Dog Sitting Madison

About: A life-long animal lover, I grew up training our large family dogs in agility and obedience in 4-H (with the ribbons to prove it). As a child and teenager, I had a corner on the pet sitting market in my neighborhood. More recently, I've cared for friends' dogs and cats for up to a week at a time. I'm a trained foster with the Dane County Humane Society and have taken in multiple sets of kittens, some with medication needs. I'm a hybrid worker with a flexible schedule. Apartment living means I can't have a dog or cat of my own, but I've been missing having them around and would love to give yours some love. I'm a hybrid worker, which means I can flex my time based on your pet's needs — and even work from your home, if they need some extra quality time. I'm happy to check in with you regularly about your pets and send photos of us playing and spending time together! Please let me know if they have beef with other animals/people in the neighborhood or sensitivities like resource guarding, etc. For safety, I would prefer not to take them to a dog park unless they are extremely good with other dogs.

About: I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't owned a dog or a cat. Many of our friends and family asked for me to watch or walk their dogs when I was a kid. Five years ago, I started a job at a pet store, so my animal care really dove deep as I learned to care for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to fish and reptiles. I now work as a vet tech assistant and receptionist for a vet clinic in Madison! No condition will scare me off. I love all types of pets, big and small, and I will ensure that any animal put into my care is treated just like family. I'm a part time receptionist and tech at a vet clinic during the week, so pet sitting sessions will come before or after work on the days that I am in. I can stay with your pet at nights, head to work, and return straight to your home after. My weekends are typically open, barring any emergencies or trips, but I am good about updating my calendar. I am very flexible. If you need me to stay in your home with your pet, I can, I will just need to leave for work or other commitments during the day. I will not overbook myself or put your pet's well-being aside for spontaneous plans, as their care is my first priority.

About: I’ve been connected to animals from a very young age! I’ve always gravitated towards dogs among people and love playing with them and keeping them active. I’ve walked my own dog, Pearl, multiple times a week when I lived at home and dog sit several dogs throughout my time. I love giving animals extra love and a great experience. I currently have free time this summer before I leave for grad school at UPenn! My schedule is very flexible and willing to work sporadically or consistently with pets! I’m good with walking dogs with whatever routine works best for them! I’m highly adaptable and ensure that pets are both have funny and being safe.

About: I had a Maltese poodle mix for about 14 years. He recently passed last Thanksgiving. I have experience pet sitting, cleaning up, grooming, and feeding. And I also have experience caring for older dogs. I’m currently studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I live on campus, local and my schedule is pretty open. I have availability mornings and evenings most days, and have flexible hours. I mostly offer dog walking services. And I can provide them with water and bowls as needed. I can also walk them to local parks or other locations.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets for a long time now! I have been trusted by friends, family, and neighbors to take care of their pets! I also love to go on long walks or runs so can definitely help your pets burn some energy! I am currently a graduate student finishing up a clinical rotation, so I don’t have a ton of time to work. I’m hoping a flexible schedule here will help me with some extra income! I am available most week days in the afternoon/late afternoons. I also have a car for easy transportation. In clients home, I will ensure I know what their preferences are and always air on the side of caution. The pet’s safety comes first at all times.

About: Hi, I’m June! I’ve loved animals since I was a little girl and have taken care of dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats and more. I grew up with dogs (my family loves black labs) and have cared for them throughout all life stages. I have experience administering medication and am happy to meet all of the individualized needs of your pet. I am a very active person and love being outdoors, I'd love to take your dog on a long walk and give them all the attention! I currently work part time, but have flexible evening hours and open availability on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I live right down town and can easily accommodate frequent and short notice visits for your pet! About: Hi, I’m Matthew. I’m a recent University of Florida graduate spending the summer in Madison with my partner, who just graduated from UW-Madison, before we relocate to Minneapolis for work. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and used to public-facing roles where clear communication, consistency, and trust matter. I love long walks, hiking, and being outside. I got my 10,000 steps a day in Florida summers so I have no issues with a long walk on a hot day. When I’m home in Miami, I walk my mom and stepdad’s German Shepherd and my dad and stepmom’s two Schnauzers, so I’m comfortable with both larger dogs and smaller dogs with different routines. I’ll take your instructions seriously, whether your dog needs a slow walk and lots of attention, a longer walk and extra playtime, help with food, brushing, or anything else specific. You can expect frequent updates, photos, and a GPS-tracked route if you’d like one. Happy to help! Pet care fits well into my summer routine. I'm currently working a remote internship with flexible hours so I have a lot of time, especially for weekday walks and drop-ins. I already spend a lot of time walking so getting paid for dog walks would be amazing. Since I'll be relocating in August, I'm especially available for recurring or one-time walks in June / July. I care for pets by following the owner's instructions and keeping their routine as closely as possible. In a client's home I'll respect the space, check doors, gates, leashes, food, water, and any written instructions, keep to myself, and make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. For walks, I keep dogs leashed at all times unless you instruct otherwise. Given my experience handling a German Shepherd that weighs 90 lbs, I pay close attention to traffic, other dogs, heat, and your dog's pace. I'm comfortable with different walk styles depending on what you think is best.

About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (9 years old). Together, we have fostered 12 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after a Rhodesian Ridgeback and an American pit bull. Our own dog is a 2.5 year old Aussie-beagle. We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I’ve loved dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I’ve had both small and large dogs (all rescues!) and one cat, and caring for them has always brought me joy. I helped care for my senior dog through lymphoma, so I understand the extra attention aging pets need. I’ve also looked after neighbors’ pets, including hunting dogs, and I’ve volunteered at animal shelters. My experience includes walking, feeding, brushing, bathing, playing, and even just curling up to nap with animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have always trusted me with their pets. I just graduated from the University of Iowa with a normal work schedule but I have an hour lunch break. I’m available on weekends and evenings during the week, so I have plenty of time to give your pets the care, attention, and love they deserve! When walking dogs, I always go at their pace—whether it’s a short stroll or a longer adventure—and adjust based on your pet’s comfort and the weather. For check-ins, I make sure your pet feels safe and cared for by spending quality time with them, not just doing the basics. I’ll follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding, playtime, meds, or just giving them some love and attention while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities.

About: I have a family dog that has been around since my elementary school days, so I have experience taking care of him from both his time as a puppy and an elder currently! I walk my friend’s dog often and he’s a doggie with a whole bunch of energy. I have some extra time on my hands in between jobs and would love to help out where I can! I currently am looking for something new, so I can stick to a weekly schedule if need be. I am also open for pop ins on one off occasions if there is something new on your schedule! I currently have an apartment with an no-pet policy, but I am open for pop-by to see your furry friend. I can make sure to refill their water bowl, give them some dinner, spend some time playing to make them feel some love, and hang out a little if they’ve been lonely all day.

About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.
