The best care for your best friend!Westhaven Trails, Madison, WI

Hello & Welcome! We’re so happy you’re considering Sasha’s Pawlz Pet Care, LLC for your fur family’s care! Providing the best care for your best friends is my life’s passion and I’m so excited to work with you to tailor care specific for you and your pawlz.

Current service offerings include:

• Evening and weekend walks and visits for all your pawlz – canine, feline, and everyone in between! These walks and visits can be 30- or 60-minutes and designed to meet your needs.

• Weekday mid-day walks and visits – Appointments can be booked in 10-15-minute pop-in/potty breaks or 30-minutes walks or drop-ins

• Daycare – Working from home allows me the flexibility to provide pups companionship if they’d rather not spend their days home alone or you’ll be out odd-hours and traditional daycare facilities aren’t available. Sasha is a fan of her daytime naps, so we don’t offer daycare in the traditional sense. However, we almost always have another dog or two in our home, so playtime may be available but not guaranteed. Daycare is available for up-to 10 hours/day with flexible drop-off/pick-up times.

• Boarding – Welcome to the family! Your pups are welcome to hang out with us in our home while you’re away. Long walks, playtime, fetch in the backyard, and lounging around the house are all included.

• Others upon request; feel free to check out sashaspawlz .com for more ideas!

Why should you entrust me with your pawlz’ care?

My journey into the dog world really began when I adopted Sasha in 2016. Starting as a possessive, reactive, and self-entitled dog – through consistent work and training – she is now a respectful, loyal, and accountable pup. As an owner of a high-energy dog, I have learned how to positively redirect that energy through exercise, enrichment, and training. I also volunteer with Fetch WI Rescue – a foster-based dog rescue – and have gained experience with various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and levels or trust and training. As such, I am happy to work with your pup during their visits on any training you are doing with them. My experience is primarily with balanced training techniques, but I will continue any training you do with your pup using your methods.

We also live with two rabbits - Zeke and Zorro. Their space is in an area of our home our guest pawlz do not have access to, and all are able to coexist safely and harmoniously. I am very familiar with rabbit needs and habits, having cared for several before finally making my life-long dreams come true and adopting two of my own, and you should feel comfortable and confident entrusting the care of yours with me! I also have extensive experience with cats, indoor birds, other small animals, and farm care.

Health and safety are my top concerns. I am certified in pet first aid and CPR and always taking additional training classes. In addition to Rover's Guarantee, I am fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC, maintain current vaccination records of all pups in my home, and require owner confirmation of flea and tick treatment. I am a huge fan of open communication and ensuring you are actively involved in your pawlz’ care. I will always follow all instructions you provide as you truly know your pets best! Likewise, if anything ever seems “off” during our visits, you will be the first to know.

**Effective March 15, 2020: Current vet/vaccination records must be on file for all walks, visits, and boarding stays. Please use this link to easily submit them:

Home full-time-sun porch-love dogs.Sun Prairie, WI

Thank you for choosing The Dog House for your canine friend's boarding.

I have cared for over five hundred fifty dogs in five and a half years of boarding.

The vast majority of these have enjoyed their times with us, as witnessed by the large number of positive reviews we've received. I'll treat your dog with love, kindness and respect. Your dog will be safe, happy, well-exercised and well-cared for during their stay, and excited to see you on your return.

Please know that I rarely agree to board a dog without meeting the dog and owner first.

I DO NOT wish to board any Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes for liability reasons. NOR do I wish to board any puppies under five months. All dogs MUST be house-trained [potty-, chew- and no digging-trained] and neutered or spayed, for expense reasons.

2.5 acres & huge fenced play area!Verona, WI

My husband and I have been involved with dog rescue for over a decade and truly love pups. We have a couple of acres on a private drive with a very large fenced in area for safe play. We allow the dogs to play in the pool and always have them on long leads if needed. They love all the smells and adventures that the country life provides, yet we are still close enough to town to make for convenient drops and pick ups. We are always very flexible and happy to accommodate your schedule. I am also willing to pick up and drop off at your home if needed, so please don't hesitate to ask. I hope to get the chance to care for your pup the next time you are out of town!

We live very close to Dane County Airport for convenient drop off and pick up!! Happy Tails (East Madison)Ridgewood, MADISON, WI

I love dogs VERY much and I promise yours will get spoiled and loved while you are away. You can travel and not worry because your fur baby will be safe, happy and get a ton of affection! He or she will enjoy a lot of play time outside, snuggles and belly rubs!

Being in rescue, I have learned the value of slow introductions of new dogs into a new environment and pack. I feel that a slow approach is better and less stressful for all the animals. It is also easier to calm anyone that is overly excited, when there is ample time to meet slowly. Therefore, I don't feel a quick and forced meeting between all the dogs before their stay is the best way to do things.

