Reliable, Attentive Pet Care
Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I cared for rabbits, hamsters, mice, and a pet rat. Today I share my home with my 13 year old cat, Meeko, and my housemate’s friendly 12 year old dog. I recently said goodbye to my senior cat after 16 wonderful years together. During the last few years of his life, I administered medication multiple times a day and became experienced in caring for an aging pet with extra medical needs. That experience strengthened my patience, attention to detail, and understanding that every pet deserves individualized, compassionate care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll treat them with the same love and respect I give my own pets.

Shay was fantastic with my dog, Lola. She was reliable, communicative, and gave my pup so much love and attention. I felt completely at ease while I was away. She sent multiple cute pictures that I still cherish to this day! Highly recommend!
Shayanne has watched my cats multiple times and every time she has done a perfect job! I have cats that require special medication and diets and Shayanne always did a good job making sure my cats get exactly what they need. Shayanne always treated my cats like they were her own and would always go above and beyond to make sure my cats were comfortable! Shayanne would even send me videos of her playing with my cats or showing them love and affection which I really appreciated because who doesn't want to see their fur babies while you are away?!?! Shayanne would be a perfect fit for an organization like this! I would hire Shayanne to watch my cats again and again in a heartbeat.

Schedule
I work full-time during the week, so I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks before and after work, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays. I also offer limited weekend boarding for one dog at a time so I can provide each guest with plenty of individual attention and care. My goal is to be flexible while making sure every pet receives the time and attention they deserve.

Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know pets thrive on routine, so I’ll follow your instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to medications, favorite toys, and bedtime routines. During drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, and lots of affection. I understand that having a stranger in the house can be stressful for both pets and owners, so I’ll always treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own. For boarding, I have a securely fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play. I only accept one boarding dog at a time so I can provide a calm, personalized experience and ensure every pet receives plenty of attention. My home also includes my cat and my housemate’s dog, so I only accept dogs that are comfortable around cats and other dogs. This helps create a calm, safe environment for everyone.

A typical day
I would love to take your dog to the dog park if that is something they are comfortable with. If not I have a fenced in back yard we can play together in. Let me know what your dog’s favorite toys and games are and I will make sure we spend some time playing with them/doing those activities!
