First & foremost, I know how scary & stressful it can be to leave your beloved pets behind when you travel. My top priorities are your pets safety and helping to put you at ease. I am very communicative & usually send a few updates a day. Also I absolutely love taking photos of pets, so be ready for lots of those! Owning dogs for most of my adult life, volunteering at an animal shelter, and working as a teacher have provided me with the experience needed to walk and look after people's pets. Each of these experiences has contributed to my ability to care for animals in a unique way: Firstly, owning dogs has given me firsthand knowledge of pet care. Over the years, I have gained valuable insights into feeding routines, exercise requirements, grooming needs, and basic training techniques. Taking responsibility for my own dogs' well-being has made me attuned to their behavior, emotions, and overall health. This experience has given me a strong foundation in the day-to-day care of pets. Secondly, volunteering at an animal shelter has exposed me to a diverse range of animals. Additionally, I gained experience in administering medications and providing basic healthcare. Lastly, my experience as a teacher has equipped me with essential skills that translate well to pet care. As a teacher, I have developed patience, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle different personalities. These qualities are essential when interacting with pets. My experience as a teacher has taught me how to be patient, adaptable, and attuned to individual needs, which are crucial when handling pets with specific behavioral or training requirements.
