I care exclusively for cats. Almost all of my clients are within a mile of me in the Dupont/Kalorama area, so I'm rarely more than a few minutes away if something comes up. I've handled daily pill medications (including for senior cats who need theirs tucked into a treat), prescription diets, automatic feeders, and multi-cat households where everyone eats something different. Seniors and cats with routines that can't slip are very much my lane. Shy cats are the other specialty. I don't chase or force interaction — I sit on the floor, give them space, and let them decide. Most come out by the second or third visit. Litter gets scooped every single visit, water bowls washed and refilled rather than topped off, and every drop-in ends with a detailed Rover Card and photos so you know exactly how the day went.

When caring for cats in their own D.C. homes, my priority is to maintain their established routine and ensure their comfort and security within their familiar environment. I am meticulous about following your instructions for feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, and any medication. I provide a calm and attentive presence, respecting their space while ensuring they feel safe and cared for.

Phil was probably the best rover I have ever had! He was very communicative and his updates were thorough and fun to read! He also did a great job keeping things tidy which I appreciated. My cat gets anxious when I’m away and she doesn’t get enough attention but I could tell she had been well cared for when I returned. Would be happy to have Phil care for my cat again!

Working primarily from my home in D.C. provides me with a very flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate the necessary time and attention to your cat's needs throughout the day, whenever you require my services.
