About: When I was 16 I was given the choice between getting a dog or a car… and chose a dog. I always have had a love for dogs, whether it’s having my own or being able to be around others. Growing up I had an English Bulldog that I adored. After I moved to DC, my roommate and I fostered a dog from the Humane Rescue Alliance and she was recently adopted! We had her for 4-5 months, and she was an absolute joy to have. She was found on the streets of DC, so I had to work with her on some things like walking on a leash and getting her basic commands down. Now that we don’t have her anymore, I would love to take care of others dogs! I work a sales job, so my weeks are pretty flexible. I have fully remote Mondays and Fridays so those are usually the best days for me to help out during the week, as well as the weekends. I live in a townhouse very close to meridian hill park and would love to take a dog on walks/to the park to play or just hangout!

Annika is always so sweet and amazing with Brooklyn!! 🥹💕 She’s been watching her since she was only 8 weeks old and now she’s almost 17 weeks, so I love that she’s been there since the beginning and has gotten to watch her grow! She always has great communication and sends me the cutest pictures and updates. I also really appreciate that she reinforces the things I’m teaching Brooklyn like her commands, sit, her name, etc. She actually takes the time to engage with her and work with her which means so much to me. I always know my baby is in good hands with Annika! 💕🐶
Joanne is a great sitter, she did an excellent job with my Hershey! She stayed in contact with me throughout the evening, checked in with updates regarding Hershey, and shared pictures. This was my first time using a sitter through Rover and I’m so glad I lucked out with Joanne. Her experience with pets was perfect for Hershey (and me lol) since he’s still a young puppy and used to being with me mostly. I will definitely work with her again!
Sydney was PHENOMENAL! She communicated frequently and clearly and was flexible when I needed an extra day. She gave my cats a lot of attention and played with them — which was so great because they are young and need human interaction! I received amazing pictures and updates daily. Came home to a clean home and happy cats. Ten out of ten will absolutely book again!
Jason is the absolute best. Not only did he take loving care of our kitties (and provide such cute pics), when I received an alert from DC water that there was water running at our house he went back to the house and turned off the valve to a running toilet.
Kayla was amazing! She followed all the instructions and was very flexible with the schedule. I would 100% recommend her to anyone with pets. My cats were happy and healthy when i returned home. She is very friendly and responded quickly to my messages. I will definitely book her again !
Idit is a great cat sitter - she takes her time with my cat and plays with her at my cat’s own speed (Freyja can be fickle in which toys she likes to play with.). She was very attentive to her and was sure to give her lots of pets. She’s very nice and easy to work with, and definitely open to listening to any pet concerns or things to watch out for while you’re away.
Rachel was absolutely wonderful with our cats! She was reliable, caring, attentive, and kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cares about them and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. We came home to three very content kitties! We’re so grateful to have found her and would absolutely trust Rachel with them again. Highly recommend! ❤️
