About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.
“Louisa and Sammy did an excellent job of taking care of our 7 month old puppy! They spent time playing with her and working with her on training so she is prepared for her puppy class tomorrow! Thank you!”

“Robert was our first experience here at Rover and he was great to work with. He offer to come to our house earlier to meet with our guys, even though our booking was kinda last minute. Our dogs suffers from separation anxiety and are very vocal, but Robert was very patient with them and won them over. We would definitely recommend him to anybody looking for somebody reliable to watch over their pets and we would love to work with him again!”

“Kaitlyn accommodated a last minute request for us, which really helped us out. She did an amazing job with our energetic puppy, he was happy and well taken care of. Our house was in left great shape. Would love to use her services again.”

“Maureen did an amazing job house-sitting our dog and two bunnies. She asked great questions and was very detailed oriented when understanding the care guide. Highly recommend!!”

“Lillian watched our shy/nervous pup overnight for the first time and was great! She was super patient with him and treated our home with respect! Will absolutely be booking again in the future!”

About: Hi all, my name is Alina and I’m new to Rover :). I have been a reliable dog/cat sitter for family, friends, and co-workers for a few years. I am a respectful, friendly, animal-loving soul that is free all summer to care for pets and make them feel safe and happy! I am starting medical school in the fall so I am excited to get some time with furry friends this summer. I love getting animals outside for walks and playtime. I am happy to work with pets of all ages. I am starting medical school at UW-Madison in the fall so I am not working any particular job this summer other than pet-sitting. With this, my schedule is very flexible and I’m available just about any day of the week/weekends except a few select dates. I’m happy to work early mornings and late nights too if needed. At my client’s home, I care for pets by following their feeding routine, brushing their fur, and incorporating lots of playtime and exercise. While I haven’t been previously asked, I would also be happy to bathe pets if requested!
“Lizzie was a great in-home option for us while we were away for a few nights. I wasn’t concerned about our dogs while we were away and appreciated coming home to happy dogs! Thanks, Lizzie!”

“Seanna was fantastic with my reactive pup! She communicated well and kept me up to date with how Willa was doing. I hate having to leave my pup when I travel, but I had complete peace of mind while Seanna stayed with Willa. I recommend Seanna without hesitation!”

“Jordyn is so sweet with our dog Tina! We feel lucky to have found her. She’s super patient with our shy pup and always takes great care of the house while we are gone - going the extra mile like putting away dishes or shoveling the driveway, which I never expect. She’s trustworthy, communicative, and friendly. You should book her!”

“Tara is absolutely fantastic!! She did an amazing job pet sitting our dog and cats for the weekend. Our dog has anxiety and one of our cats is elderly and Tara took such good care of them. Came home to happy pets and a clean home. So grateful to have found her!! ❤️”

About: Hiello! I’m a lifelong animal lover and UW medical student with over a decade of hands-on experience caring for my own pets—my cat Aya (10 years) and my Italian Greyhound, Artemis (4+ years). I understand that every animal has a unique personality and needs, and I treat each pet in my care with the same patience, gentleness, and attentiveness I give my own. You can trust that your pet will be safe, deeply cared for, and truly loved while you’re away. I also have training in BLS for med school and have handled medical care for my own pets and quite a few medically complex animals! As I'm already walking my own dog and taking him out regularly, adding another dog (or dogs) to the mix is no problem! :) I am an MD/PhD student currently in my PhD years and have flexible hours for work. I can board dogs, but won't be able to board other cats (although I can do any drop-ins throughout the week). I am available for drop-ins any day except Tuesday night between 5-8pm, but I could do afterwards if needed. In my apartment, pets are cared for in a calm, structured, and loving environment. I have multiple spaces available so pets can have quiet downtime or separation if they need it, while still feeling safe and comfortable. My dog is very friendly and enjoys the company of other animals, but I always prioritize each pet’s individual comfort and boundaries. I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and rest—and provide plenty of affection and supervision. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and maintain your pet’s normal schedule to help them feel secure and stress-free.
“It was so nice to know we had a reliable, kind and experienced pet sitter! Amy took care of our two dogs, cat, and gecko and sent great pictures during her stay. We were lucky to have her!”

“Dustin came to dog sit for me at a last minute request! He even offered to stay late for me until my next door neighbor could take over, due to her having flight delays. Thanks so much for taking care of my girl, Dustin! 🥰🐾🐕”

“Nate watched our 3 dogs and stayed at our house for a long weekend. He was great with our active puppy, gave medication to our senior dog, and provided lots of love to our pit bull snuggler. We recieved lots of pictures and the dogs were worn out when we got home, he took them on walks and played with them in our backyard. The dogs loved Nate. Would love to have him take care of our dogs again anytime!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every size and breed since I was a 14. I grew up in Alaska so there were more safety concerns when taking animals out for their walks. I know to take great care of your furry family member. I’ currently working from home and volunteer coaching volleyball. I would love to take your dog on daily walks to the coffee shop and ensure that they will receive lots of love and attention! There is an open space dedicated at my apartment for dogs to do their business and I have a closed in patio if they need some fresh air. I have no problem crating your dog if needed but I wouldn’t mind letting a pup on the couch!
“Katie was fantastic with my dog, who really seemed to take to her and wasn't anxious as he sometimes can be in new settings with new people. Katie sent frequent updates and photos, always seemed to have my dog's best interests in mind and she quickly adjusted to some unavoidable last-minute changes in the booking. She really helped me out in a challenging situation, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.”

“Zoe was fantastic! Great at communicating and sending pics throughout the stay. She took Ollie for 2 nice long walks which he loved. I really appreciated her care and wouldn't hesitate to have her sit again!”

Madison pet parents share their Rover experiences
We were delighted with all of our experiences with Manu and how she cared for our dog, Bella for four days. Manu doesn’t just love dogs! She is knowledgeable about dog health, behavior and training as well as being very perceptive about a dog’s needs. Even before Manu started, she made sure that she had all the information she needed. Then when she had a question she spoke with our contact person. Then while we were away, she sent us s wonderful stream of photos of her playing with, walking and exploring with Bella. Bella was clearly very happy about being with Manu when we picked Bella up. We all feel confident that we left Bella in good hands and hope to work with her again. Review from 4 members of our family.

We have entrusted Alaina with the care of our two high-energy Labrador puppies on numerous occasions, and she consistently provides excellent service. During her most recent visit, she spent quality time engaging them in outdoor play in the yard, their favorite activity, and ensured they received the special treats we had provided. We returned home to two happy, well-cared-for, and content puppies. Alaina is dependable, attentive, and demonstrates genuine care for the animals in her charge. We highly recommend her to anyone seeking a trustworthy and responsible pet sitter.

Sophie was great with our Brittany and Lab. We had to book something last minute and she responded right away with her availability. Showed up on time and gave good updates with pictures of how the night was going with the dogs. We have a Brittany that has horrible separation anxiety. She did very well with Sophie after only meeting her for 5 minutes before we had to leave. I would recommend her to anyone needing a good dog sitter.

We were so fortunate to have Abigail take care of our cats while we were away! She was thoughtful, professional, reliable, communicative throughout our time away, and my favorite, provided photos throughout the day! Total peace of mind. The cats have already asked when she’ll be back.

Great having Dustin back to house sit our dog, Finley, for a week! Do appreciate his updates and photos and he is great at leaving the house tidy when he leaves and our high energy dog nice and tired out! Look forward to having him take care of Finley again in the future!
