About: Newish to DC, I've been caring for dogs and cats for over ten years, and meet every pet and family where they are at, adapting to their routines, energy levels, and specialized needs. I find a lot of joy in caring for higher needs pets, who benefit from a tender, steady presence while their family is away. As I work from home full-time, I can adapt my schedule around your pet's needs and provide consistent companionship throughout the day. I've cared for puppies with separation anxiety, a dachshund with fussy eating habits, an anxious pit bull with an involved medication regimen, and accident-prone senior dogs - and have loved working with all of them, while being the reassuring carer that their families can rely on while they are away. I also have lived with and cared for many cats over the years, and love helping them hold down the fort while the family is away. Whether a cat wants to play and socialize, or just needs a friendly, caring presence until their family returns, I meet them at their comfort level. I know that many feline friends are particular about how their food, water, and litter is set up, and I do everything I can to ensure that everything is set up to their satisfaction. I can adapt my schedule to fit whatever works best for your pet and family, as I am at home, full-time, working on my thesis. I aim to keep your pet as close to their usual daily routine for their comfort and stability. I aim to follow whatever routine you've set for your pet, and get as much information about their needs, quirks, preferences ahead of time, so that you can spend your time away worry free, knowing that I have the information needed to make your pet comfortable and supported during my time with them. I work with each pet family to set communication preferences, whether that is check-ins at specific times, a daily update, or more frequent communication, and send photos/videos throughout the day. While some families prefer continuous updates, others like a sitter who has the information to handle pet care without having to answer questions while away, and I try to gather all the info I can when we connect initially to be able to care for your pet and communicate how best works for you.

About: I grew up with rescue dogs my whole life and adopted a senior chihuahua in 2020 who we lost a few months ago. We aren’t quite ready to adopt again, but are really missing the love of a dog in our lives and would love to shower your baby in love!! We still have dog beds, treats, stairs to get on the bed, etc. that we would love to put to use. I work from home Thursday and Friday so am opening my schedule only those days and weekend to ensure I can give pups the attention and care they deserve. We live in a super walkable neighborhood and I’m happy to walk them every 2-4 hours. We are homebodies and will give lots of snuggles and love. Don’t have other pets or kids. Myself and my wife will be around and both have lots of experience from caring for our dog Toby who recently passed. Dogs are allowed on the couch and bed. We don’t have a yard but our neighborhood is super walkable and we live near a dog park if that is of interest (would never take the dog there unless specifically requested).
