“Carly took great care of my dog Avery; she seemed very happy and comfortable there! Carly was also very easy to communicate with, which made things easy. I would definitely leave Avery with her next time I need a sitter!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 12 years. I treat my puppy like a family member and will do the same for yours! Since they are family they are allowed on the couch and will get plenty of belly rubs & cuddles. I work from home. My pup and I go for a walk through the park or around the neighborhood first thing at 7:30 am and then usually breakfast is serve. We go back four our next walk at 11:30/12 then we go out again after work at 5pm. This one’s a longer walk and we follow that with play time and dinner. :) That is followed by cuddles. I will send you super cute updated images so you can see what fun your fur baby is up to :) . I also have a fenced small backyard incase your pup wants to do some light leash free jogging with me.
“Peter was AMAZING with my puppy, Milo! I can't say enough good things about Peter and the care he provided for my pup! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a daycare — it was a second home. Milo immediately felt comfortable, and I loved how welcoming and knowledgeable Peter was during drop-off. Throughout the day, I received regular updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. It’s obvious that Peter genuinely loves dogs and treats each one like their own. Milo came home happy, relaxed, and tired in the best way after a full day of playing with Peter’s dog, Khalil! The space was clean, safe, and dog-friendly, and it’s clear that Peter pays close attention to each dog's personality and needs. We’ve officially found our go-to daycare! Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Milo! I’m so happy to have found a daycare provider I can trust. 🐶💛”

“Laura is absolutely amazing! She’s so friendly and welcoming, and my partner and I instantly felt comfortable leaving our dog with her. She invited us into her home, and our pup was immediately curious and happy to be there. Laura took the time to explain how she cares for dogs and kept us updated throughout the day, which we really appreciated. When we picked him up, he was tired and happy—a sure sign he had an awesome time! We can’t recommend Laura enough.”

“Even though the other dogs were bigger, Chachi was not scared and in fact he loved them and got along with them great. They were all gentle dogs and knew Chachi was small. He even shared beds with the big dudes and went out for play time. Chachi wants to return soon and meet up with the same pack again because Ian made him feel at home and comfortable. Chachi had all the pillows, blankets and belly rubs he needed.”

“John & Rosa did a great job taking care of our pup for an afternoon! John was very communicative upfront and during daycare, ensuring there were plenty of pictures to review afterwards. Will definitely work with them again!”

About: I do take up to 3 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing, exercising and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I'm looking forward to making memorable moments with your dog(s). I can take your dog on an hour long early morning walk/run near a park close to where I live, so we can also play ball, Frisbee or with a toy! Then I could take your dog to 1-3 additional walks throughout the day. I try to make the dog feel at home,by being calm and trying to understand his/her body language, quirks and personality. Giving them affection and playing with them, but also some alone time.

“Meli had a wonderful time with Tara and her family. I received pictures and an update of Meli during the day. She was accommodating and flexible with my schedule. Would definitely reccomend.”

“Lee was responsive and sent many pics and videos. Her place is perfectly set up for dogs and her two pups were perfect new friends for our anxious little one. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Megan was a great host for our pups! Very willing to accommodate our schedule and responsive before and during our trip. Our two dogs had a great time during day care at her place and come home tuckered out both days they stated there. Thanks for taking such good care of them!”

“Roma is our Ori’s best friend! He gets so excited to spend the day with her and his dog friends. Roma is so good at keeping us updated with photos and videos, and Ori is clearly happy, enriched, and well taken care of at Roma’s. He comes back from daycare happy and tired—what more could we ask for? Roma is also so flexible and communicative about bookings, and has saved us on many occasions! We feel so happy and comforted that Ori has a safe and joyful place to spend the day when we need a helping hand. We enthusiastically recommend her!”

“I am new to this city and have an overprotective dog who is adjusting to city life. Jamie took very good care of him and kept me informed to help reduce my anxiety. I definitely plan to leave Rocket with Jamie for more time in the future.”

“This was our first time using Rover and actually the first time our pup has stayed with a sitter. Ioanna was amazing! It was so nice and reassuring to receive updates from her throughout the day. We will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future :)”

About: What sets me apart is that I keep my boarding intentionally small and personal. I host just one dog at a time (or two from the same household), so your pet never has to compete for attention or navigate a house full of unfamiliar dogs. This creates a calmer, more predictable experience, especially for senior dogs, sensitive dogs, or pets who are used to being the only animal at home. I work from home as a life coach, which means your pet has companionship throughout the day and a flexible routine tailored to their needs. Whether they enjoy long walks, quiet naps in a sunny spot, playing fetch, or belly rubs, they're treated as an individual rather than one of many guests. Many of my clients become repeat visitors, which I consider the greatest compliment. My goal is simple: to create a safe, comfortable place where your pet can settle in, relax, and feel at home while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home as a coach, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of quiet time to spend with your fur baby. I enjoy being fully present with the animals I care for, and I don't rush through visits. I provide a calm, secure, and clean environment where everyone feel safe and relaxed. At my home, there are sunny spots to nap, cozy hiding places, and no loud distractions. I take time to observe each dog and cat's unique personality and needs, allowing trust to grow naturally. For in-home care, I treat your space with deep respect and follow all instructions carefully, from feeding routines to litter box care to favorite hiding spots. I offer regular updates, photos, and videos so you feel connected and reassured while you’re away.

“My little fella made himself right at home upon arrival to Mark's place. He snuggled into some blankets for a nice morning nap then got up to meet his new friends and hang out with them. He was very content, comfortable and had a good time!”

“Ruben was amazing to help me with a last minute request for my senior dog who loss the use of his legs the day before. His kindness was very appreciative.”

About: While we currently don't have any pets at the moment, we have always been huge animal lovers our entire lives and grew up with a cat and multiple dogs and have watched friends and family pets over the years. We realize each animal is unique and with that requires different levels of love and attention. We try my best to adapt to their needs. We both currently work from home and have flexible schedules. This allows for time and flexibility to give your pet the time and attention they deserve. We have a decent sized apartment for animals to walk around during the day and have the space to crate them if needed. We also have greenery outside our building and live close to Palmer Square, which is great for walks and being outside with your pet.
“Laura was incredible. Super responsive, sweet and caring. Thank you so much for taking care of Lua. We will leave her again with you whenever we are in Chicago City!”

Avondale dog parents share their Rover experiences
This was the second time that Nancy watched Bentley for us, and the first time we ever repeated a sitter on Rover. We usually feel guilty about leaving him knowing that he’s likely to be miserable, but not with Nancy! He really enjoys staying with her. It’s such a relief not to worry about Bentley and actually get to enjoy a nice day out.

Sara and Jose take such great care of our 1 year old. I feel very at ease knowing our pup is in great hands and we’re so lucky to have them as a recurring pet sitter when I’m at work. They do a great job at making sure her daily schedule is met, maintain training, and give them lots of love and affection. My puppy loves spending time with their family and highly recommend!

Maria took great care of Mae Belle and she and Tala got along well. Maria was super communicative and sent tons of pictures. She was also flexible and gave a lot of love to my very needy girl. The photos she took were also gorgeous. I'm seriously considering have one or two of them professionally printed. I would definitely use her again to take care of Mae.

We are so glad we found Caitlin! She’s been wonderful taking care of our sheepadoodle puppy Enzo. She’s been very flexible and accommodating, and her dog Maisie is a sweetheart. As a new dog mom, I’m also so appreciative of the frequent picture/video updates she sends :) She’s going to be our go-to person for Enzo care!
