“Mallory and Max were so wonderful with our pup, Nora! They took care of her for 2 and half weeks while we were out of town. Nora got along so well with their dog, Argos, and she came back so happy!”

“Andy was incredible: very communicative with pictures every day and our puppy came back happy, tired, and with some new training. Thanks Andy, would definitely recommend.”

“Laurie and Rich were so kind and caring for our little Frodo. From their photos, he was clearly comfortable in their home and yard. They kept us updated with his adjustment as it was his first time with them. When they expressed concern when he did not eat his dinner, we assured them that he does skip meals. We were lucky to find them available for our mini vacation. Thank you, Laurie and Richard”

“Evan was a great sitter for my older dog, Dempsey! He took great care of him and kept me informed of how he was doing. Evan has a genuine love for dogs and did a wonderful job!”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”

“Noah is the best! He goes above and beyond caring for our dog. We have never left our dog for an extended period of time with anyone other than family but when we couldn't bring our pup with us on a trip- we knew he was in the best hands! I would recommend Noah to anyone! 100/10!”

“Johanna was awesome! She was super communicative and easy going. I know Louis loved staying with her and Panda, and I would absolutely have her watch him again.”

“Katherin was amazing! She sent detailed and thoughtful updates about my dog’s stay, giving me at least three updates a day, with such cute pictures! She made sure my dog ate, brushed her teeth, and gave her long walks around the neighborhood. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in such good hands. I recommend Katherin, your pup will have the best stay!”

“So grateful for Kerstyn to take our Charlie last minute. Our dog got along great with hers! I feel bad my she took such good care of her on walks and lots of snuggles. Will use again!”

“We are so grateful to Alex and Daniel for being willing to take a chance on our pup, who has had some behavioral issues with strangers. During the meet & greet, Ella immediately warmed to them both...so we knew that we had a great fit here. Ella had a glorious stay at their home, with lots of TLC and belly rubs. We've already booked her next visit!”

“I am a clingy, overprotective dog mom. It’s me, I’m the problem. I get it. But my pup was so happy at Christine’s, she did not want to leave. My dog is super active (busy, always busy) but she’s currently still pouting and napping after 10 days at her new best friend’s house. Christine was the perfect amount of communicative to let me enjoy my trip out of the country, while allowing me to not have constant anxiety. She is also super understanding and flexible, which is a huge plus. My pup will definitely be staying with her again soon! So happy and grateful to her.”

“Michael was great with my dog, Maya. Lots of picture updates which were greatly appreciated. Seems like she got a lot of exercise and Michael was very flexible on pick up and drop off times when I asked for a change. 10/10 would recommend and book again.”

“Sonia is very communicative and sent lots of photos- I was confident that my cat was happy and well taken care of during my trip. I know my cat will love to go back to Sonia’s next time I travel!”

“Brianne cared for our puppy during our holiday travels. She provided plenty of walks and play time. It was great that our energetic, friendly pup could spend time with a family and other dogs. Brianne sent pictures daily, so we felt at ease while we were away. She was excellent with communication, responding promptly when messaging on the Rover app. We picked up a very happy and tired pup after his stay. Would definitely book again!”

About: Unfortunately I am very allergic to long hair domestics so no overnight stays, but I have helped take care of several cats for short visits; plus, a kitty of my own. I especially have experience working with newly adjusting cats or recent surgery cats.

“Elizabeth was marvelous. My cats were happy and totally relaxed when I got home, and she managed to get my difficult cat her pill, which is just about magic in my book. I would highly recommend Elizabeth!”

“Kelly did drop-in visits for my cat for four days in a row, and my cat was in wonderful hands. She carefully followed all of my instructions and kept me updated after every visit with photos and thoughtful comments about how my cat was doing. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve grown up with pit bulls since a very young age. Thus, not only am I a dog lover, but I am very familiar with dog care. I frequently take my dog on walks, bathe him, play with him, and feed him, making sure he gets the medications he needs. I know what it takes to make sure a dog is happy and has everything they need. I will be working part time over the summer with flexibility working remotely. I will be available to provide anything from walks & short visits to longer stays! I will clearly follow all rules and safety instructions you give me to respect your space and keep your furry friends safe. Just let me know!
About: I’ve lived with pets my entire life and they are so dear to me. My family has had multiple cats at all times and a dog, and I’ve contributed to their care for years. I also have a cat of my own now, who I’ve had for 5 years. I am experienced in tending to cat litter boxes, food, water, and play time. I also have experience giving medication orally and topically for cats. I am a firm believer in letting cats come to you - if your kitty loves humans and attention, great! But if they are more shy, I’m happy to let them have their space. I am also experienced in walking dogs and providing food, water, and oral medications. I am a pretty active person, so if your dog needs longer walks I can easily accommodate them. I am a student working on my own schedule, so I am flexible with my availability. I consistently feed my cat and tend to her a couple times a day and love to have down time with her. When taking care of pets, I seek detailed instructions to ensure I provide the best care for the animal. As a cat mom I always want pictures, so I will keep you updated through photos and text. I am also happy to address any incidental messes in the house while I’m looking after your pet.

