About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua minpin) since birth till now (11 years old). Together, we have fostered 22 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from a high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after American pit bulls, large Newfoundlands and a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and senior doggies who have hip difficulties and special diets. Our own dog is a 3.5 year old Aussie-beagle, so we particularly love the herding dogs. :) We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I’ve always lived in a household with cats and dogs - growing up, my parents had cats and dogs and now that I live on my own, I have 2 kitties of my own - Pumpkin and Jasper! I have pet sat for neighbors, friends, and coworkers and am always so happy to do it! I work fully remote and have flexible hours, so it is easy for me to drop in! I also could work at your home and spend time with your babies if you have wifi! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my 2 kitties. I’ve had them both since they were kittens - one is 5 years old now and the other is 3 years old. They are spoiled with treats, play time, brushing, and kisses!

About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.

About: I have years of hands on experience caring for dogs and cats through personal pet ownership, animal shelter volunteering, fostering, and pet sitting for friends and family. During my undergraduate years, I spent several years volunteering at animal shelters and fostering animals with a wide range of ages, personalities, and care needs. I've cared for young puppies, kittens, adult cats, senior dogs, and older rescues who were still learning potty-training routines. Through these experiences, I've become comfortable working with shy, nervous, and anxious animals, as well as dogs who need extra patience on walks or tend to pull on the leash. I also have experience with basic puppy training, reinforcing commands, managing potty-training accidents, and caring for multiple pets at once. I'm experienced with administering both oral and injectable medications, and I understand the importance of carefully following each pet's specific care instructions. I grew up caring for my family's pug, who lived to be 15 years old, and I currently have a sweet 4 year old rescue dog. I've also fostered and cared for multiple dogs and cats in my home, so I'm familiar with managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. One of the biggest things fostering has taught me is that every animal is different. Some pets want to play all day, while others prefer quiet company or need a little extra time to warm up. I love getting to know each pet individually and making sure they receive the attention, patience, and affection that works best for them! I'm currently a graduate student at UW-Madison, and one of the best parts of my schedule is that my lab allows me very flexible hours! This gives me plenty of freedom throughout the week to work around your pet's routine and make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. Since I'm not tied to a traditional 9 to 5 schedule, I can make time for dog walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight house sitting. Whether your pup needs a midday walk, your kitten wants some extra playtime, or your furry friend just needs someone to keep them company while you're away, I'm happy to help! I also have a 4 year old rescue dog of my own, so walks, feeding, playtime, and spending quality time with animals are already part of my everyday routine. I'm available most days and am happy to coordinate around your pet's usual schedule. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially those who are younger, older, or a little anxious, and I'll do my best to keep their routine as comfortable and familiar as possible. And of course, I'll always make time for plenty of cuddles, playtime, and pictures of your little fur babies! Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities! Through my experience volunteering at animal shelters and fostering dogs and cats, I've learned how important it is to be patient, attentive, and respectful of each animal's individual needs. I'm comfortable caring for shy or anxious pets, energetic puppies, senior animals, and pets who may need a little extra attention or reassurance. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I'll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and any special care needs. I also have experience administering oral and injectable medications and understand the importance of following the instructions provided for each pet. I live alone with my sweet 4 year old rescue dog, who gets along very well with other animals. I've also cared for multiple cats and dogs in my home before, so I understand the importance of paying attention to each pet's personality, comfort level, and boundaries. I'm mindful of keeping pets secure during walks, being attentive to their behavior, and making sure they feel comfortable in their surroundings. “River was really great! We had a bad experience with a previous sitter (not on Rover), so we were a bit nervous. But he did really great. Always had fast responses, easy to arrange meetings for keys and whatnot, very friendly, seemed really caring and knowledgeable, kept their litter clean and water full, tried his best to get acquainted with them even though they’re pretty shy. Really no complaints. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I've had dogs of all shapes and sizes my entire life as well as having two cats. With my most recent dog, I took it upon myself to care for and train starting when I was 14. Open all day on the weekends and can do weekdays after 5:30. Looking to help out busy people with their furry friends. About: I grew up on a farm with many animals. I trained my 100lb dog from a puppy and have worked with a variety of other animals. I've had dogs and cats all my life so I have your pets covered! I'm currently a nursing student so I have a flexible schedule depending on the days. I have classes throughout the day but can stop by both before and after classes.
