I have been a pet lover ever since I had my first dog at the age of 7. Not only am I a pet lover, but I have experience taking care of and helping to care for a variety of different dogs over the years. I used to live in Madison, WI, where I lived with my best friend. She was a loving dog-sitter and through living with her, I've played a part in taking care of so many different sizes and temperaments of dogs. From small Pomeranians to Pit Bulls and Bernese Mountain Dogs, I've seen it all! I have experience in walking, dog-sitting and taking care of various different dogs, those who have needed medicine daily, who are reactive, or just chill. Not only do I have the experience, but I have the care, love, affection and responsibility that you're looking for. Who’s better to watch your baby than someone who is responsible for caring for and teaching 400 students a week! I’m a CPS Spanish teacher, so I am an extremely responsible, kind and caring person. I pride myself on my relationships with my kids and their parents, which you would see in our contact and relationship, too! I also understand the worry and anxiety on the Pet Parent side of a good pet-sitter relationship. I have a cat, Ophelia, who is my entire world. I completely understand the frustration and anxiety that comes along with owning a pet and allowing someone to take care of them, too. I get so nervous whenever I know that my pet is awaiting care, so when I provide care for people’s pets, I treat them as if they were my own. I send tons of updates, pictures and videos, as well as stay in constant communication, to ensure people that their pets are well taken care of. You should contact me about caring for your pet! Callie loves her time with Cora! She runs to her every time we arrive and I know she’s happy, safe, and loved when she’s there!
Cora was incredibly attentive and patient with my older dog who requires specialized care. She provided regular updates and was flexible in attending to his medication and behavior needs! Would highly recommend!
Cora was awesome! She was very accommodating with timing, sent pics and videos throughout Callie’s stay, and was an excellent communicator during and after Callie’s visit. So appreciated her!

Schedule
I am a teacher, so I have the summer off! I am available mostly M-F this summer, but am a morning person, so most mornings, afternoons and nights work for me!

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, my cat is my top priority. I am not only constantly making sure she is safe, with the help of a Furbo pet camera. I constantly am watching my cats habits and changes in her mood or behavior, eating and pooping habits. I take her to the vet and reach out to my vet regularly if I notice any changes in her. I play with her in a variety of ways every day to make sure she is happy and stimulated. I even have a bird feeder for her to watch birds all day when I'm at work :) She is never alone, and if I'm gone for the weekend, I ensure someone is always there to care for her. She is like my child, and is treated that way!
Pets
A typical day
I love to go on long walks at Graceland cemetery or runs! I also love to watch TV and veg out and relax. I also love going the lakefront, relaxing, reading and swimming. I'm a very outdoorsy person who is quite active and always on my feet. I love being in nature and walking around!

- If you need someone to sit your dog at my apartment, please let me know ahead of time so that I can set up a meet and greet with my cat, Ophelia. She loves dogs, but sometimes dogs are aggressive towards her. I am open to watching your reactive dogs, medical needs dogs, etc. I just need to know those things ahead of time. Please let me know how your pet is on leash/off leash, with other dogs, and people! It's important for me to know all of these things so that I can provide the best care, but I don't discriminate against those dogs that aren't perfect! :)
