“We've had Kaya pet sit twice now and she was tremendously helpful! Out two cats and dog enjoyed her visits over the past week. She provided meds and frequent updates to assure us they were behaving. Highly recommend her to others!”

“Andre was terrific. He came over in advance to make sure he knew where everything was and go over our cats schedule. We definitely know Bowie was well cared for and will use Andre again in the future when we travel.”

About: I have fifteen years of pet sitting and care experience, to include drop-ins, walks, feedings, litter box cleaning and overnight stays. When I was little, I wanted to be a veterinarian, and then a zoologist. Neither career panned out, but my love for animals remained. Now I get my fill of furry friends by providing excellent, worry-free care for your pets! As a proud mom of three urban hens, I know how nerve-wracking it is to be away from a beloved pet. That’s why I provide frequent updates and pictures to my clients so that they can go about their workdays or trips without anxiety. I specialize in cats, dogs and birds. I can’t wait to meet your pet! I am currently freelancing part-time, which provides me with an extremely flexible schedule to care for your pets! From walks to drop-ins to overnight stays, I can provide a variety of services to DMV pet owners When in your home whether for a drop-by or overnight stay, I am committed to making your pet feel as comfortable and happy as possible in the absence of their person/people. I follow my clients’ instructions and specifics of their pets’ routines, and follow them closely. I also provide lots of love and cuddles (or love from afar for pets that don’t like to be touched!)
“Becca is amazing! She has great communication and gives me so much peace of mind when I’m away from my cat Lola. Her daily reports are detailed and of course she sends so many great photos. I will definitely book with Becca again!”

About: I've had a dog my whole life and love taking care of pets. I've been known to walk my neighbors dogs and water their plants when they need the help. I recently ran a half marathon so I would happily take your pet for long walks and even a run. I'm very responsible and nurturing, so I would love to channel that energy into your pet instead of my roommates for a bit. Let me help you give your pet the exciting life they deserve. I'm a full time college student, with a good amount of free time during the summer time, so I would be able to care for your pet whenever it's needed. I plan on taking pets out in the cooler parts of the day, and if the weather is too hot, I feel comfortable entertaining a pet inside, so they can get some of their wiggles out. I have administered medication to dogs several times and feel very comfortable taking care of dogs of all ages.
“Rubens took wonderful care of my cat Olive. He was attentive and his pictures are so great. He captured Olive’s personality and I knew she was in good hands. I will definitely use him again!”

“Aimee - was very easy to communicate with, responsive and professional. I felt my kitties were well taken care of while I was gone. Really appreciated Aimee’s flexibility on when to come over. All in all great experience!”

“Larissa is a fantastic sitter for your pet/pets! My 2 kitties were very well cared for by Larissa! She gave them the attention they needed and the photos she took showed this! Thank you Larissa!”

About: Hi there! I grew up loving dogs, in fact, my older sibling was our family German Shepard! She made sure I was safe, and I made sure she was well loved! I understand how important four-legged family members are. I will provide your fur baby with the same level of care I would want for my own. I LOVE dogs and they love me! I have owned and cared for a full range of dogs. You can feel relaxed with your pet in my care, whether a baby or mature pet, I’ve handled them all! Also, as an experienced foster mom, I am fully comfortable and capable of handling newly adopted or foster dogs, and shy/timid dogs. I have no breed or size restrictions. All furry friends are welcome! Whatever you and your pet need, I am here to help. Currently, I am focused only on dog sitting. Although I tend to schedule tasks when I am not caring for a dog, if I need to run an errand, pups are never left alone for more than one to two hours. My home is very pet friendly and safe. Your fur baby is more than welcome to hang out with me on the couch or on the bed! Let my love of pets help you feel secure in your fur baby's safety and well-being.
About: I'm not just another dog walker or pet sitter — I'm your reliable neighborhood neighbor who’s already the go-to person in my 10-story NW DC apartment building for everything from quick walks to overnight stays (and yes, I handle both dogs and cats with ease!). What really makes me different is my background as a recently retired Special Education teacher. That means I bring serious patience, structure, and a knack for reading behavior to every pet I care for. Whether it’s helping a energetic young pup learn polite leash manners, crate training basics, or simple commands during our walks and playtime — or giving gentle, attentive care to senior dogs and cats who need slower paces, extra cuddles, or help with mobility and medication — I’m genuinely good at meeting each pet exactly where they are. I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’m comfortable with all personalities and ages. I focus on making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you’re away — with consistent routines, plenty of affection, and that extra layer of responsibility that comes from years of working with kids who needed thoughtful, individualized support. In short: You get a sitter who’s dependable, experienced with all life stages of pets, and truly enjoys the work. Your furry (or not-so-furry) family member will get the kind of calm, attentive care that makes coming home even sweeter. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine! Since I’m recently retired, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I live right in a 10-story apartment building in NW DC, so I’m already here and can easily pop down for midday walks, quick drop-ins, or overnight stays without any commute hassle. A typical week for me includes several regular dog walks and cat visits for neighbors in the building. I genuinely enjoy starting my day with a good walk or ending it with some playtime and cuddles. It keeps me active, social, and smiling — plus it gives me that wonderful sense of responsibility I loved from my teaching days. Whether it’s a quick 30-minute walk around the neighborhood, a full night of house sitting, or daily check-ins while you’re traveling, fitting pet care into my schedule is easy and something I truly look forward to. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to work around your needs! I provide all pet care in your home only, so your pets stay in their familiar environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. For dogs, I will only consider bringing them to my house on very rare occasions — and only after I’ve gotten to know the dog well and we both agree it’s the right fit. All cat care happens exclusively in your home. In your home, I follow your exact routines for feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, litter box care, medications, and more. I’m very mindful about safety: keeping doors and windows locked, using secure leashes when needed, and treating your space with complete respect. As a retired Special Education teacher, I’m patient, observant, and highly responsible. I treat every pet and every home with the care they deserve. You can trust that your furry family member will be in safe, loving hands.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I could walk… I grew up with rowdy Airedales (4 of which were rescued) and have learned to care for them physically and emotionally. I’ve had dogs for my whole life, so refilling their water, feeding them, walking them, and taking them to the dog party has always been a part of my daily and weekly routine. At my clients home, I carefully greet dogs. I am good at meeting dogs’ psychological needs (as well as physical) as I have lots of experience with rescues and traumatized dogs.
“Esther took great care of my elderly dog! She is so friendly, caring, and loving with my pup. She had great communication and professionalism and I would definitely book her again!”

