“River loved her doggy day care stay with Brian. The meet and greet before was helpful and greatly appreciated as well. Would highly recommend Brian to take great care of your fur baby!”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. I strive to treat every pet (and owner) with the utmost respect and kindness, and I’ll follow your instructions to a T! (The T stands for toe beans 🤓) Currently unemployed due to layoffs in my industry, so I’ll be able to give your fur bestie as much attention as possible! I can do overnights, multiple nights in a row, or just a drop-in/walk; whatever you need - I got you! :) I have a fenced yard in front of my apartment complex so your fur bestie can run free and tire themselves out before beddybye! I can crate your pup if you provide one or they can get some shut-eye on the couch or wherever they’re comfy!
“David was great with our pup Chase. He's usually very shy and slow to warm up to people. However he really took to David and Pinto super quickly. David shared pictures and videos of them playing and sleeping throughout the day. I would definitely recommend him for any dogsitting needs.”

“We appreciate how Sasha took such good care of our senior dog. He enjoyed meeting her dog and napping in her comfortable home. She responded quickly to our initial request, communicated clearly along the way, and sent several cute photos. I definitely recommend Sasha!”

“We were so grateful to have found Arlene! Fred loved going there and we knew he was being well cared for. Arlene is very professional, responsive., and caring. She has a way with dogs, for sure!”

About: My schedule won’t allow me to book far in advance. So if you’re looking for a last minute dog sitter feel free to reach out to me to check my availability. I have experience working with large breeds and bully breeds as well as the little guys that sometimes just want to be carried. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and all of my love and attention. I have a goofy fun-loving 2yr old boxer, who loves to play in our backyard. He is well socialized with all types of dogs. He knows how to adjust his play level to make all dogs feel comfortable staying at our house. I freelance in the film industry and often have time off in between projects. So I would be home with your dog for their entire stay. I have a safe and secure fenced in backyard. My house is super pet friendly. They will be free to roam around the house, choose one of the many dog beds or curl up on the couch with me. I also have dog crates and gates to keep them contained if that is what they are used to.
“Peter and his wife were wonderful! They were communicative and sent some cute pics of our little guy, which we really appreciated. This was Kumo’s first Rover stay, and they made the whole experience feel easy and reassuring—they clearly know what they’re doing. Kumo came home happy and tired, and we loved hearing that he had such a great time playing with their dog, Khalil. We’ll absolutely be booking with them again!”

“Cannot say enough good things about Laura and Charles!! We have a zany, wiggly, high-energy teenage Boxer who means well but can be a lot to handle. We're often hesitant to leave her with new people, but feel totally comfortable sending her to Laura and Charles' place for daycare. She has a blast romping around with her new dog friends, and we have 100% peace of mind that she is safe, happy, and well cared for. We also love that they're helping her to improve her manners and to understand that not all dogs want to play all the time! Her whole body wiggles with excitement when she gets dropped off and she doesn't want to leave at the end of the day. We are SO glad to have found Laura and Charles, and are excited to make this a regular booking!”

“Leslie was sweet and kind. She sent several pictures of mello our puppy and responded almost instantly and when I picked up the puppy, he was super calm and he seemed like he had a great time. I recommend her instantly.”

“Jackie saved the day, offering to sit for my dog CoCo when the other sitter failed to come through for me. She is kind, thoughtful, responsible, and communicative, and I love her Black Cat! I recommend her whole-heartedly. :)”

“Our puppy had a great time with Diana! She was responsive and helped provide the daily exercise our dog needs. Had a lot of great feedback after day care and we appreciated her positivity! Would use her again.”

“I am new to this city and have an overprotective dog who is adjusting to city life. Jamie took very good care of him and kept me informed to help reduce my anxiety. I definitely plan to leave Rocket with Jamie for more time in the future.”

“Pamela watched our pup Winnie for the second time and Winnie was so excited to see her when I dropped her off! Pamela was great about sending pics and updates throughout the day which we really appreciated”

“Sarah and Walter have been such rockstars in helping us take care of our pup after his surgery! They are super responsive and flexible and great with taking care of special needs dogs. We are so appreciative of all of their work, and would definitely recommend them!”

From Penguin Dogs Chicago Founder Lex Porres: I love all kinds of animals but dogs hold a special place in my heart. I've had dogs consistently since I was 14. All of my dogs were rescues with different stories. I've had a Chihuahua, a Lhasa Apso, a Rottweiler, a Border Collie Mix, a Pit Bull, and I'm the Proud Aunt of a Corgi. One day I hope to raise an Irish Wolfhound. Half of my life thus far has been dedicated to raising dogs and other animals. I've had dogs at all stages of their life even birth and weening. Currently, I volunteer at the Chicago Canine Rescue. In the future I would like to open a rescue for all breeds of dogs on a large plot of land in the countryside. Dogs are friends fur life! Portage Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Lauriann and Sven were so accommodating and supportive of our pup’s needs for doggy day care. They were responsive and communicative and followed our instructions and checked in and sent pics. So thankful for their gracious and loving care for our dog. Would definitely book with them again!

David hosted our Toki for last minute daycare so we can focus on family time during the holidays. He was very accommodating and my dog told me he had a wonderful time with him and Pinto. I'm grateful for him and looking forward to using his services again whenever I'm in town.

Tango seemed to have really enjoyed the day with Craig and his dogs. I was worried because he's been a little reluctant to be around some dogs lately, but he was so excited when I dropped him off with Craig and their pups, and was happy when I picked him up. Craig took him for a long walk and he explored Craig and Ashley's lovely backyard. He went to bed as soon as he came home (which is so nice for me!). Craig included a number of photos in Tango's report card - he looked very content. We'll definitely use Craig and Asley again for day care and hopefully boarding the future!