“Laura was awesome! I felt so much more relaxed on my vacation knowing she was watching my cats. I got updates everyday and pictures of them playing and eating. She was great and took out the trash and watered the plants as well. 100% recommend, and would book again if I’m ever in need. Thanks Laura!”

“Becca was attentive, provided consistent and clear communication and send great descriptions of her visit. Would be happy to have Becca watch out cats again!”

“Kaya did a perfect job with Atlas and was very communicative! I felt very good about leaving because I knew Kaya would make sure Atlas was taken care of! Will definitely be rebooking in the future! :)”

“Ashley was once again amazing with my cat. Her updates are so thoughtful and fun, which makes me so reassured and comfortable leaving my cat’s in her capable hands. This is the fourth or so time she’s cared for her and every time my cat gets more and more comfortable with her. I love it. She is the best!!”

About: I have been taking care of my two dogs, Sophie and Chase, and my cat, Shadow, for most of my life. My parents are very busy with work, so originally my dogs would be stuck outside or in a cage all day. Obviously I felt this was negative for their livelihoods so I stepped up and trained them to the best of my ability. I found the toys they liked and the best ways for them to learn. Eventually, they were able to be calm and comfortable inside the house at all times. I care for my pets with great love, kindness, and consistency and I would do the same for your pets. I am currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I can come multiple times throughout the day, working around when you need me. I will care for pets in my client’s home in the manner that my client states. I will ask specific questions indicating everything that their pet can use and play with, and areas that we can walk to for some outside time.

“Brittani provided 30 minute drop-ins for my two elderly cats while I was away for the weekend. She was dependable and thorough with her updates, sending pictures and summaries of her visits promptly. From the photos, I could tell the cats warmed up to her quickly and that she was taking great care of them! It was such a relief to not have to worry while I was away. Aside from feeding them fresh food and keeping them company twice a day, she also voluntarily changed their litter. I highly recommend Brittani’s services and will be hiring her again if possible!”

“Very happy with Andre, he was laid back and approachable in our communications, and happy to wear a mask when I asked (important to me). Our cat is super skittish, so he never saw her, but made sure to feed her and even tried to give her some of her other food when it seemed she hadn’t eaten much of the first. Thoughtful and cares about animals for sure!”

About: Home from college for the summer, I'm enjoying a slower pace and spending quality time with my favorite companions—cats! Whether it's feeding, playing, or just hanging out with them, I find taking care of cats relaxing and rewarding. Being around animals is a great way to recharge between semesters, and I love giving them the attention and care they deserve.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.

About: I am a pet lover. I grew up in a home with many pets including dogs and cats and have always had a special connection to animals. I love going on long walks and heading to the dog park when the weather is nice. I am here to help you care for your pet the best way possible. I'll always listen to special instructions and will show your pet the love and attention as if they were my own. I have a flexible schedule and am able to do "drop-in visits" and "rover now" walks during most week days when many walkers are unavailable. I am in the office two days a week, Tuesdays and a flex day. I can't wait to meet your fur baby! **I cannot accept pets that get into plants as I have a few not pet safe plants at home** I work from home 3 days a week and am home most weekends! I too Iove middle of the day walks and all day hangs! I am in a pet friendly building that is super close to Rock Creek for longer walks. My home is child free, and smoke free. I do have a senior beagle mix I adopted from a family member who could not bring him with for an overseas move who is a full time pet at the home.
About: I have loved animals all my life and grew up surrounded by cats, so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I have a calm and positive energy that helps me connect with animals, and I enjoy playing with them as much as keeping them safe and comfortable. I’m patient, caring, and responsible, always paying attention to each pet’s unique needs. In my free time, I enjoy reading, which also means I’m happy to spend quiet moments with pets who like calm company. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which allows me to manage my time easily and dedicate attention to pet care. This way, I can adapt my routine around the pets’ needs, whether it’s playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company. I have experience caring for dogs in the home of friends and family, and I naturally connect with animals. I pay close attention to their needs, whether they want affection, playtime, or simply some space to relax. I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable, keeping their routines consistent and giving them plenty of love and care.
“Brianne and her husband took great care of Birdie! We dropped her off for daycare on Saturday. They were extremely responsive and ensured a smooth transition for both drop off and pick up. Birdie came home happy and exhausted! They definitely made sure she was exercised and cared for.”

