“Amanda was wonderful! I reached out short notice while I was out of town and my wife had a longer day at work than usual. She did a drop-in visit for our two dogs and everything went smoothly. We’d happily book again!”

“Namisul was a fantastic sitter for my two kittens. He was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. When we need another sitter he will be at the top of my list! I can’t recommend him enough. He’s a wonderful person.”

“Seanna is reliable, a good communicator, and great with my cats. She leaves great detailed rover cards about her stays with my cats and takes a lot of great pictures. I can’t recommend her enough.”

“Nate provided excellent care for our cats. Communication went smoothly and he responded to texts in a timely manner. He sent photos of our cats when possible, which was appreciated. We were confident they were in good hands.”

“Jolie has been super helpful. She loves animals and cares about them. She also respects and meets pet owners' needs. I couldn’t be happier with booking her. She is taking care of my babies, and I will definitely work with her again in the future.”

“Maggie dropped by to meet the week before so we could go over expectations both of us had and to meet my girls. From what I could see when I returned, things were left where they needed to be, and more importantly, the girls were fed and happy. The pictures she sent were a fun way to know the girls were being looked after! She was flexible as I made changes, since my original booking accounted for morning visits instead of afternoon visits and I needed to cancel a couple of days' visits. Thank you, Maggie!”

“Maddie and Anna were awesome with our puppy while we were away and we would highly recommended them to anyone! We will absolutely be using them in the future, and thank them for being so great with our girl!”

“Appreciate Ellena's help with my dogs, one who has special needs and one who is very anxious. She takes them for nice long walks each day, is attentive to their needs, and is a great communicator.”

“Tara was so kind and caring towards my golden retriever pup. She’s super knowledgeable about puppy training and I cant wait to work with her again! Thank you so much, Tara!”

“Dustin took great care of our two cats! He was very responsive and professional and followed our directions. Our very shy cat even came out to greet him so clearly he knows what he’s doing! We will definitely book again!!”

“Amira did a great job watching our cat while we were away. She is very friendly, responsive, and provided detailed notes and photos daily. Will definitely book with Amira again!”
About: I've had a lot of great fur friends throughout my life. Lots of them were beloved pets (cats and dogs). I also worked with herding dogs when I was a shepherd in Montana, and way back in my early twenties I lived on a farm in Vermont where I cared for and helped train 40 sled dogs. I have several years of livestock care under my belt too. I've done many extended pet sits for friends and family and I spent my past summer pet sitting through Trusted House Sitters. I care about the wellness of animals, so I'm very attentive to their needs and what their behavior tells me. I've provided long-term care for senior cats and dogs, giving oral medication, shots, and even subcutaneous fluids when needed. After several lambing seasons helping thousands of sheep give birth, I'm not squeamish. I'm dependable and capable of making competent decisions in the day-to-day and in emergency situations. Mostly though, I'm eager to give your pet attention, exercise, and fun. My current schedule allows me to work from home in the mornings (I'm writing a novel!), then take dogs out for midday and/or afternoon walks. I do have applications out in the world for parttime work, so my schedule is in flux longer term, but for the month of January I'm open to a couple walks a day and a few drop-ins any weekday and some weekends with advanced notice. I plan to immediately update my availability here as it changes with employment prospects, so what's posted should be up to date. I usually get out for a long solo walk each day, and I often end up walking my mom's dog, so I figured, I might as well make some new dog friends to take on my walks with me. I rent, so I'm not allowed to have pets currently. With dog walks, I make sure I'm well-informed about the dog before we head out. It's important to know what to expect regarding interactions with other dogs, people, your dog's special needs or routines... I'll go your dog's speed, and I'll do my best to understand and reinforce your training and handling. I like to let dogs sniff and explore, and as a nature nerd, I like to seek out routes that will be fun for me to explore too. If I'm doing a drop in, I also like to be well briefed on special needs and routines. I'll try to make the most of the time, so I'll offer play or pets or whatever will brighten your pet's day. I'm attentive to animal behavior, so I'm always watching for changes of note. I'll communicate any issues or concerns, and I've found I much prefer being proactive to being reactive when it comes to pet care.
About: The experience I've gained from both my own furry friends, and those that I've taken care of has given me a unique perspective and love for animals and their well being. Not only do I take pride in my care for each pet's specific needs, but I simply hold such a deep love and care for animals and their happiness. Knowing when I go out of town or am away from my dog that he is receiving top tier care is of upmost importance to me, and I can't wait to provide the same for others. I'm home from college for the summer and have a lot of time on my hands, on top of my current summer job, and would like to spend my time helping others and making dogs more comfortable and happy when their owners are unable to provide that care. I walk my 11 year old German Shepherd 2 times a day, and care for him with additional attention towards his medication, vet appointments, and outdoor time. I spend much of my day invested in his happiness and overall well being as part of my daily routine, so I am very attentive towards animal's specific needs.