About: I love animals and I have many years of experience in pet care. I have three cats and two dogs at home and I have been active in their care all my life. I also have several years of experience cat and dog sitting for other families. I have shadowed vets and I have done an internship with the Darien VCA. I am comfortable with all sizes, breeds, and ages of dog. I have experience caring for special needs and elderly cats. I am available for dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting, overnight stays, and drop-in visits. I work part time, but I am happy to work around my schedule. Currently I am available until 12pm every weekday besides Wednesday, and after 5pm every weekday. My weekends have open availability. I have two dogs of my own that are friendly, and I have experience walking all sizes. I can walk, feed, let out, and crate dogs. I am currently available for overnight care.

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats in my neighborhood since I was 15 and building lasting relationships with families who return to my services frequently. I'm comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including multiple pets simultaneously. My neighbors trust me not just as a sitter, but as someone who loves and cares about their household. I am currently working part time and have availability every morning (until 3pm), while late afternoon / evening depends on the day. Mondays I am free all day! When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their environment exactly as they're used to, meaning same routine, same spaces, and same sense of security. I follow any instructions you leave carefully, whether that's feeding schedules, areas to avoid, or specific habits your pet has. For cat visits, I take my time rather than rushing in and out, giving shy cats space to come to me and making sure I'm attentive to social ones. For dogs, I make sure they're exercised, stimulated, and comfortable, and I always leave the home the way I found it. I've been doing this long enough to know that the small details matter, whether it be a favorite toy, a usual nap spot, a specific treat. My own 13 year old mini labradoodle, Hazel, is quite particular and has given me plenty of training in that area. Families in my neighborhood have trusted me with their homes and their animals for years, and I take that seriously every single visit.

“Megan took great care of my senior cat, Betty White! My request was super last minute and Megan was a lifesaver. She was super communicative and was able to do my cats medication as well. Will definitely use her again!”

Berkley pet parents share their Rover experiences
Daria does an excellent job of meeting the needs of our cats wherever they are regardless of their age or special requirements. During the health decline of Louis, a big ginger boy, he would respond well to Daria even through meds delivery. Now, we count on Daria to deliver the care that our clever but elderly cat craves. We happily recommend Daria as your pet sitter/caregiver.

I had a great experience meeting with Fernanda during our meet and greet. She's friendly, professional, and took the time to get to know both me and my cat (even though she was hiding!). I appreciated how thoughtful she was in asking questions about my cat's routine, preferences, and care needs. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals and wants to provide the best possible care. The meet and greet left me feeling confident and comfortable about leaving my cat in her care. I would absolutely recommend Fernanda to other pet parents looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!

A well deserved 5star review! I had an emergency with my cats, when I called her to come help, she arrived incredibly fast. Not only did she handle the urgent issue perfectly, but what really impressed me was how proactive she was. She went above and beyond to take care of my cats. She is incredibly reliable and gave me such peace of mind. I will absolutely reach out to her again next time!
