About: I've been around dogs my whole life, but volunteering is where I really leveled up. Since 2022, I've been a canine companion at the Dane County Humane Society, working hands on with dogs of all kinds of temperaments. I'm actually designated as a "yellow" volunteer there, which means I work with dogs who tend to be more anxious or mouthy, so I've gone through extensive training (4-5+ hours specifically on dog behavior) to learn how to read them and help them feel calm and comfortable. Four years in, I've worked with pretty much every size, breed, and personality type out there. I've recently surpassed 300 hours of service! As for cats, I have two of my own, one is an absolute sweetheart and the other keeps me on my toes, so I know exactly how to work with cats who need a little extra patience and TLC. I'm looking forward to meeting your babies and caring for them like they're my own! Pet care fits easily into my routine. On weekdays, I'm usually done with work by 5pm, so I'm available for evening walks and dinner drop-ins. I'm also open to early mornings if needed, just with a little advance notice since I like to keep my calendar updated and make sure I can actually commit. Weekends I have more flexibility overall for walks, drop-ins, or whatever care is needed. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always start by carefully reading through everything the owner sends me so I can follow their guidelines as closely as possible. I take notes right from the first introduction. I also love doing a drop-by visit before the actual care starts, just to get familiar with the house (how to get in, where everything is) and do a quick meet and greet with the pet while the owner's still there. That way they can get comfortable with me instead of just having a stranger show up. During that visit, I pay attention to the pet's temperament so I know how to adjust when I enter and how to engage with them. I also make sure I know their favorite toys, what and how much they eat, any medications, and anything else important. My goal is always to be knowledgeable, calm, and to match the pet's energy rather than force my own.

About: I have four dog nieces and nephews that I love very much and occasionally watch. I check in on my neighbors dog when needed. I successfully dog sat a Great Dane for a week who I fell in love with. I have a large fenced in yard that is the best for zoomies. I work from home M-F with a flexible schedule to take the dogs out to play or for a walk. The summer months I may be less available during the weekends but during the winter I will have more availability. I have a fenced in yard that is large enough for dogs to run. There are no other animals or children at this house making it a relaxing and peaceful place if the dog needs a more chill environment. I do have two doodle nephews that can come to play if the dog needs to socialize.

About: I've lived with pets my whole life, including a very energetic golden retriever, and have always loved taking care of my family and friends' pets whenever they ask me to. I'm currently a senior at UW-Madison looking to make some extra money! My schedule can be a little all over the place so just ask me if I’m available and I’ll do my best to get back to you right away! During the summer months I work full time from 8:00-4:30 during the week as well! I will respect your home and how you care for your pet so that they're the most comfortable and will always stay healthy and safe.

About: I’ve been hired by members of my community to, dog sit, walk, and accompany pups on overnight stays in the past up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m committed to caring for your pet like a member of your family! I grew up with dogs my entire life and I want to expand my personal network! Weekends free when I am in town! Expanding my dog sitting network! On quiet weekends I like take the pup(s) on neighborhood walks. Week days I work hybrid in Verona so my check in availability is limited to a close proximity to the office. With new clients I usually schedule an in person meet-up to get introduced to your pet and get to know your preferences for feeding, outdoor potty time, toys, sleeping arrangement, house sitting requests, exit and entry to your home, medications, etc. I follow written and verbal directions with care. For home check ins I will briefly check your home to make sure things are as you left them. I check your pets water supply and give them adequate snuggle or play time indoors and outdoors before leaving locking entry and exit ways.

About: I've been caring for cats for over three years and have hosted more than 10 cats for overnight boarding and drop-in visits. Cats are my focus, and I've learned that the first few days matter most — a new environment can be genuinely stressful for them, so I never rush the process. I live in a large single-family home with plenty of space. Your cat gets their own quiet room to settle into on arrival, with food, water, litter, and hiding spots all to themselves. Most cats relax within 3–7 days, though every cat is different and I always go at their pace. I also have two resident cats (both 2+ years) and a friendly 2-year-old dog. All three are calm and well-socialized. If you'd like your cat to have company, I can introduce them slowly once your cat is comfortable — many guests end up making friends. If you'd rather your cat stay in their own space for the whole stay, that's completely fine too. It's your call. You'll get photos and videos throughout the stay so you can see how your cat is doing. I'm happy to follow your feeding schedule, litter preferences, and any routines that help your cat feel at home. Just let me know what your cat likes and I'll take it from there. I work from home most days, so I'm around for a good part of the day and can check on cats regularly rather than only at set times. Cats get fresh food and water in the morning, litter scooped at least twice a day, and play or quiet company in the evening when they're most active. For boarding guests, I check on the isolation room several times a day — short, calm visits so your cat gets used to me without feeling crowded. I'm home every evening and overnight, so your cat is never alone for long stretches. For drop-in visits, I'm flexible on timing and can usually fit in morning and evening slots. Just tell me the schedule your cat is used to and I'll match it. In my home: I live in a large single-family house with a fenced yard and no cat access to the outdoors — all windows are screened and doors stay closed, so there's no escape risk. Every boarding guest starts in a private room of their own with food, water, litter, a bed, and places to hide. That separation isn't just for introductions — it also keeps things clean and low-stress if your cat is shy or has never boarded before. I have two resident cats and one dog, all friendly and used to visitors. They never have access to a guest's room unless the owner has asked for gradual introductions and the cat is clearly comfortable. Most cats settle in 3–7 days, and I let each cat set the pace. I ask that boarding cats be up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention, and I keep the vet's number and your emergency contact on hand for the whole stay. I'll let you know right away if anything seems off — appetite, litter box, or behavior. In your home: I follow your routine exactly as you've written it — feeding amounts, medication, litter, and any spots your cat likes to be left alone. I keep doors and windows secured, bring in mail or packages if you'd like, and send photos and a short update after every visit so you know what happened while you were away.

About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was old enough to know what a pet was, whether it’s my own, a neighbor’s, or a friend/family member’s. I love animals, and am considering going into vet work! I have experience with both puppies/kittens and seniors as well :). I can walk, feed, give meds, and do anything you need! I’m a full-time student during the week, but I will always have time to drop-in, or stay overnight. I’m very flexible with my scheduling, so I will happily do whatever you and your pet need! While I can’t offer boarding at my home because I have four roommates, I will care for pets in every way possible no matter what! I know some nice parks for walks, and I’m also happy to chill if they’re a homebody! Again, entirely up to you and your pets needs :)