However, I am happy to meet with you and your pet ahead of time so you can get to know me, see where I live and allow me to interact with your dog before their stay. If you wish to have your dog(s) meet mine, then I can accommodate that. My dogs do not do well meeting new people, so I will be doing the intro of visiting dogs alone to mine, and owners can watch out the window to view the interaction between the animals in the fenced yard.

My dogs are VERY energetic and tend to overwhelm a visiting dog for the first 10-15 minutes (their main goal is to lick the other dogs face)...but then all is fine. Please keep this in mind if you have a very small or very timid dog. I recommend booking with me if your dog is over 20 lbs unless he/she is great with big dogs.

About this sitter:

I am a working professional in the software industry. I do go into an office most days - but have a very flexible schedule. I can usually accommodate most drop off and pick up times. However, the pups are home without me during a few week days.

Why I love dog sitting

I've been a dog lover my entire life. I stop everyone walking a dog on the street to see if I can pet them. I also work for a rescue and foster several dogs per year.

Meet my pets

I recently moved into a new house! I have a very large yard with a 6 foot privacy fence. I have 2 Cocker Spaniels,1 Pit Bull mix, 1 Coon Hound mix, and 1 Beagle mix - and they all enjoy having company! Your dog will be treated as though they are one of my own. They can bring their own toys and beds - but we have plenty for them to share. Your dog will also be able to sleep with us if you approve of that.

My experience administering medication

Yes, I'm happy to give medications. I don't know how to administer injections of drugs with a syringe, but I'd be happy to learn from you.

Experienced Pack Leader/TrainerSun Prairie, WI

Hello! I’m Erika and I have been caring for pets professionally for more than 8 years. I have experience training and caring for all breeds and types as a pack leader and trainer at a local dog daycare. I have been pet-sitting professionally for over 3 years. I have handled reactive dogs and special needs dogs of all ages. I like to work on manners and basic commands as well as invent new games to keep their minds and bodies stimulated.

I keep updated with the latest research, techniques, and methods in dog behavior training to ensure that your pup is getting the best care available. My philosophy and dog behavior techniques are influenced by renowned Veterinarian and dog behaviorist, Dr. Ian Dunbar, who emphasizes positive reinforcement and communication as the best means of living harmoniously with our pets.

While dogs are the majority of my clientele, I am qualified to care for all types of pets. Your cats, fish, lizards, birds or turantulas will be well cared for while you are away as well!

While I love animals as much as the next pet sitter, I believe there is a higher standard required of someone you potentially hire to do the job. Experience, ongoing education, and professionalism mean a better understanding and connection with your pet, which leads to better interactions and more fun!

With me, you know your pet will be in good hands in the event of an emergency just as well as if everything goes smoothly.

When you book with me, you are giving back to your community as well. I donate 3% from all of my bookings to the Dane County Humane Society to help homeless pets find their forever family.

I am dog's best friend!Verona, WI

I am patient and kind, used to unruly puppies and dogs who need a little extra training. I will pay extra attention to whatever specific ways you are training your dog to make sure they have the continuity needed to ensure successful training. I have worked hands-on with dogs in a clinic for three years, providing after hours care to animals being housed at the clinic and providing post surgery care. I have volunteered with two different area Humane Societies exercising and walking dogs yet to be adopted. I also grew up in a household with dogs. I am hoping to expand my education with animals and ultimately become a Veterinarian. I have worked with dogs as small as Chihuahuas and as large as giant Great Danes and everything in between.

Dogs & Cats LOVE me!Spring Harbor, Madison, WI

I have a small dog myself and she is a diva (large personality). We frequent the dog park and I've interacted with many dogs of many sizes. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a medium Terrier Mix and several cats.

For BOARDING:

Due to many established repeat clients, my calendar tends to fill quickly and I don’t accept new bookings for new clients with less than 5 days notice for overnight stays.

My home has an open backyard and front yard. I live close to a dog park and frequently take Roxie there as well. Roxie does well with other dogs. She's boarded with other dogs and participated in doggie day camps with dogs of all sizes. Most large dogs love to hang out with her in the dog park too. Roxie has played with Rover Guests of all sizes: Retrievers, Labs, Corgis, Yorkies, Terrier Mixes, Chihuahuas, Bichon Frise, and more! We typically host 2-3 pups at a time; many are repeat clients who love staying with us and they all get a whole lot of equal love!

I'm typically away from 8:30am-5pm Mondays-Fridays. Every day, I go home for about an hour to take Roxie out during lunch (12-1PM) and I take her for a short walk. Weekends, I am mostly free and Roxie and I run errands together if the weather is nice and we go to the dog park in the afternoon for a long run. Roxie typically goes out between 6:30-7:15am, 12-1pm, 4:30-5:30pm, and right before bedtime.

