About: As my headline says, I had six cats at once growing up, so I understand that patience and respecting a cat’s boundaries are essential. I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities, from borderline feral to practically dog-like. I know that not every cat wants to be approached or handled right away. I’m happy to let them come to me on their own terms, while still making sure they get the attention and care they need. I’m comfortable administering medication, grooming, cleaning litter boxes, and handling the less glamorous parts of cat care—including disposing of the occasional “gift” they leave behind. About: I've had dogs since I was about 14 years of age, from tiny terriers to large labradors. I've also been surrounded by some of the loveliest (and skittish!) cats, learning to love them like my own. I work only weekend nights, which is when my partner is available. Even then, I'm never more than a few minutes walk away from home in case of an emergency. Taking care of your fur baby is always top priority! I'm always home, and would never abandon a pet. I take my current dog everywhere I possibly can, and in the rare chance I have to leave, my dog is crated or isolated in a different room. We also have access to an enclosed patio.

“Shanilka was an absolute lifesaver! This was my first time ever leaving Toby with a sitter, and she made the whole process completely stress-free. Right before I dropped him off, Toby got into a chicken bone (of course), but Shanilka wasn't fazed. She was calm and happy to keep an extra eye on him, which was such a relief. She sent plenty of photos and videos while I was away so I always knew how he was doing. It was so clear Toby got tons of love and had a wonderful time. I’ll definitely be booking with Shanilka again. I can't recommend her enough!”
“Mike is an excellent choice to care for your dog. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and makes sure pups get plenty of walks and attention. He’s also a great option if your dog enjoys companionship—he sometimes hosts a few dogs at a time, which creates a fun, social environment. Another big plus: he’s located near a wooded area that’s perfect for safe, enriching adventures and outdoor exploration. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable, caring dog sitter. Highly recommend!”
