About: Hi! I’m Samantha. I moved to Chicago in late 2018 and spent my first year here walking dogs for three different companies, while also building up a group of regular clients through Rover. In early 2019, I started walking a sweet, three-legged Black Lab named Bo and eventually began boarding him several weeks each month while his dad traveled for work. Sadly, we lost Bo in April 2021, and his passing left a big hole in my heart. Not long after, I began fostering a three-legged pittie named Abby and ended up adopting her in July 2021. When I first adopted her, my only request at the shelter was that she get along with other dogs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as she had a very traumatic history, so I no longer offer boarding. However, I’m still happily available for walks, drop-ins, and occasional in house stays! I can work with all different ages, handle senior care, and have helped with puppy training. I work in higher ed but have a very flexible schedule. My boss is aware that I pet sit on the side and allows me to work remotely when needed. Every family I have worked with has been different depending on their needs. I am experienced in crate training, free roaming, or setting up boundaries to help keep animals safe. I also am familiar with all different collar/leash/harness types and feel comfortable navigating with and around dog reactive animals.

About: I have been a house and pet sitter since High School while working at a vet’s office and all throughout college and many years after. I love a good pet therapy session to keep stress levels down for me and the animal. I have two cats of my own and know how important it is for them to get interacted with throughout the day when we aren’t around, as well as when we have our own overnight commitments to attend. I would be honored to get to spend a little time with your fur baby when needed! I am a fun loving, easy going, and pet (and treat) giving cat mom who loves both cats and dogs! I can’t wait to meet all the incredibly adorable animals possible through this opportunity. I am quite the stimulating pet parent! My cats even knows some commands and tricks. We love some treat giving, toy searching, and you playing in my house! I work for Rover fulltime, so I am always here. I have enough space, and gates to keep 3-5 dogs at a time, if the family is comfortable with other friendly dogs being in the same house with them. I walk all separately unless they are from the same family or the dogs are really good friends. We take about 5-6 walks a day around the neighborhood ranging between 20-30 minutes depending on the weather of the season, and even have a deck with a piece of “grass” where older pets can use the restroom easily or if it is raining, for a quick potty break. We have water in every room of the house, we love to give treats, have crates and gates for alone time if needed, and there is always an opportunity to sunbathe in our house or on our deck.

“Chachi had a wonderful time at day care. He got along very well with everyone even though he was a late arrival to the pack today but he got along just fine and everyone loved him. He shared a bed with a sweet little dog who was missing a leg. Chachi likes the big yard to roam around; he's older so he does not play but he still likes the opportunity to go free in the fenced in yard. Ian can well accommodate little ones, big ones and handicapped ones all together for a nice time to be had by all. Ian offers food on time and often, sets out clean full water (I know other places that do not set out water the whole day) and he accommodates each individual dog's needs.”
About: I do take up to 4 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 12 years. I treat my puppy like a family member and will do the same for yours! Since they are family they are allowed on the couch and will get plenty of belly rubs & cuddles. I work from home. My pup and I go for a walk through the park or around the neighborhood first thing at 7:30 am and then usually breakfast is serve. Unfortunately if no response from pet owners ahead of walk etc I will not walk dog. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well attended to at all times. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely by providing walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, attention, and any specific instructions requested by the owner. I also make sure pets get plenty of companionship and exercise while keeping their environment clean, calm, and stress free.
