with the respect animals also deserves.

I have experience with dog walking, and cat and dog sitting I can do most days of the week, I am usually free all week unless something comes up! I am very flexible so it shouldn’t be a problem. I care for pets by playing with them, feeding them the right amount, bringing them for walks (if possible), and other possible entertainment for them ! I will make sure they are safe and well entertained as well as cared for.

About: I love dogs and cats, and miss my own pets as I’m away from home. So I would love to help take care of your pets when you need an extra hand! My availability is during weekends for drop-ins/walks, but can be flexible for days. I can’t wait to hear more about your pet, just reach out! I work full-time, so I am mostly free on weekends. That can be any time on the weekend, and if needed, can try for weekdays after work. For drop-ins, I will play with your pets and brush them if they enjoy that! About: I have my own chihuahua puppy, and I spend most of my time with her! I enjoy being around dogs and have had experience with both my own dog and family/friends! Pet care fits into my daily routine because I am used to having to care for pets every day. This includes walking feeding and bathing them, all of which I have experience doing.