“Caleb was absolutely fantastic with my pup Avi, who, at 15, is very sweet but can be a bit stubborn. But he took to Caleb immediately, following behind him with his tail a-wagging! In addition to being so great with my dog, Caleb was incredibly responsive, polite, and had great energy.”

About: I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was a child. I’ve owned an Airedale terrier, a pug, a Russian terrier, and my family currently has a Japanese spitz. I’ve got all sorts of experience - I have adopted a doggie from a shelter before, and I’ve also raised my two pups from 3 months old until they passed a few months ago at ages 14 and 16. I’ve boarded dogs - I looked after a friend’s pug for a week, a family friend’s elderly golden retriever, and fostered a stray my sister and I rescued before someone adopted her. I’ve taken road trips with multiple pets, and flown across the country with 3 of my dogs, I’ve taken them to all sorts of vet appointments, and been with them through all stages of their lives. I’m on this platform looking for company to heal from losing my furry friends, because being around dogs brings me peace and joy. I am a performing artist and I travel a lot for concerts, so having my own pet is unfortunately not feasible at the moment, hence I decided that taking care of someone else’s furry babies while I’m home between performances is the second best thing:) You can rest assured that I’ll take great pleasure in taking care of them and having them in my home. I work from home during the day and I am home from evening until morning, too. I do however step out for errands and appointments. Your dog will be with me most of the time while staying in my home, walked 2-3 times and fed on schedule, but should be comfortable being on its own for 2-3 hours max, if I have things to do. If your doggie has severe separation anxiety and is unable to be alone at all, I can accommodate that with enough notice and for 2x my normal nightly rate. I’ve always let my dogs run free around the house and make a safe space for them where they liked, but I did crate my rescue doggie when he first arrived to slowly acclimate him to the new place. Whatever you prefer for your dog is fine by me and I’m happy to accommodate. I don’t have a yard, but I have plenty of green areas nearby where I’d walk your furry pal. I keep my dogs on leash at all times. I like training them and playing with them to give them some mental stimulation, but if they prefer to chill and not be bothered I’m cool with that as well
About: I have been dog-sitting and cat-sitting for my friends and co-workers for a long time and I can always help in difficult hours or last minute. At this moment I have a remote part-time job so I’m very flexible on schedule! Seven days a week from early morning to late evening. I live in a secured and safe apartment complex with a lot of green areas and generally a very safe neighborhood to walk around. I have a cat.

About: I'm a responsible, honest, and devoted dog and cat lover. If you're looking for someone you can trust and not worry about your pets with, I'm your gal. Since I have hired pet carers for my own beloved cats and dogs, I know the anxiety that comes with entrusting your loved ones to another person; once you meet me, you will not feel anxiety about trusting your loved-one/s to me. I am a retired teacher and marathon runner, and I worked as a professional dog runner in NYC. I can also provide references for my experience, diligence, capability, devotion, and character. I will show up reliably on time, follow your directions carefully, provide lots of pictures and details, and go the extra mile to ensure your pets are loved and safe. I recently retired and am available every day and most evenings of the week except for occasional Wed., Fri, and Sat. evenings but I can adapt my schedule to yours. First, I arrive on time. Then I check the overall state of the pets and home for health and safety. Next, I love and feed them and change their water according to their owners' instructions. I clean the litter and the surrounding area. For dogs, I get them out for their walks/ runs/ playtime as soon as I arrive, and on dog walks, I'm a diligent poop-scooper. For cats and dogs, I will play with and groom them, and exude love. All along, I will take pictures and send them to you. Once the visit is over, I'll ensure that everything in your home is in order and the door is securely locked.

Abby is extremely reliable, straightforward with communicating, and a lovely person! I would highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for high quality and trustworthy pet care.”

“Maddie was incredible with Cherry. They had rapport right away. She was responsible, communicative and walked for an hour in the hot sun and rain to make sure Cherry got her exercise. Highly recommend her to all pet parents!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I could walk… I grew up with rowdy Airedales (4 of which were rescued) and have learned to care for them physically and emotionally. I’ve had dogs for my whole life, so refilling their water, feeding them, walking them, and taking them to the dog party has always been a part of my daily and weekly routine. At my clients home, I carefully greet dogs. I am good at meeting dogs’ psychological needs (as well as physical) as I have lots of experience with rescues and traumatized dogs.
“First walk with our boy Ziggy and she was great. On time, took him out to the dog park, he came back tired. All you can ask for! Super nice and asked all the right questions. We felt very comfortable with her.”