About: I’ve been surrounded by and taken care of animals since I was a toddler. I grew up with all sorts of animals in the home from Guinea pigs and bunnies to dogs and birds! I’ve pet sat on occasion including dogs and cats as well as chickens and horses! My job is in transition but currently I’m working full time so I have time to drop in before work and after on weekdays and weekends I have availability all day. Within the next few weeks I will have more availability during weekdays. I want to provide an experience that makes you feel comfortable and your pet cared for when you aren’t able to be there. Creating an environment that reflects the care that you give your pets is my priority as a pet owner myself.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember — truly! My family has always had a small “zoo,” so I’ve grown up learning how to understand and care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Starting at age 4, I helped care for my brother’s bunny. By age 6, I was helping raise our puppy from his very first weeks all the way through his senior years. As his primary caretaker in his later life, I gained hands-on experience with senior pet needs, gentle handling, and giving patient, compassionate care. Over the years, I’ve been the caretaker for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, a parakeet, fish, frogs, and even peacocks. I’ve raised two puppies, including my baby (my 3-year-old dog), so I’m comfortable with puppy training, routine building, positive reinforcement, and plenty of play to burn off that young-dog energy. My background makes me confident, calm, and attentive with every pet I meet. Whether your animal is energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between, I tailor my care to their needs. Your pet will get the same level of love, patience, and reliability I give my own. I’m currently looking for a full-time job so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I am available for house sitting, pet sitting, and walks all day, every day right now. I’m more than happy to meet all of your pet care requirements. Tell me what you need and I’ll make sure it gets done! I have a dog who loves making friends so if your dog wants a walking buddy, we are more than happy to join. But she’s also content to stay at home if your baby wants one-on-one time.
Bayview pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was my second time having Mary as my cat sitter, and she did a great job! She kept me updated on my pet, and my cat clearly loved her. My cat also did some unexpected things while she was watching him, but she handled the issues immediately so I wasn't worried at all even though I was away!

Kat was so wonderful! Her Rover cards were informative (and hilarious), and she sent lots of pictures from her drop-ins which helped us feel connected to our pets even though we were far away. Most importantly, she took excellent care of our cats and was diligent about their health and safety. We always knew our pets were in good hands with Kat.

Sumedha did a great job at looking after my cat, Woody! She was very communicative, responsive, and flexible. I appreciated that she asked for detailed instructions and included details in her daily reports of how the visit went. Made me feel a lot better about leaving him alone for a few days.

My cat Ball was in a great mood when we returned from five days away celebrating Christmas with family. Eloise came at the same time every afternoon to feed him, change the litter, and play with him a little. Eloise was also very accommodating about scheduling a key exchange before we left and after we returned home. Thank you Eloise for keeping him so happy while we were not at home!

Our cats took to Brenna right away, and they really seemed to enjoy spending time with her. Brenna helped with feeding a supplement to our cat with IBS and let us know when one of our cats had emesis, as requested. She was available over the holidays, which allowed us to visit with family. Brenna's attitude was very positive throughout, and we could tell from the report card that she really brought out the best in our cats. We recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive cat sitter.
