🔔 🆕 We both work in office but Catherine is remote on Monday and Fridays. We fully enjoy being able to get some sunlight and cuddle with a companion. When Catherine works from home or has weekends to herself, she loves getting a new friend to be best friends with and meeting their parents! It’s a joy to meet new people especially since we’re home most of the time.

Information Catherine & Johnny L. would like to know about your pet

It is important for us to know if your dog has issues with other people, children, and/or dogs. Most days we’re caring for more than one dog, so it helps us to have successful stay. If you could provide further detail and insight to any known health conditions, anxiety, behavioral characteristics that prevent your dog to being the best they can be especially if these come out during specific environments that trigger their stressors, we can plan accordingly for their stay and walks. Upon booking, we’ll ask a few more questions about the specifications of how you we can make the transition as smooth as possible. We do have an extra night fee of $22 if your pet decides to stay an extra night as it typically prevents us from taking care of another pet. Thank you for your understanding!

A typical day

We will try to get all cuddles your pet will allow us to. We will spoil your dog with scratchies, treats, and walks all around my neighborhood so please let us know their allergies. We want this to be their vacation with the standard commands and discipline as needed. There are several parks nearby that are friendly and less busy than others. If your dog is up for it, we may even take them on a run with me for those who have high energy and see who wins to get a treat! I know some days aren’t all our bests and anxiety can get to us, so I will do all that I like wrap them in blankets or in a thunder jacket to get them comfortable in a new space or minimize the walking if your dog needs less of it.

Pet care experience

🆕 Our schedule has changed. We both have new jobs! That means we can only care for your animals Friday-Monday. We hope to see them soon! 👋 Fun facts 1. We have cared for a pup for as long as 1 month. 2. We are One Tail at a Time approved fosters for over 1.5 years. 3. We are a married couple tag teaming caring for your fur ✏️ We have been around dogs my entire life and currently am a foster for One Tail at a Time Chicago! We have had the privilege to care for a dog since we were very young and have been an approved foster for over two years. We thoroughly enjoy helping others find solace in knowing that their dog is getting the care they need when their owners need it. We travel enough that we do not have an animal of our own just yet but have a good chunk of our time available to care for yours. Our biggest goals are making your pet feel like they’re at their favorite aunts and uncles. 🧾The animals we’ve have cared for ranged from being vocal, anxious from separation, mouthiness, leash reactivity, overall reactivity, and high energy. I have the time and energy, so feel free to drop of your dog at their new home away from home!
