About: I'll treat your fur baby as my own! I grew up with dogs and desperately want my own one day, but with travel, I'm enjoying the flexibility of dogsitting. I work full-time and I mostly work from home except for every-other Wednesday, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pup! On week nights I like to go for walks and hang out with friends- if your dog is social, I'd love to bring them along. I live in a condo with front yard and back yard spaces, and there's a dog park within walking distance. In my home, dogs are allowed wherever they choose (besides my bed because I get the sniffles). So much love and attention will be given. I will take your pup on walks or potty breaks as often as needed, anytime!

About: I do take up to 4 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I'm looking forward to making memorable moments with your dog(s). I can take your dog on an hour long early morning walk/run near a park close to where I live, so we can also play ball, Frisbee or with a toy! Then I could take your dog to 1-3 additional walks throughout the day. I try to make the dog feel at home,by being calm and trying to understand his/her body language, quirks and personality. Giving them affection and playing with them, but also some alone time.

About: I am so excited to be back on Rover. I had my very own fur baby but she crossed the rainbow bridge. I love taking care of others fur babies. I am responsible, communicative, and very protective of all the dogs that are under my care. When not traveling I have a pretty open schedule. I would be home most of the time with your pet. When not running errands. I try to be around for your pet as much as possible while they acclimate to a routine in my house. I live close to the lake so if your doggie wants long walks we have an entire lake trail to walk. I also live on a dog friendly street so we have lots of space to go on walks.

“Ruben is the best! Our puppies Frankie and Kevin loved spending the day at his place. It had been a few weeks since Kevin last stayed with Ruben and he was so happy to see him! Frankie is a newer addition to our family and she’s a rescue - she’s been through some trauma and has separation anxiety but Ruben made her very comfortable. He is always so responsive, flexible, accommodating and a great host to our pups. He’s great about sending picture updates too! Highly recommend Ruben!”

We had them watch Tilly over Lollapalooza weekend, and they were so flexible with our drop off and pick up times, which took a lot of stress off an already hectic weekend. They also sent us tons of pictures and updates throughout, which we loved getting. Tilly always was always excited to get dropped off with always made us feel better dropping her off. “Very communicative and conscientious. Our guy is pretty anxious (separation and in general), to the degree that we couldn't even hand him over to someone to try a temperament test at an open boarding/daycare place. Joerg and Lake have been willing to work with us on gradually desensitizing him - giving him space and time to get used to them and their pup Lizzie at his own pace. They have a system for slowly introducing new dogs to their space, themselves, and Lizzie which really worked! After first doing a meet and greet in a park, a week later we did a 6 hour daycare session which exceeded my hopes - he allowed Joerg and Lake to handle him / pick him up (something no stranger has managed to do since we got him 5.5 months ago), and went on walks with Lizzie with no issues. Very pleased with how things went, and how kind and communicative Joerg was throughout. We will definitely be booking some more sessions to hopefully work our way up to boarding in future!”