Drop-off/pick-up can be anytime before 8:30AM, 12:15-12:45pm, and between 5-10pm. My schedule is somewhat flexible during weekends so if you need a specific time, I can make it work. I'm very accommodating. Just let me know in advance when you are thinking about booking and I can check my schedule for that day. If you have a busy schedule, I can also pick-up and drop-off for free! I have extra harnesses (all sizes) and seatbelts for pups!

Let me know what your fur-baby's routine is like (sleep, eat, play schedule). I know that every time I have Roxie boarded, I hope that she is comfortable while I am away. I want the same for your fur-baby! Also, with your permission and if your pup is registered, I can take them to the dog park that’s close by!

For DROP-INS:

I have experience with drop-ins for dogs, cats, and fish! If you would like me to do a short walk during the 30 minute drop-in for your pup, let me know! I typically like to refresh their water, give a treat (if you allow it), and make sure they go potty! For cats, I will make sure their water & food is replenished and will clear out litter boxes! I will also water your plants, bring in your mail/newspapers.

Thanks for considering me (and Roxie). Let’s set up a Meet & Greet!

Good times at The Floof Shack LLC!Sun Prairie, WI

Do you have a dog that is high maintenance and you’re fearful that another person doesn’t have the experience to take care of him/her?

Is your dog extremely dog aggressive and you’re having a hard time finding a place to board your dog that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?

Is your dog not neutered or spayed and are you running into places refusing to accept your dog?

Do you choose to minimally vaccinate your dog and places refuse to accept your dog?

I have been in your shoes for all of the above scenarios! For years, I could not find someone to watch my dog aggressive dog, nor could I find someone to watch my unneutered dog. No commercial places would accept them. I was terrified to entrust a stranger to watch them—my dogs are large and strong and I feared they might get injured.

I realized there were others in the same boat as me, so I started Floof Shack as an alternative for dogs that may have a hard time finding boarding elsewhere.

My experience extends beyond my personal dogs. I’m an approved foster with Lucky Mutts Rescue and have fostered and boarded a variety of dogs. As such, I have experience with a wide range of dogs and behavioral issues. I have done everything from whelping and raising a litter from scratch to tending to senior dogs to dogs recovering from major surgeries with mobility issues. I have worked with many sizes and breeds. We have no breed discrimination in this house! As German Shepherd owners, we understand the stigma our breed faces, so we are understanding towards other breeds lumped in the same category.

My husband and I live in a large, single family home with a fully fenced large backyard. It is an excellent place for dogs to run and get lots of exercise! We have spent years working with dogs who may not get along with other dogs or cats, so we have specially designed our house to keep everyone completely separate if necessary. We do crate everyone at night and when we can’t supervise in order to ensure everyone’s safety. We happily provide multiple picture and text updates throughout your dog’s stay! We want you to feel at ease knowing your dog is safe and having tons of fun.

About us! My husband works from home a few days a week, and I work full time on the west side of Madison. We are generally pretty flexible on pick up and drop off times so just drop us a line to discuss what accommodations you require. We have no children. We have 3 dogs of our own—an Australian Shepherd and 2 German Shepherds. Our dogs carry pet insurance. We also have 2 cats and a rabbit but they are kept separate at all times from our dog guests so there’s no need to worry if your pal doesn’t get along with cats or small pets. Jinkx is my competition dog! He competes in conformation, and we travel all over the US to be in the ring! He is very dog social and will play with your dog all day long if your dog likes to play!

We work hard to provide a safe environment for your pet. We are a registered LLC and we have pet boarding insurance for our business. We treat our dogs seasonally for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and we deworm our dogs monthly. Our dogs are up to date on their core vaccinations. Bleach is our best friend! That being said, we cannot be held responsible for any contagious or zoonotic illnesses that your pet could possibly acquire. You are also responsible for any damage that your pet may cause to property or people. By booking with us, you consent to these terms. We understand that pets can be very stressed being away from home; we strive to make them comfortable and be very communicative with you in order to prevent any situations from occurring. Please be open with us about your pet’s needs as it is essential to everyone’s safety.

I’m committed to force-free methods and we ascribe to the Pet Professional’s Guild stance of no pain, no force, and no fear. We ask that you do not bring your dog to our home in a pinch/prong collar, choke collar, or electronic/shock collar. These methods will not be used while your dog is in our care. If this is a requirement, please seek boarding elsewhere.

Contact me to discuss your concerns of your persnickety pooch. I believe you will be assured and confident that Floof Shack is the absolute best care available for your furry family member.
