When I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian, and then a zoologist. Neither career panned out, but my love for animals remained. About: I've had a dog my whole life and love taking care of pets. I've been known to walk my neighbors dogs and water their plants when they need the help. I recently ran a half marathon so I would happily take your pet for long walks and even a run. I'm very responsible and nurturing, so I would love to channel that energy into your pet instead of my roommates for a bit. Let me help you give your pet the exciting life they deserve. I'm a full time college student, with a good amount of free time during the summer time, so I would be able to care for your pet whenever it's needed. I plan on taking pets out in the cooler parts of the day, and if the weather is too hot, I feel comfortable entertaining a pet inside, so they can get some of their wiggles out. I have administered medication to dogs several times and feel very comfortable taking care of dogs of all ages.

All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I could walk… I grew up with rowdy Airedales (4 of which were rescued) and have learned to care for them physically and emotionally. I’ve had dogs for my whole life, so refilling their water, feeding them, walking them, and taking them to the dog party has always been a part of my daily and weekly routine. At my clients home, I carefully greet dogs. I am good at meeting dogs’ psychological needs (as well as physical) as I have lots of experience with rescues and traumatized dogs.

For cat visits, I take my time rather than rushing in and out, giving shy cats space to come to me and making sure I'm attentive to social ones. For dogs, I make sure they're exercised, stimulated, and comfortable, and I always leave the home the way I found it. I've been doing this long enough to know that the small details matter, whether it be a favorite toy, a usual nap spot, a specific treat. My own 13 year old mini labradoodle, Hazel, is quite particular and has given me plenty of training in that area. Families in my neighborhood have trusted me with their homes and their animals for years, and I take that seriously every single visit.
