About: I have grown up with pets in my home, as my family has fostered both dogs and cats since I was eight years old. I have experience sitting cats of all ages, caring for my own senior cat who I grew up with, fostering small/medium-sized dogs, as well as one wonderfully extra-large and rowdy pet dog. About: I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't owned a dog or a cat. Many of our friends and family asked for me to watch or walk their dogs when I was a kid. Five years ago, I started a job at a pet store, so my animal care really dove deep as I learned to care for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to fish and reptiles. I now work as a vet tech assistant and receptionist for a vet clinic in Madison! No condition will scare me off. I love all types of pets, big and small, and I will ensure that any animal put into my care is treated just like family. I'm a part time receptionist and tech at a vet clinic during the week, so pet sitting sessions will come before or after work on the days that I am in. I can stay with your pet at nights, head to work, and return straight to your home after. My weekends are typically open, barring any emergencies or trips, but I am good about updating my calendar. I am very flexible. If you need me to stay in your home with your pet, I can, I will just need to leave for work or other commitments during the day. About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (9 years old). Together, we have fostered 12 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after a Rhodesian Ridgeback and an American pit bull. Our own dog is a 2.5 year old Aussie-beagle. We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. I have experience with them all — from tiny schnauzers to giant goldendoodles that pull you along — and I would love to meet your furry friend!
