About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 16 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, a large Newfoundland, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

Haley went above and beyond what I expected for my visits! I reached out 2 days before and booked the day before, but she responded quickly and was willing to take my cats on sight-unseen. The cats took to her quicker than they have previous sitters, and she provided clear updates. She even replenished some treats that ran out and did some additional sweeping around my apartment on the last day, which made things that much easier for me when I returned!
This is our second time booking with Vanessa and we are 100% sure there will be more in the future. Finn our cat is obviously smitten with her because he doesn’t pose for pictures for just anyone, much less even hang out within picture proximity with most strangers. She’s no stranger anymore and it really does show. Always feel totally at ease when he’s in her care.
River was really great! We had a bad experience with a previous sitter (not on Rover), so we were a bit nervous. But he did really great. Always had fast responses, easy to arrange meetings for keys and whatnot, very friendly, seemed really caring and knowledgeable, kept their litter clean and water full, tried his best to get acquainted with them even though they’re pretty shy. Really no complaints. Would definitely recommend!
Alissa was beyond wonderful. She took care of my cat for 10 days in a row and consistently sent detailed and thorough notes the entire time! She even noticed a little any issue in my apartment while I was away, and instead of shying away from it, she took care of them everyday - going wayyyy above and beyond what she signed up for. Additionally, my cat requires daily meds, and Alissa happily learned how to administer them and let me know how it went every day. I 10000% trust her with my cat care and will be asking her to watch my cat again in the future!!
Chris did an amazing job taking care of Maggie! He was very communicative throughout my time away, which gave me great peace of mind. Maggie clearly had a great time with him, and it looked like they had an absolute blast together. I’d definitely recommend Chris and would be happy to have him watch Maggie again!

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