About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up with a Rottweiler, so I’m comfortable with larger breeds and have plenty of experience caring for them. Many of my friends have big dogs, and I often enjoy taking them out for walks. During the warmer months, I can even take your pup on a short run to burn off some extra energy! With prior military service, I bring a high level of responsibility, reliability, and dedication to ensuring your dog gets the best care and attention during our time together. I can be free in the evenings starting at 6 pm on weekdays, or Wednesday mornings before 10:30am. My weekends are free and I can easily fit in a walk while you’re out living your best life. I give all animals lots of love, attention, and patience! I communicate well, and would love to share updates on how your dog is enjoying their walk, with a quick pic or two to capture the moment.
About: I've had a dog my whole life and love taking care of pets. I've been known to walk my neighbors dogs and water their plants when they need the help. I recently ran a half marathon so I would happily take your pet for long walks and even a run. I'm very responsible and nurturing, so I would love to channel that energy into your pet instead of my roommates for a bit. Let me help you give your pet the exciting life they deserve. I'm a full time college student, with a good amount of free time during the summer time, so I would be able to care for your pet whenever it's needed. I plan on taking pets out in the cooler parts of the day, and if the weather is too hot, I feel comfortable entertaining a pet inside, so they can get some of their wiggles out. I have administered medication to dogs several times and feel very comfortable taking care of dogs of all ages.

About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.

About: Hi! My name is Christopher, and I've been caring for animals for most of my life. I grew up with my family's Chihuahua and have been pet sitting and dog walking for family and friends since I was 15 years old. I completed a Veterinary Assistant course at a nearby college and am trained in both dog and cat CPR and first aid. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including large dogs, high energy dogs, and senior cats and dogs that need a little extra patience and attention. I'm passionate about providing more than just the basics of pet care. I believe pets thrive when they receive plenty of exercise, playtime, enrichment, and individualized attention. I also place a strong emphasis on reading and respecting each animal's body language so that they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking partner, a dependable sitter, or someone to provide attentive care while you're away, I'll treat them like they're part of my own family. My goal is to give you peace of mind and ensure your pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for! I have full availability until June 27th. Until then, I am always more than willing to be flexible and work with you to create a plan and schedule that best fits your animal's needs and routines. Being the owner of a feisty chihuahua and having cared for larger but equally rambunctious dogs, I can work well under pressure to keep a watchful eye on any and all pets in the home as well as maintain an awareness of open windows/doors and other security concerns. I know how to maintain a healthy balance between play and gentle guidance - especially when outdoors or in the vicinity of other animals.
About: I have a pet Russian tortoise who requires special care and delicate handling that's more involved than, say, walking and feeding a dog or taking care of a cat. I have a pretty flexible schedule both this summer and into the fall. Pet care can easily be scheduled around my summer job and college classes. I make sure pets, my own and others that I've been responsible for, get plenty of attention. I don't leave them until all their needs have been met

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Rodrigo was a lifesaver on multiple occasions in just a few short days - accepting a frantic last minute booking I had when some plans fell through and being very patient and helpful dealing with unexpected travel delays on my return. Plus I could tell Watson had a great time and got along super well with the lovely Luna. I have actually already booked again as I knew Watson is in good hands. Thanks Rodrigo!!”

“Our dogs seemed to have had a wonderful time at Kamille’s! They made new friends and got lots of attention, and I was so appreciative of Kamille’s communication and photos and videos! Very happy with the experience!”

“So grateful for Kerstyn to take our Charlie last minute. Our dog got along great with hers! I feel bad my she took such good care of her on walks and lots of snuggles. Will use again!”

“I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Edward and Natalia. We had a meet and greet a week prior where they asked a lot of questions and observed Ralphie with their sweet pup, Liz Lemon. I always worry leaving Ralphie with a new Rover. He has been described as “extra” and needs a lot of attention/human presence. Within an hour of dropping him off, I got a note that he is settling in fine with a picture of him cozied up with the family and this eased my mind immensely. They were very responsive when I reached out and had everything ready to go when I picked him up. The biggest testament, however, is Ralphie’s behavior on the drive home. If let’s me know if he didn’t like his stay somewhere, but leaving Natalia and Edward he was calm and well behaved. They deserve this 5-star review and j would recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation.”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Joy! I’m so happy that we found you (and your family) to look after Joy for us. Joy is definitely missing you all and looking forward to another stay!”

“Hayden was great and really communicative and flexible on drop off and pick up days and times. Biggie got lots of play time and seemed happy upon return. Would definitely recommend Hayden and use him again.”

“Michael was great with my dog, Maya. Lots of picture updates which were greatly appreciated. Seems like she got a lot of exercise and Michael was very flexible on pick up and drop off times when I asked for a change. 10/10 would recommend and book again.”

“Matt and Kelly (and their sweet daughter!) took great care of Robbin while I was away! They took her on plenty of walks and runs and I received pictures while I was away which was very much appreciated.”
“Austin & Majid were great Rovers for Hercules. They were very communicative and ensured Hercules was well looked after. We would definitely book with them again!”
