“Laura was absolutely great with my dog Leia, and took great care of her. Leia loved looking out her large windows and spying on the the neighborhood squirrels and running around Laura's backyard. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone.”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. I strive to treat every pet (and owner) with the utmost respect and kindness, and I’ll follow your instructions to a T! (The T stands for toe beans 🤓) Currently unemployed due to layoffs in my industry, so I’ll be able to give your fur bestie as much attention as possible! I can do overnights, multiple nights in a row, or just a drop-in/walk; whatever you need - I got you! :) I have a fenced yard in front of my apartment complex so your fur bestie can run free and tire themselves out before beddybye! I can crate your pup if you provide one or they can get some shut-eye on the couch or wherever they’re comfy!
“Sarah and Walter have been such rockstars in helping us take care of our pup after his surgery! They are super responsive and flexible and great with taking care of special needs dogs. We are so appreciative of all of their work, and would definitely recommend them!”

“My little fella made himself right at home upon arrival to Mark's place. He snuggled into some blankets for a nice morning nap then got up to meet his new friends and hang out with them. He was very content, comfortable and had a good time!”

“Bobo had a great time with Carly. I loved the pictures she sent and how happy and tired he was when I picked him up! Carly was gentle, attentive and thorough with her care. She was also very responsive so arranging drop off and pickup was very easy.”

“Arlene pup-sat our lovely 3 month old puppy, who came home happy and tired. I would recommend her for all ages. She is a warm, caring person and I felt that our pup was in good hands.”

“David was great with our pup Chase. He's usually very shy and slow to warm up to people. However he really took to David and Pinto super quickly. David shared pictures and videos of them playing and sleeping throughout the day. I would definitely recommend him for any dogsitting needs.”

“Susan was wonderful! She was very caring with our little elder dog. Communication was great and we were happy to receive a photo of our dog having a comfortable stay with Susan. We appreciate you, Susan!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 12 years. I treat my puppy like a family member and will do the same for yours! Since they are family they are allowed on the couch and will get plenty of belly rubs & cuddles. I work from home. My pup and I go for a walk through the park or around the neighborhood first thing at 7:30 am and then usually breakfast is serve. We go back four our next walk at 11:30/12 then we go out again after work at 5pm. This one’s a longer walk and we follow that with play time and dinner. :) That is followed by cuddles. I will send you super cute updated images so you can see what fun your fur baby is up to :) . I also have a fenced small backyard incase your pup wants to do some light leash free jogging with me.
About: I have been a house and pet sitter since High School while working at a vet’s office and all throughout college and many years after. I love a good pet therapy session to keep stress levels down for me and the animal. I have two cats of my own and know how important it is for them to get interacted with throughout the day when we aren’t around, as well as when we have our own overnight commitments to attend. I would be honored to get to spend a little time with your fur baby when needed! I am a fun loving, easy going, and pet (and treat) giving cat mom who loves both cats and dogs! I can’t wait to meet all the incredibly adorable animals possible through this opportunity. I am quite the stimulating pet parent! My cats even knows some commands and tricks. We love some treat giving, toy searching, and you playing in my house! I work for Rover fulltime, so I am always here. I have enough space, and gates to keep 3-5 dogs at a time, if the family is comfortable with other friendly dogs being in the same house with them. I walk all separately unless they are from the same family or the dogs are really good friends. We take about 5-6 walks a day around the neighborhood ranging between 20-30 minutes depending on the weather of the season, and even have a deck with a piece of “grass” where older pets can use the restroom easily or if it is raining, for a quick potty break. We have water in every room of the house, we love to give treats, have crates and gates for alone time if needed, and there is always an opportunity to sunbathe in our house or on our deck.
“Jessica took great care of our dog, Bebop, while he stayed with her for the day. She met with us first for a meet-and-greet and then sent updates and photos while he was with her. We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future!”

“Megan was a great host for our pups! Very willing to accommodate our schedule and responsive before and during our trip. Our two dogs had a great time during day care at her place and come home tuckered out both days they stated there. Thanks for taking such good care of them!”

“Chachi had a good time at Ian's house. He had three beds and couches to lounge on with blankets and pillows which he enjoyed a lot. He also had outdoor yard to roam and sunbathe. He enjoyed his time.”

“Peter and his wife were wonderful! They were communicative and sent some cute pics of our little guy, which we really appreciated. This was Kumo’s first Rover stay, and they made the whole experience feel easy and reassuring—they clearly know what they’re doing. Kumo came home happy and tired, and we loved hearing that he had such a great time playing with their dog, Khalil. We’ll absolutely be booking with them again!”

“I am new to this city and have an overprotective dog who is adjusting to city life. Jamie took very good care of him and kept me informed to help reduce my anxiety. I definitely plan to leave Rocket with Jamie for more time in the future.”

“Meli had a wonderful time with Tara and her family. I received pictures and an update of Meli during the day. She was accommodating and flexible with my schedule. Would definitely reccomend.”

About: I joined 4H to show & train dogs as a 5th grader. My golden won so many ribbons! I started agility as a hobby in grad school, and learned there may be downsides of using target training a Leonberger how to flip light switches and open doors. Now, with my Great Pyrenees mix, we greet kids as we go to and from school, read together, and walk the neighborhood. I work from home, and love to take my calls on walks. I rise early and like a night walk too, so as long as there's a little flexibility, there is plenty of time to care for and hang out with your lovely pets too! I have a few neighbors who entrust pets with me when they vacation. I have a fenced in yard, and separate areas for feeding. I keep keys for walking appointments, and can do stop overs easily.

About: My schedule won’t allow me to book far in advance. So if you’re looking for a last minute dog sitter feel free to reach out to me to check my availability. I have experience working with large breeds and bully breeds as well as the little guys that sometimes just want to be carried. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and all of my love and attention. I have a goofy fun-loving 2yr old boxer, who loves to play in our backyard. He is well socialized with all types of dogs. He knows how to adjust his play level to make all dogs feel comfortable staying at our house. I freelance in the film industry and often have time off in between projects. So I would be home with your dog for their entire stay. I have a safe and secure fenced in backyard. My house is super pet friendly. They will be free to roam around the house, choose one of the many dog beds or curl up on the couch with me. I also have dog crates and gates to keep them contained if that is what they are used to.
Albany Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
My shy, anxious beagle had a blast at Valerie’s, didn’t want to come home! I appreciated Valerie’s patience, flexibility, and ability to be both laidback with my pup while also giving her space to indulge her zoomies. Plus, we got lots of pics throughout the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay, will use again!

We are so glad we found Caitlin! She’s been wonderful taking care of our sheepadoodle puppy Enzo. She’s been very flexible and accommodating, and her dog Maisie is a sweetheart. As a new dog mom, I’m also so appreciative of the frequent picture/video updates she sends :) She’s going to be our go-to person for Enzo care!

Peter and his wife were wonderful! We’ll absolutely be booking with them again!

Mello had a great time playing with his friend Ollie. He was timid at first but was well cared-for and got multiple walks plus plenty of belly rubs. I got pictures and updates during the day that reassured me he was adapting well. I am happy to take him back again!
