About: I've been around dogs my whole life, but volunteering is where I really leveled up. Since 2022, I've been a canine companion at the Dane County Humane Society, working hands on with dogs of all kinds of temperaments. I'm actually designated as a "yellow" volunteer there, which means I work with dogs who tend to be more anxious or mouthy, so I've gone through extensive training (4-5+ hours specifically on dog behavior) to learn how to read them and help them feel calm and comfortable. Four years in, I've worked with pretty much every size, breed, and personality type out there. I've recently surpassed 300 hours of service! As for cats, I have two of my own, one is an absolute sweetheart and the other keeps me on my toes, so I know exactly how to work with cats who need a little extra patience and TLC. I'm looking forward to meeting your babies and caring for them like they're my own! Pet care fits easily into my routine. On weekdays, I'm usually done with work by 5pm, so I'm available for evening walks and dinner drop-ins. I'm also open to early mornings if needed, just with a little advance notice since I like to keep my calendar updated and make sure I can actually commit. Weekends I have more flexibility overall for walks, drop-ins, or whatever care is needed. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always start by carefully reading through everything the owner sends me so I can follow their guidelines as closely as possible. I take notes right from the first introduction. I also love doing a drop-by visit before the actual care starts, just to get familiar with the house (how to get in, where everything is) and do a quick meet and greet with the pet while the owner's still there. That way they can get comfortable with me instead of just having a stranger show up. During that visit, I pay attention to the pet's temperament so I know how to adjust when I enter and how to engage with them. I also make sure I know their favorite toys, what and how much they eat, any medications, and anything else important. My goal is always to be knowledgeable, calm, and to match the pet's energy rather than force my own.

About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals including cats and dogs throughout my life. These animals have had varying temperaments and care requirements giving me a range of care experiences. I am a college student who is busy for some part of the morning and afternoon but can drop in about three times a day. In my own home, I have two cats and grew up with two dogs. Frequent walks for the dogs and enrichment for the cats are a staple.

About: I’m a pre veterinary student, and I intern at an urgent care vet clinic, which gave me a lot of experience understanding important health signs, but also has taught me to be comfortable with dogs of all energy levels, personality, etc. Additionally, I am a dog walker at a local shelter. I’m comfortable giving meds, helping with senior pets, and making sure every pet feels safe and loved. Whether your pup needs playtime, slow walks, or just some good snuggles, I’ve got it covered! I am currently interning part time and well as volunteering at a local shelter, but I have lots of free time this summer!. I have time during the days for walks and check ins and am so eager to spend the time I have in the area helping where I can! I have a dog that absolutely loves playing! He is very small, but he gets along with dogs of all sizes and can play in my fenced in yard! If I am at your home, I will adjust to match the energy of your pet, and ensure they feel safe and comfortable while providing them with proper care.

About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.

About: I have four dog nieces and nephews that I love very much and occasionally watch. I check in on my neighbors dog when needed. I successfully dog sat a Great Dane for a week who I fell in love with. I have a large fenced in yard that is the best for zoomies. I work from home M-F with a flexible schedule to take the dogs out to play or for a walk. The summer months I may be less available during the weekends but during the winter I will have more availability. I have a fenced in yard that is large enough for dogs to run. There are no other animals or children at this house making it a relaxing and peaceful place if the dog needs a more chill environment. I do have two doodle nephews that can come to play if the dog needs to socialize.

About: As I mention elsewhere on my profile, I am currently a sophomore studying at uw madison to be a veterinarian (with a specialization in exotics). I have experience in canine and feline training + harness and leash experience in both species. I have grown up around many different of animals, and have been dog-walking and pet-sitting since 8th grade. In WI, I have 1 cat that I adore. At home, I have 4 cats, 1 large dog, 1 leopard gecko, 2 rats, 1 cockatiel, and several fish. I have multiple years of experience in care and husbandry with many different animals. I am currently a sophomore at UW Madison studying animal sciences on a pre-veterinary track! I would be happy to come in between classes, overnights, etc. I have leash and harness experience with felines and canines. I also have personally trained my family dog over 20 commands and behaviors. I also am experienced in other animals’ care, (I have a leopard gecko, cockatiel, and 2 rats at home.) For house sitting, I am extremely respectful, especially knowing that felines can be more iffy around strangers. I will not bring guests or do anything to make your babies uncomfortable!

About: I’ve grown up with many cats and dogs in my family, but I also have experience taking care of house rabbits and guinea pigs! Additionally, I worked as a kennel attendant, and later, spent years working as a veterinary assistant during school breaks. Now, I am now a veterinary student! I have cared for animals of all sizes, personalities, and needs, and I am confident that I can provide the best care for yours too 🤍 Because I am a full-time veterinary student, my weekdays are spent at school from 8-5pm. I also have on-call shifts a few times a month, which may involve me coming and going during the night sometimes. I’d be available to give your pet(s) all the attention that they could ask for after I get back from school! Whereas, in the morning, I could give them a good hour or two before leaving :) I’m a homebody, so I will be more than happy to stay in and relax with your pet on a weeknight or weekend when studying 🤍 But don’t let this fool you- if your pet is in the mood, I’m also very eager to play with them and get those zoomies out!

About: Animals have been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember—from growing up around my family’s German Shepherd breeding and training work, to years of rescuing and fostering both dogs and cats. I can provide continuous supervision, regular potty and play breaks, and plenty of outdoor exercise tailored to each dog's energy level and temperament. My home currently includes one calm, dog-friendly resident cat, making for a peaceful, low-stress environment where guest dogs receive focused care and affection. I have worked with senior dogs and cats as well as puppies and kittens. I am experienced with administering medications and experienced with disabled dogs. I work remotely and am home full-time with a flexible work schedule. I can provide 24/7 care for your dog or cat. I am also available for walks throughout the day and week. While boarding in my home, I am able to be available for feeding or potty breaks as needed. I am able to watch the dog or cat to see what they need when. If I am providing drop in visits or walks, my schedule is flexible. I am available during the day and evenings.
