My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. About: My schedule won’t allow me to book far in advance. So if you’re looking for a last minute dog sitter feel free to reach out to me to check my availability. I have experience working with large breeds and bully breeds as well as the little guys that sometimes just want to be carried. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and all of my love and attention. I have a goofy fun-loving 2yr old boxer, who loves to play in our backyard. He is well socialized with all types of dogs. He knows how to adjust his play level to make all dogs feel comfortable staying at our house. I freelance in the film industry and often have time off in between projects. So I would be home with your dog for their entire stay. I have a safe and secure fenced in backyard. My house is super pet friendly. They will be free to roam around the house, choose one of the many dog beds or curl up on the couch with me. I also have dog crates and gates to keep them contained if that is what they are used to.

This was Kumo’s first Rover stay, and they made the whole experience feel easy and reassuring—they clearly know what they’re doing. About: Update as of 5/10/2022: Our girl Zoey has peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge. We miss her smooches and happy wiggle. Please remember to donate to local shelters like the Chicago Canine Rescue and incredibly compassionate organizations like Live Like Roo. We are now accepting new clients in the city and suburbs. Update as of 4/17/2022: Zoey has been a strong girl and we’ve exhausted every treatment for the lymphoma. We’re preparing to say goodbye and loving her as much as possible. If you’re able and willing to donate we do have a Go Fund Me to help us pay for her final arrangements. We’re currently accepting appointments from established clients and will continue to be taking a small break from meeting new clients. Thank you for wishing us well and sending some love to Zoey our special girl. Update as of 9/1/2021: We are currently in cancer treatment for our girl Zoey. We don’t know how much time we have left with her but we’re hopeful for remission. Because she’ll be immunocompromised during treatment we’re taking a break from sittings. One day I hope to raise an Irish Wolfhound. Half of my life thus far has been dedicated to raising dogs and other animals. I've had dogs at all stages of their life even birth and weening. About: I grew up a cat girl with about 6 different cats coming in and out of my life. Ive care for my little senior and he is 10 years now. I have hosted for my neighbor's/coworker's/family pets. I can confidently say Ive grown up with and can administer any medication or special physical/emotional care to dogs cats and even exotic pets in between. Ive washed dried played and groomed my own dog and other's as well. My day revolves around giving my own pets as well as my clients pets constant care and attention full-time! I love to start my day walking my dog(even before touching my phone). I take the heath of myself and any animal in my care very seriously. I am very attentive and I invest 24/7 care at the capacity that I can give it. I choose to make caring for your pet as well as all other forms of life such as animals plants and insects important to me. I take cleaning very seriously and always keep designated areas clean for each specific pet in my care. I have many pets in my care currently including my one small senior dog, three cats, four birds, two guinea pigs, one snake, and one turtle. I hold myself and my ability to care for animals in a very high regard .My large home is a blessing and allows for the space to create joy within a community where your pet can feel safe comfortable and happy! About: I have a dog of my own that I have trained since 8 weeks. And I've recently rescued 2 brother/bonded cats. I am committed to taking the best care of both human and cat and canine clients. My goal is to make clients’ days easier by making sure their pets enjoy great days that include exercise and loving companionship. I have experience with potty training, leash training, general behavior training, and more. I am here to help your pet with anything they need! Can walk, run, bathe, feed, cuddle, train, give medicine, etc. Can't wait to meet your little creatures! I currently work from home and am flexible to drop-in or go for walks throughout the day. Early morning, mid day or evening works for me! Safety, comfort, and care are my top priority when handling your dog on a walk or at your home. Every animal has unique needs and I am equipped to take special care of each one individually. I work full-time but am active around the neighborhood, evenings and weekends are available for any amount of work or time needed to take care of your pet. Dogs are certainly more comfortable in their homes and familiar environments, I am sure to always respect their space and am highly attentive to their moods and adjust accordingly.
